 "Yes, actually" she responded, having heard stories about them through the humans that had raised her. At the time, her knowledge on them was still very limited, but after she had been brought to the Tower, she had taken advantage of the library and learned more about the old Teen Titans. It all felt very strange to her yet. She didn't feel like a true hero, no where near as important as the earlier, original Titans.
Her thoughts were quickly directed back to the conversation.

Astrol continued afer hearing Carol's relpy "You see Raven was my older cousin by roughly six years difference. My Father was Raven's Mother's little brother. I like rave can some time have a hard time keeping my powers in check. Raven was able to keep her through meditation so her emotions won't go haywire, for me its by keeping my eyes closed and rendering myself blind." Astrol decided to let Carol grasp that before continuing.

"I see.." she replied, her eyes wide in interest. With her head and arms nestled in her knees, she resembled a child listening to a fairy tale. One thing continued to wander in her mind; he's actually related to Raven?! One of the legendary teen titans!
"Is there a way to eventually have full control over your powers?" she asked, wondering if, perhaps, it was something that would improve and develop over time. She failed to remember any documentation of Raven having eventually achieve full control over her abilities and emotions, but maybe it could happen.

"Not that i'm aware of." Astrol exclaimed then went on "I got to train occanily with Raven, a few time when i was still learning how to keep my powers under control Raven told me later that my eyes were a beautiful Crimson Ruby Red." Astrol said as his tone sadden just talkng about Raven and his past.

Carol frowned as Astrol's words grew more nostalgic.
"What happened between you two?" His sad tone indicated that his days with his cousin were no more. Carol hoped she wasn't digging too deep here. "If you don't mind me asking," she added politely, hoping her questions weren't too probing. She didn't want to cause Astrol any more unsettled emotions or pain than he must already be experiencing.
Somewhere not too far, a medical droid scooted about, preparing different equipment and tidying the rooms. Carol wondered when the droid would come by for Astrol's next dose of morphine.

"When i first join the Teen Titans i was barely twelve, when i got to go with them on our fisrt mission, they told me if things get to dangerous to hide. It di an hid, bt as i hid i saw each of them fall dead by some one who could create illiousans which killed them, First Beast Boy, then Robin, Next was Cyborg, then Star Fire, and finialy Raven was killed." Astrol said with heavy grief as if this was the first time he ever told anyone how they died, which it was.

Carol's face sunk deeper into her knees, she was shocked at how the story turned out. "I'm.. so sorry" were the only words that she was able to pull out from her vocabulary at that moment. She sensed the grief in Astrol's voice, and she wished there was a way to shine happiness on his thoughts. But grief was an important emotion. Life is said to come of ashes; and, likewise, strength and happiness from grief.
The death of the legendary Titans was horrifying none the less.
And only by one enemy, or so Astrol made it seem. An illusionist. It had to have been from the Hive; their chief enemy.
Carol was unsure of what to ask next. The topic was heavy; and she could only imagine how Astrol must be taking the memories. Carol recalled having a difficult time when the humans that had raised her passed. They had been the only family she knew; and their deaths (which seemed so premature in comparison with her young age) left her in the world on her own. She supposed she would ask the question that struck her mind;
"What happened then.. how did you survive on your own?"
Carol's assumptions were that Astrol had since taken leadership and raised the new Titans, as well as himself, on his own. That was a feat she was impressed by-- and thankful for.
She wondered who exactly killed the Titans, but Carol felt the conversation would then be directed in a more hateful path; something perhaps Astrol was better off away from in his condition.

Carol understood.
"Oh she's lovely. Sphyria has been very kind to Jane and I so far. She doesn't speak English unfortunately, as you already know" she replied, knowing that it must have been Astrol who had brought her here. Carol brought her feet back to her chair, now crouching in her seat with her arms nestled between her body and legs. "I wish there was an easy way to bridge the language barrier, it would be really nice for all of us to talk together" she added.
Carol thought of their new member, remembering how different she was from the human beings that inhabited this world. Carol felt that she could somewhat relate to Sphyria, given that they both must have come from different planets; the only difference being was that Carol had been raised here.
"She has this mystical aura about her, like she's from some ancient race. Where exactly did you find her?" she added.

"Her native language is basicaly the same as Starfire's. So it wasn't hard for me to understand, though there is always the Technology Room which has fourty thousand different languages stored in a single major data base. I'm sure some of the tech droids could develop everyone at the tower a universal translator. I would direct memo them if if wasn't that ourintercom system chashed during the nigh yesterday and is going under repair." Astrol said glad to hear that she was beng accepted.

She nearly jumped in her chair when news of the Tech Room were brought to her.
A universal translator is exactly what we need!
"Ah, I knew there must have been some way to fix that little problem!" she said, eager to visit the room Astrol mentioned and file a request for a portable translating system. "Where can I find it?" she asked, feeling that Astrol knew the Tower like the back of his hand; even with his eyes.. closed. Carol herself was a relevantly new member, and her knowledge of the various rooms and technologies within the Tower were limited.

"Right" she said, drumming the tips of her fingers on the hardcover book in her lap. "I'll go check it out, if you don't mind. I'll come visit again soon" she stated, getting up from her chair and holding the book in her arms against her t-shirt.
She began to advance towards the main room and exit, but stopped suddenly with yet another question;
"How many translators do you think I should request?" she asked Astrol, remembering that it would be best if the entire team had one. Or perhaps there was a translator that only Sphyria could wear? That seemed strange though; she didn't think any of them would want their newest member feeling uncomfortable.

Astrol thought for a few moments then replied "Tell them to make 100 for now that way those who want one can have and use one, and we also will extra as spares incase on breaks or get damaged"

100? Carol hadn't expected that high of an amount. But the reasons justified the number, so she quickly nodded in reply. Forgetting again that Astrol could not exactly see at the moment, she gave a verbal acknowledgement, "100 it is, I'll go get them"
As she approached the door, she glanced back and added, "I hope you get better Astrol. The team misses you". She dropped her book clumsily at her feet and picked it up. "Oh and, I don't have to keep coming back reading this if you'd rather be in silence. I'll visit again though, take care!"
And she disappeared into the hallway, rushing to the Tower's elevator.
