 Jemima gave a goofy smile and laughed. "Bien....ven.... eedoooooooh.... Esssss....something" she smiled sheepishly and nodded. "Oh! That's what it means! In that case. Thanks!" she said in her Texan accent. Turning to Sierra she grinned. "Do ya now?" Jemma cooed. She looked up at Senor Rivera and blinked. "Thanks... I... I've been...... I've just been around a lot of kids in my time" she whispered, thinking back to the foster care center and all of the foster homes she had been sent to. She was Seventeen now, she still had to be under someone's custody. When I turn Eighteen. Freedom.... No more being shoved from one foster home to the next. Jemima told herself.

 Aaron laughed sincerely for the first time in a while. "No. Well, sort of" he said in his thick Spanish accent. "Ess-pan--yol" Señor Rivera repeated the word, putting emphasis on the syllables. «Gracias.» He said. "That's thank you." Señor Rivera looked to Jemima when she whispered. Had he hit a chord in her heart? "What's wrong?" Almost right away he shook his head. "Never mind. It's none of my business." Looking at his watch, he sighed. Just as he let out that sigh, the bell rang. "Lunch time!" He said happily.

Jemima looked back to Senor Rivera. "Español?" Her eyes widened. "Did I say it right? It sounded like I said it right" She asked, nodding at the -thanks- comment. "Okay,"
Jemima smiled softly and played with Sierra's hair while the five year old girl colored. She brought her eyes up to Senor Rivera. "I--" she stopped when he continued. Jemima gave him a smile of thanks. She might tell him, a little later in the school year maybe. Once she knew a bit more about him.

Alex shook his head at her "Alexis, you'll get it. Spanish is so much easier than French anyway..."

Aaron chuckled at Alexis' comment about taking French. "You're going to hurt my feelings." he said. He was kidding of course. Señor Rivera raised an eyebrow at Alex's comment and shook his head. "Not necessarily. They're about the same, it's easy to get them mixed up sometimes. Spanish and French are very similar." He chuckled slightly at Alexis. "That's okay. You can learn."
Sierra smiled softly as Jemima played with her hair. She stopped coloring and leaned against Jemma, sighing sleepily. "Buenas noches." she whispered and closed her soft blue eyes. YAY TRANSLATION:

Please stay forever with me Alexis nodded “Alright. So it’s possible for me to learn how to roll my R’s? Cuz I thought that rolling your R’s was genetic…and that if your family can’t do it, you can’t…”
Alex shook his head at her “No way, no way, my sister can’t roll her R’s, but I can. You just have to learn somehow.”
”But how did you do it?” Alexis asked
Alex shrugged “I don’t really know. I used to just sit around when I was little, rolling my R’s to annoy Alice…it worked.”
JJ groaned “Yeah…and it annoyed the crap out of me too…”
Alex laughed out “Double win!”

Jemima was silently listening to the conversation as she watched little Sierra color happily. So, when the young girl put her crayon down to lean against Jemma, she was surprised. Even more so when Sierra said something in Spanish and closed her eyes. She's... Sleeping? She thought to herself, glancing down at Sierra. With a sigh, she looked up at Alexis. "No... I don't think it's genetic. My..." she stopped, of course she couldn't roll her R's and her 'family' could. They weren't her real family. Shaking her head, she raced through different idea's of how to cover up her little slip-up. "Ami's mom can't roll her R's, but she can." Jemima finally said.

Aaron shook his head. "You're friends are right. It's possible to learn. My little sister sounded hilarious when she tried rolling her R's. It didn't help that I kept laughing at her. And eventually, she stopped trying, but it's possible to learn, if you just keep at it." He explained, he noticed Jemma's slip, but didn't say anything about it. Looking to Sierra when he heard her soft voice, he smiled. "That means good night." Señor Rivera told Jemima as he walked over to her. "I'll take her now." He said and picked up his sleeping girl.

Aaron nodded and looked at Alexis. "Well, we start with what we do when we learn any language. Usually, it's what you guys did when you were little anyways." He sighed and placed his daughter on a blanket he had spread out on the floor. "The alphabet." Señor Rivera finished, standing up, walking over to his desk and picking up a pile of papers. "Alright, here are what the letters look like. And that empty line, is for writing what they sound like." He said as he began to hand out the papers. "Everyone have a pencil or pen?" He asked, only to turn away from the board and look to Alex. "Are you okay? Do you want to go see the nurse? See if she can do anything about the pain?" Señor Rivera questioned.
