It seemed there was some shifting in the crowd. Slight, yet noticeable. Especially when someone important enough for people to make way for them would see their mate and advance towards one another. It seemed pretty evident in case of Prufalas and Marius. 'Cute...' Revive's mental note was brief as he managed to discover some form of canape deemed edible and immediately used in accordance to this assumption. The young lycan didn't end up dissapointed with the taste... With how filling it was - maybe, but not with the taste. At some point he must've noticed Alexis studying him so he wiggled the skewer he had liberated from bits of food and smiled slightly. "Good food..." He commented casually. A fairly pointless phrase some would say. A very generic conversation-starter others would remark. 'Works for me' is what Revive himself thought.

Alexis's eyes flickered briefly to Marius and Prufalas as they met and then back again to Revive as he spoke. "Is it?" she asked. She hadn't eaten anything and didn't know of she would. She would hate to get her gloves dirty by picking up food. On the other hand, it did look good. She turned her head back to Revive, ignoring the refreshments for the moment.

Smiling gracefully as she watched the lovers greet one another, Kira stepped back and blended into the shadows.

Having returned to the food, Ophelia watched as the female debated whether or not to have food and the male appreciate the quality.
"I suggest you try some Ma'am, it's quite delectable." at this, Ophelia pointed to an edible wrapped something, she had had it earlier but wans't sure what it was, it tasted nice either way, "That one won't muss your gloves..."

At this moment Revive felt glad that wrapped somethings tended to dwell in packs of more than one at parties like this. As the woman who approached the table made a suggestion to Alexis, he went with a response to it ahead of her. It wasn't really such a bad thing, was it? They could even count down and see if anything happened to the young lycan... Not much seemed to happen to him, which couldn't be said about the wrapped something. It met its predictable end in record time and after wiping his mouth with a tissue Revive nodded. "Good food." He repeated much as he had earlier.

Prufalas could not contain herself as she saw her mate bow. She caught him under the chin with a single finger and lifted him to meet her eyes as they were tear filled.
"I am only beautiful because you declare it, and beautiful to you is how it should be. I have missed you my love, so very very much."
She moved into his arms and placed a well overdue kiss upon his lips, caring only for him and ignoring her surroundings. Her heart raced and her scent changed to the sweet lingering of jasmine and honied sweetness in response to being so close to him again. Her bodied swayed in his arms and she looked up at him adoringly.

Upon hearing Ophelia's voice, Alexis had half turned, eyes flicking to her and then away. She looked back at the food, watching as Revive tried what Ophelia had recommended. With an almost indiscernible shrug, she reached out, daintily picking up the wrap and taking a small bite. She chewed slowly, allowing herself to savor the flavor, and then nodded. "It is good, thank you."

"Nessun problema..." was her reply as she picked out various foods and put them on a plate. She never missed a chance to eat and was capable of eating plenty more than most. "Do you have a 'date' with you Ma'am? Or are you here for sake of romantic atmosphere..." Ophelia turned her golden gaze to Alexis, "I myself am experiencing what celebrations are like."

Never really being one to talk much, Alexis just shook her head. A date, the thought had never crossed her mind. She brushed it out of her mind and looked at Ophelia, slight curiosity showing in her eyes. She had mentioned that she was experiencing what celebrations were like, but from past dealings with elves, Alexis knew that they were more than capable entertainers. An enigma, then. She looked at Ophelia a little harder, studying her.

Seeing where the conversation was heading Revive couldn't help but snicker slightly. They sure seemed a sharp contrast with Prufalas and her mate. While the two lovebirds were exchanging compliments, the three of them were complimenting food. "Heheh. Glad I at least got a bite for the road." He admitted, taking a fairly generous gulp of punch from a glass, the silvery leaves in the bouquet in his other hand pulsing lightly with color.

Cynthia watched Prufalas and her mate and could not help but smile. She walked into the crowd and thought to herself, It must be nice to have the company of a mate. She looked toward Perseus who was still fidgeting with his phone. Cynthia pouted, Or at least someone who sees you that way. She let Perseus be for the time being as she made her way to the food table. She saw Alexis, a female elf, and a young male lycan. She gathered a plate of food, "Hope you all are enjoying the festivities. Kira went through a lot of trouble to set this up for us." She finished gathering her food and smiled at the three of them.
Perseus was on his phone, surfing the web. He needed to buy materials to redecorate his room. He was searching paint, furniture, and even clothing. Now and then he would look up from his phone to see everyone enjoying themselves then look back down at his phone to continue searching. Perseus used to be the sociable one, and say thing that would get any conversation going, but lately he's been silent. Mostly he has been locked in his room waiting for anything that required his attention. Cynthia practically had to drag him here. He let out a dissatisfied sigh while looking at his phone.

"It's certainly interesting, but still not my thing." she said softly to Cynthia, though her gaze stayed fixed on Alexis in a calculating way, "If your attempting to work out why I haven't experienced celebrations, it's because I'm from a traveling elvish culture. We live as individuals, we supress our emotions, and when we do meet up, it is for choosing a birthing partner, that is it. We find outward emotion taxing and time consuming, because we focus on work that we find useful." at this she started on eating from her large plate of food in a careful and precise manner.

Cynthia listened to woman, I see...her people are very different then Lycans. Cynthia smiled slightly, Considering her lifestyle, at least she made an effort and came. Cynthia took something off of her her own plate of assorted food and chewed slowly. She enjoyed the amazing foods that were arranged for them to consume. She glanced in Perseus's direction, I had to basically turn homicidal before he agreed to come. He's been so secluded lately. For Lycans that can end up being the death of him. She glanced at the woman, then to Alexis.

Alexis just looked at Ophelia for a few moments after she had finished, filing away all the informations he had given her and then nodded slightly before turning away a fraction. She nibbled at the rest of the wrap she held and looked out over the crowd of lycans. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, or at least, more everyone. She tensed, feeling someone watching her, and then moved only her eyes to meet Cynthia's gaze. Her shoulders relaxed and her eyes warmed marginally. She remembered fighting at Cynthia's side. It was brief, but enough to make her like her.

Cynthia smiled at Alexis, "If you will excuse me. I'll be right back." She walked toward Perseus with the plate of food in her hands. She looked at him disappointed that he did not seem to even want to be here. "At least try the food. It's really good." Perseus looked up from his phone and at Cynthia. She placed the plate on the table. He sighed lightly and took something from the plate and plopped it in his mouth unaware of what it was and not really caring. It was good. "It's good," he said trying to put her at ease. "Glad you enjoy it. You need a refill?" She asked referring to the empty cup in front of him. "Sure." he said.
Cynthia took the cup and returned to the food table and looked at Alexis, "So how have you've been Alexis? I haven't seen you since Aviano." She began getting some punch for Perseus while socializing with her.
