Drumming the fingers of one hand against the hilt of a blade, she thought back to her encounter with the human. "This... Lifestream.... It was in the human's blood... and he was far stronger than any other human I have ever met. Faster, too. I wonder if this had anything to do with it...."

Redraline nodded his head a twice before responding. "It would probably have a lot to do with it. But I'm surprised a human could survive the process, Mako usually makes a human very sick". Staring at the floor Redraline tapped his chin and thought for a moment before responding. "He must have been a very strong individual beforehand, and probably underwent a lot of dangerous procedures."

She smiled softly, but her eyes were hard and calculating as seh stared at the glowing green mixture. "Neither of us are human. We're made strong and designed to withstand that which would kill others; this could make us even stronger. ... We should inform the Master of this."

Redraline thought over this. On the one hand, it was quite possible for them to increase their strength using Mako. On the other hand there might be terrible side effects. Puzzling over that he realized he might have already been subject to such tests, and while his strength was incredible, the price was great. "I suggest we keep this to ourselves, do some tests on our own. We don't want to do try anything without knowing more first." He stared Ailill into eyes while he spoke, hoping to get his point across. He feared that if the Master learned of this he might take it too far and turn them into some kind of unthinking monsters."It may be possible for us to increase our strength, yes. But the risks are very high, even for us."

She frowned for a moment. "If the Master learns we kept vital information from him the consequences will be severe. But I suppose giving him information that may prove inaccurate would be worse." She took the small sample of mako over to a specialized containment placed in the stone wall and set it inside. "It should be safe here; until we figure out what else to do with it."

Redraline held in a sigh of relief. He wasn't sure she would agree with him, and was glad she had. That taken care of he returned to his chair and continued studying the book. The research appeared to be about creating Artificial Hearts. So far it had been only about trying to find rare materials, and their possible use.

Fishing the locket from her pocket she lightly tossed it onto the table. "This thing.... makes me uneasy...." She picked up a screwdriver and poked it once, frowning slightly as she puzzled over the pretty trinket.

Glancing up Redraline noticed Allill poking the locket."Poking it won't help you figure out what it is though" He sighed returning his attention to the book. He had barely began to scratch the surface of what information it might hold, and it was fairly difficult to decipher. It was obvious that no one else was meant to read it. Setting it aside again he went to a small fridge and pulled out a bottle of apple juice. "You want anything?" he asked opening the bottle.

"Water.." She stood from her seat and went back over to the lab station, placing the locket on the surface, she opened a drawer and began pulling out various tools, intending to run a few experiments.

Redraline reached back into the fridge and grabbed a clear plastic bottle of water. Holding the water in one hand and the juice in the other he shouldered the door shut and walked over to join Ailill at the table. Upon reaching the table he set the water down and took another long drink before examining the locket. "It's looks alot better in the light, brighter." he said, picking up a magnifiying glass.

She nodded in agreement as she absently took the bottled water from him and took a sip. Setting the bottle down she carefulyl took it in her hands and felt along its edges, searching for an opening.

Shrugging Redraline returned the magifiying glass to the table and took another drink before setting the juice back down and pulling a book out of a drawer next to the table. The book was about various gems and minerals, and was organized based on color. He began flipping through pages trying to match the gems up.

((I can't quite remember if we went into detail describing so I'm just going to wing it; we can fix it later if we need too))
She scowled as she found a groove circling the around the edges of the locket but we unable to pry it open. Huffing softly in annoyance she placed it down on the table and went through the drawers until she found a small, narrow-headed pick. She wedged it into the seam but, still, it would not open.
She sat it down again and simply examined it; it was very pretty. All blues, and pinks and green intertwining and seemingly shifting and bright as if whatever lay inside was living and shining with its own light. Gold wrapped around the the top and down the front and back, thin like vines.
"I wonder if, perhaps, the Master knows what this might be. It is clearly magic of some kind; no other stone I have seen looks like this...."

Sighing, Redraline put the book away. "I can't find anything like those gems in this book. We might have no choice other than asking. It doesn't seem too active to me right now though." All he saw was a well crafted locket with pretty rose colored stones. He knew it was magic in some way, but didn't know how. He really didn't want to disturb Chaos, but knew that was just his own unease.
