Dante moaned and swatted lightly and whomever or whatever was nudging him. "Nooo...~" He groaned, his head pounded his stomach was quivering. No more wine.. no more wine ever. "Imma throw up, no touchy. Did enough of that last night Raiden..." Dante groaned before he grabbed his shirt from the floor and put it over his eyes. Ah darkness~ makes the horrible icky owie light go away. He also didnt realize who was nudging him, in his haze he thought he had spent another night of booze and sex at Raidens house. not Ilya's... boy would he be surprised soon.

"Hey..." Ilya protested when he started to swat her away. That wasn't nice! "Then throw-" Wait what? Raiden? The woman raised a lazy eyebrow. She was hungover, but she wasn't that hungover. There was only one man in this house... and it wasn't Raiden. "Raiden's not here... What are you babbling about?" asked the woman, poking the male once more.

Dante lazily opened his eyes as he noticed it was not Raiden poking him awake.. oh.. no... he had not just slept with his best friend. What would Raiden think?! Dante met Ilya's gaze. "Oh.. sorry. Nevermind. How are you this morning?" Dante blushed gently. "I.. thought.. i forgot where i was." Dante said gently, before he looked around for a clock. "What time is it?"

Ilya smiled, honestly quite amused by this. "I can see that. Probably around ten or something. I'm gonna get something to eat" said the woman before leaving the covers, naked of course, to get something to wear. Simply a t-shirt and some shorts, only until she had breakfast. Then she'd pretty herself up. "No more wine for you mister. Ever." Ilya laughed lightly at that. Dante was pretty much lost after one glass. That was kinda hopeless.

"Yeah i know.. but it was fun." Dante giggled lightly. That is until the time of day sunk into his head. "TEN?!" Dante bolted up. It was ten in the morning?! Holy s**t he was late for work! "Crap im late!" Dante got up and grabbed his clothing that was scattered around the room. How did that get there? Oh panties what are you doing near the TV? Dante quickly dressed and was in the middle of throwing his heels on as he stumbled towards Ilya.

"Had fun, should do again! Not so much drinky. No time for food im late. See you later sweetie! Bye!" Dante said in a half rushed half joyful tone. He then rushed out of Ilya's with just one heel on, while he tried to get the other on his other foot. Dante opened the front door and hissed as the light hit his sensitive eyes.

"AH! IT BURNS!" He screamed and shut the door behind him.

"You know you-" Ilya blinked as he freaked out about the time. Then it was just amusing to watch him fumble about. Her small chuckle turned into a laugh as he left, screaming about the light. "Well... more breakfast for me" she said, still laughing before making herself something to eat.

Riding down the street at the saddest pace Theresa could possibly imagine for a sweet hog like the motorcycle she was steering, the oldest pair of the Waldroup siblings were heading right down the business streets quietly, the female driving tense with the occasional muttered curse at seemingly nothing and the male clinging to her back with a nervous excitement on his features behind the helmet he wore. Theresa would only roll her eyes whenever she caught the light glinting off the dark blue helmet before focusing back on the street. She had told him multiple times that falling off at their speed would do little more than bruise, maybe break a bone at worse, but the man would chime back with how safety always came first and setting examples to kids, blah blah.. She shook her head, enjoying the feel of the soft autumn breeze brushing through her hair – something that Kade was missing out on, sadly enough.. Though, he probably would have complained about it messing up his hair. Oh, well, a win for her – she had enough of his whining..

She slowed the vehicle down as they neared the winery, rounding the street corner to get behind it to the last building – the Roman and de la Cruz home. She brushed a hand through the few untangled locks she had to straighten it out a bit while she looked down at the address with a small snort. Kade, from behind her, pulled off the helmet carefully and eagerly hopped off the motorcycle, breathing out a long sigh of relief as he stretched out his arms and hands, “Ooh, it always scares me whenever we ride on that thing, Tess!” He said with an exaggerated shiver as he stepped onto the sidewalk, causing a small chuckle from his sister – the first happy sound he had heard since they left home. It made him smile at it as he fixed his hair back up to perfection, ignoring her as she started to talk once again about how they were hardly going above jogging speed in amusement. Instead, he looked up at the house and eyed the windows, breaking into her midsentence with a, “Oh! Oh, they're home!” He clapped his hands together once and turned around to have a duffel bag dropped into his arms by an expectant Theresa.

Safe and sound. You sure you couldn't have mailed that? Was heavy..” She said, not annoyed in the least that she had been interrupted seconds ago. Kade shook his head with a soft giggle as he hugged the bag to himself and started to walk up to the house, “Nooope~! I want to see her face! Um,” He stopped a few feet into his walk and looked back at his sister, “..You can.. stay behind –

No.” Kade's brows rose and he felt himself shrink a little with the sudden snap, the brunette's mood changing from mildly amused to irritated in a second. Well, looked like things were going to be awkward.. again. Oh, well, Kade couldn't have expected much more.. He would just have to focus entirely on Ilya and her new bundle – if she had the bundle yet! But he didn't think so~~! He cleared his throat and smiled once again, “Okay! I'll just go.. like.. now..! Okay? Okay! Bye-bye~! I mean, see you soon! Yeep.” He giggled awkwardly before turning on his heel and simply rushing up to the door to avoid any further nervous exchanges – thankfully, the door was unlocked! Like most places in Nirvani~!

It didn't take long for Kade to burst through the door with a loud, “Illlyaaa!! Where are you and – oh.” He stopped as he spun to see said woman at the table, stuffing her face. Normally, he would have chastised her for eating like that, but.. Kade could only feel a surge of excitement at the sight. Cravings!! How cute!! He held back a squeal as he went straight to the table to drop the duffel bag atop, “Girl! Where have you been? It's been so long!” He held his arms out as though he were about to hug her, but the idea of getting his clothes messy by squeezing an eating pregnant woman just didn't appeal, so, instead, he kept his arms spread because.. a partial-almost hug was better than no hug at all, right? While he stood in that position, Theresa had finally made her sluggish way to the doorway to.. stand there. Why? Because of the redhead she spotted watching the television right in the living room. Yeah. She wasn't going to turn around and run off, but she wasn't going to welcome herself in like Kade did. Instead, she kept a completely uncaring and bored stare at Kaleb quietly, allowing Kade to handle the introductions.

-Kaleb Roman & Ilya De La Cruz-

The household had been very busy ever since Ilya found out she was pregnant. She had taken it rather well, though she hadn't told Dante about it. In fact, she wasn't even going to. He wasn't the best example for a father... or anything serious. Sure he was a close friend of the woman's, but, she couldn't see what good would come of telling him. Kaleb had disagreed of course, from a male point of view, but getting involved was the same as getting into a cat-fight and hell would freeze before he did that. He was supportive though, even looking forward to a little nephew. Ilya had been adamant on not calling the child a he, but Kaleb was himself adamant about it. The whole event was good for him, it kept him out of moping over Tess. Yes, he was still beating himself up about it, it wouldn't stop anytime soon. In fact it would continue the moment he saw the woman, as was the case every season. Mope, get better, catch a glimpse of Tess, and mope once again. It wasn't manly, but manliness was what got him in this mess in the first place.

Today though, was another day, a bad one in the step-siblings book. It wasn't more than a week after the news got to them and neither was doing well. Kaleb was down, but he was more worried about the woman next to him that had sunken into depression for a good time. Ilya had spent that last week eating, sleeping, and eating... and snapping at anything that came within two feet close to her. He couldn't blame her at all, but it was getting to him. Another week inside and he'd be eating everything in the house. Lucky for him, the door burst open and life was in. Unluckily for him, it wasn't who he would want. Even worse, he doubted Ilya was up for that. Kaleb, in all honesty, jumped slightly at the sudden burst, looking over to the door, and raising an eyebrow at the male. 'What the hell is with him?' Happiness... that was so exotic right now. Even if it settled into annoying as he moved over to attack Ilya. He ignored them for a moment to look back at the door, catching something else there. Rather someone he'd simply look at for a moment... Man she was hot... Even if her stare meant he could die right now...

Meanwhile Ilya had enough snacks and dishes to feed a battalion. Not to mention the bottles of wine that kept her sane for a good while. Right now she didn't care for her outfits, managing this one because Kaleb told her it was time to wash all her nightgowns and she didn't have a choice. Well it was that or having a blanket cover her but Kaleb wouldn't let that one happen, even if the clothes were barely fitting right now. Good thing too because Kade decided to pop over, the least he could freak out over would be her clothes, though not the proper size... Unlike her step-brother, Ilya was unfazed the sudden movement into the home. She merely kept eating, until Kade went over to her, to which she raised her gaze to meet the male's. Ilya truly looked horrible, unkempt, no make-up, depressed, and food all over her. To add to that, it was a blank stare, and empty one. "...Here..." replied the woman bluntly before moving her eyes back to food. Ignore much? More or less But he had asked where she had been all this time.

Theresa, standing in the doorway with her arms crossed and her attention drifting from the redhead to the woman he lived with, was slowly catching that the room wasn't really in the welcoming spirit that Kade was. She frowned at the observation and raised an eyebrow, leaning against the doorframe with a peer at each member inside the living room – Kade, Ilya, and Kaleb.. yeah, this didn't seem at all like how she had expected. She had thought that there may be some awkwardness from the man, but Ilya often had decided to simply ignore the pair's tension whenever they ran into eachother, while Kade took the same route more than half the time. Though, his tended to be more due to his own oblivious nature than him trying not to get involved – how did she know? Oh, God, it was Kade. He tried to get involved in about everything – although.. he had learned to keep to himself lately, which was a pleasant development in the other. But, still, she was his sister – she doubted he had learned enough to ignore her problems. Not that she had any. If anyone had a problem, it was Kaleb, but that wasn't important right then.

Kade's face suddenly dropping it's smiling had suddenly caught her eyes, making her turn with concern and inquiry in her gait to the taller male leaning over Ilya. Kade, who actually had noticed Theresa and Kaleb's uncomfortable silence and probably would have tried to do something about it now that he saw it, was looking at Ilya with a crease in his brow. Instead of focus on his sister or the other man, his mind was on the pregnant woman eating out of what he thought were simple cravings, but her expression lead him to believe that these were.. comfort foods? He sent a look over what she had chosen to eat – yeah, that definitely looked like the typical comfort foods for most women, but.. why was she – wine? Wasn't alcohol and pregnancies a total no-go? Kade's face doubled in worry as he stole a quick glance over to the others in the room, Theresa, who had started to walk in a little farther to watch them questioningly, and Kaleb, who was simply looking over at Theresa for a second there. Did he know something? He wasn't acting like this was anything new.. Kade looked back to Ilya and lowered his arms, setting one hand on the woman's shoulder, “Ilya..? Are you okay, sweetie?

Kade had waited a short moment before he pulled the bag over to them, careful not to get it caught in any of the food, “I heard the news and I'm so sorry I didn't come sooner – I mean, I should have, but I only just had the rumor confirmed and it took a bit to get it all ordered, but I thought you'd like it–” He rambled on as he let go of her to unzip the bag and start to go through it, a slight, forced quirk of his lip as he tried to remain cheery despite her obvious depression. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't want her to stay sad like that for any longer than she had to! So, the best way to cheer her up would be to remind her that she had a little baby on the way to make her days brighter~! Even if the jerk of a dad didn't want to be involved or whatever had Ilya looking so grim. He soon came out with a pleased smile at himself as he tugged out a pale pink sleeper, a large, white G-clef printed on the chest with a spread of rainbow crotchets, quavers, and semiquavers going over the rest of the fabric. He held it out so she could see it clearly, “Isn't this cute? I mean, it may not be a girl, but.. I got a blue one just in case?” He added, somewhat nervous that his assumption would irritate her.

-Kaleb Roman & Ilya De La Cruz-

Ilya hadn't really cared for her visit and honestly she would've ignored him, well technically she was on that road, but at the least she acknowledged his presence. That didn't stop her from eating while he talked of course. Kaleb had joined the silence Tess had on her, not seeing the point to butt in on anything right now. He figured Kade would only inquire... but he never expected him to be this clueless. While the woman merely shrugged his touch, giving him a good moment to notice the harsh reaction before shrugging once more at his question. Oh she was dandy. Dancing and twirling... She was that happy. So happy, that she was going to grab more donuts to eat now in front of Kade. Calories were for the weak anyways. Who cared if she was fat? She could wear a sheet and not care and... sugar. Her thoughts tended to stray when she was depressed... nothing big. What was big however was annoyance when Kade began to ramble. She raised an eyebrow, just wondering what he was doing when he took out the sleeper to show her.

In the moment it took Kaleb to figure out what was going on, managing only to widen his eyes and turn from his spot, Ilya transformed. From the uncaring gaze that drifted in depression, her heart sunk at the little sight. The woman gulped, staring at the item as the doughnut fell from her hand. Two, three seconds of pure silence passed, a lump forming in her throat and her eyes watering instantly. She shakily stood up, looking at Kade for a moment and a hand going to cover her mouth and hold back that sob that came with the tears. "Ilya-" And just as soon as Kaleb said that, the woman had dashed into her room, most likely crawling back to bed, to cry. The male let his head hang in defeat as his step-sister went back to her room. "...Kade..." Of course it was his fault! Who in the world would bring that stuff!? "Just what the hell where you thinking!?" snapped the man with narrow eyes at the male, practically out of nowhere. He was about to say a lot more... when something hit him. That something being a terrified Kade at the sudden outburst.

His eyes softened instantly and his tense posture slackened. "You... didn't know... did you?" he said softly, realizing himself they hadn't spoken to anyone since their last visit to the clinic. The male swallowed, moving a hand to run through his hair nervously. Oh... crap he didn't want to be the one to tell him... In fact he didn't say anything for a good few moments. How did he say something like this? Even more to him? Who was so excited and brought baby stuff offer. He glanced over to Tess, as if seeking some sort of support that he knew wasn't there, for a second before looking back at Kade. "Kade... Um... Ilya. She... She lost... She lost him..." said Kaleb in the softest voice possible. It wasn't that loud, but it could still be heard. The redhead's gaze had left the hairdresser to sink to the floor. That... had been his nephew... It had killed him to get the news, but someone had to keep the woman together, even if it meant holding everything in. Knowing Kade, he'd probably go after Ilya... he wouldn't stop her, because he was pretty sure she needed someone else besides him here.

..Um.. Well. Kade hadn't expected that. He had gotten somewhat nervous as he saw the woman bite into the doughnut when he started to rummage, true, but he had pegged that all on cravings! He didn't think that she was hormonal enough to burst into tears and dash out of the room at the sight of the jumper he picked out. For a split second, he glanced at the article of clothing in hand, wondering if maybe it wasn't nearly as cute as he had thought it was – or perhaps she was having twins – or more – and was a little on edge at the fact.. But, that silly, petty thought was brushed off easily as he spared another glance at the table to look at the array of food. Comfort foods. Tears. Ilya. He had never known the woman to be anything but mature and, God, maybe he was over idolizing her, but he knew her to be stronger than that. She wasn't the type to get brought down into tears and overindulgence over something like babies or fashion. He sensed something was off, but he didn't know what, so the confusion only grew as he started to turn his head off to look at Theresa – when a shout had him pulled back to looking at the other in the room. Kaleb – he had forgotten him, but the man obviously wasn't going to let that last for long as he stormed on at him. Kade hardly had time to gather himself into snapping back or crying or any of his usual reactions when someone threw anger his way – he simply stared at the man with wide, shocked eyes. Something was wrong – he knew it – but he didn't know what it was! For Kaleb to suddenly burst out like this, though, it had to be something big – an odd thing, considering Kade's gossip was normally a good enough net to catch every large event in the islander's personal lives. It was how he had found out of Ilya's pregnancy, how she had taken Dante home drunk one night, and how simply ragged Kaleb had started to appear since.. But, those were all because of him taking care of his pregnant sister, wasn't it? Kade's mind could have worked faster, perhaps, had he not been staring at what felt to be a lion ready to eat him.

Thankfully, Theresa had stepped in. The woman had stayed near the doorway, watching warily, cautiously, for Ilya's move. She had noticed something amiss long before Kade had – in fact, she probably had the hint the second she made eye contact with Kaleb. But, she was none the wiser on the source of the disturbance – she only figured out that it was Ilya who had been affected the most, as her eyes and wordless escape elsewhere had informed the woman. Her eyes had followed Ilya's mad dash and she half expected Kade to run after her – he was much more perceptive on female problems than her.. Or so Theresa had thought. Kade's boasts and eagerness to help apparently didn't include the know-how and tact needed for this particular situation as she spotted him looking twice as dumbfounded as Theresa was. She guessed that it was time for her to do what was supposed to come natural for her as she chose to ignore Kaleb and start after the woman. There was an assumption Kaleb would be smart enough to explain what had just happened to Kade so the man could take over before it got too awkward between Theresa and Ilya, but that plan had been ruined little after three steps farther into the house. She hadn't thought that Kaleb had been.. well, affected to anger. The man was too laid back for it to be something easy – which meant it wasn't. It went beyond their little break up and her own determination to keep her calm, allowing her to hurry into defense for Kade. She needed just a second to get to her brother's side, a hand on his shoulder and her eyes firmly up at Kaleb in warning. She was ready to yell whatever she had to because whatever Kaleb was accusing Kade of just wasn't right. They had come purely to help Ilya and her baby situation out, not get chewed up for rubbing the women the wrong way, whatever had happened.

That had been her thoughts, at least, until Kaleb soothed his own feathers at Kade's face. She relaxed her shoulders some when she saw that. Much luck to Kaleb that they actually knew each other – Theresa would have jumped the guy for how he was acting to Kade, whether he was restraining himself or not. A look like that was enough of a smack in the face to her brother and she knew it. But, she had dated Kaleb for a long time – long enough to know he wasn't pulling this for no good reason. She kept her hand on Kade and stayed slightly infront of him, acting as a human shield from whatever could possibly be thrown her sibling's way. Hey, she trusted him enough to not hurt him, not enough to believe he wouldn't try something! The whole break-up thing had screwed up most of what she had thought of the man anyway – she couldn't be expected to believe her entire perception of him. She watched the two from inbetween, her eyes sticking more so on Kade to check to make sure he was alright. He had relaxed considerably with his sister's intrusion and, now, he was just confused. Nothing new there. He gave a shake of his head as Kaleb asked, a perpetual wince on his features as he felt more than a little pained that he had caused a reaction like that. It was becoming too obvious that this wasn't the simple work of hormones, not with how Kaleb was talking. But, whether he really wanted it to be entirely revealed or not.. He wasn't very sure as Kaleb continued to shed some light on the situation.

..Who..?” He asked slowly, creasing his brow. It was an entirely unnecessary question, but.. he was still grasping the situation and exactly what he had done. The longer he took to wrap his head around it, though, the worse this would get, so the hand on his shoulder squeezed to get his attention onto the woman who owned it. Theresa wasn't nearly as struck by the situation as the other men had been, but her face was grim as she spoke, “The baby, Kade.” Her voice was low, not wanting to harm the already delicate situation anymore than their brutal entrance had. Was it cruel of her to have more concern for Kade in that second than anyone? It was Ilya the victim here, but Theresa had trouble pitying the ill-fated when family was near. Her entire attention was on Kade because if she had taken in Kaleb's own expression, how ******** blatant he was about his feelings, she didn't trust herself to not get overwhelmed. She removed her hand from Kade as his shoulders slacked, her brown hues staying strictly on him until the moment he dropped the jumper and hurried deeper into the house, most probably after Ilya. She watched him retreat up into the hall, through the house Theresa was still awkward on exploring as freely as her brother was.

But, she noticed oddly enough, that when she looked to the redhead next with her brother tending the situation he mistakenly caused, it wasn't nearly as forced. The most hurt was Ilya here, true, but Kaleb – however masculine he exhibited himself to be – wasn't skilled enough to detach himself from what would have been family. One of the reasons she grew fond of the man. She waited a moment in silence, letting him finish reliving whatever thoughts had come when he first heard the news, before she stepped closer to him. “Listen,” She started as she raised a hand to let it hover in the distance between them, “Kaleb,” She paused again as she took a deep breath and lightly patted his shoulder, “I'm sorry. We didn't know.” She let her hand stay there for a second or so more, before sliding it off him and settling into silently watching.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

...Ilya?

The man stood at the doorway of what he knew to be Ilya's bedroom, already guessing that that had been where she ran off. He knew himself that his first place to hide had been in bed when he was.. less than better. The door had been unlocked and slightly ajar, enough for him to open it quietly with only the light from the hallway to really alert anyone to his presence and his own voice. His hesitant call into the room was accompanied with the door closing behind him as he carefully stepped into the room. He didn't want to completely ruin her hiding by leaving the door open for anyone to come in! Kade was going to intrude on her privacy, yes, but he wasn't going to let anyone else do it, not even Kaleb or Theresa, without some sort of warning. He frowned at the click of the door closing and stayed where he was standing, just inside the room and looking directly at the bed. He bit his lip, “..Sweetie?” He tried again to see if she would respond easier to the petname than her actual name. He didn't know why, but nicknames always had worked with getting him to feel more comfortable, so it was his best guess on how to ease into this without setting the woman into tears again. Lucky for him, he had dropped the sleeper back in the hallway before coming into the room. He would have to either gather that up before she saw it or hope that Kaleb or Theresa would dispose of it somehow.

-Kaleb Roman & Ilya De La Cruz-

Kaleb had already blown up at Kade, but his initial reaction probably could've had him go again. If he were someone else that is. The damage was already done to Ilya, and yelling at the male wouldn't do anything. His gaze hadn't left the floor for a while, only to close his eyes the moment Theresa repeated the grim news that had befallen them. It had been a strong blow to the two. Ilya hadn't even talked to Dante ever since they slept together, or so she said, so in his reasoning, the male wouldn't have a clue about what happened. To think, they were only talking names... She had been so excited, and he was looking forward to having a kid in the house. It wasn't in his plans, or rather not like that, but he wouldn't be picky. That boy would've brought some light into his less than black days. All that gone... and they probably would never know why... It just happened like that... His thoughts were broken by the upcoming noise from Kade leaving the room. The man's gaze lifted slightly to find a missing pair of legs. She did need someone by her side... he really wasn't much help anymore. Well emotionally anyways.

Kaleb's attention was now called by Tess' movements and her voice. More that than anything. After a moment, his eyes met hers and he shook his head slightly. "No... I... I shouldn't have yelled at him..." There was no way of the man knowing... "I know... He's not that oblivious." Well he was, but if he had known he couldn't possibly do that.Kaleb would've liked to have that touch just a bit longer... it was good for him. "There's nothing I can do..." Aside from making sure she was alive but that didn't feel like enough. They both looked like crap, and felt that way too. He moved his hand just a bit, as if to reach for something, but Theresa had let her arm slid off, so he had his own fall back into place. They could've been on speaking terms for now... but he wasn't going to push it. He had to strong here, Ilya needed it, and he wasn't going to dump everything on Tess. No... he wouldn't do that. "They might be a while..." he said softly, moving over to take a seat at the couch. He let his head lean back to the cushion and closed his eyes, only a deep breath coming from him. Well that was as close as he would get to offering her to stay.

Everything was dark, well as dark as they could be with light covers, and Ilya had slipped under them as soon as she came to the room. This wasn't fair... it wasn't... The last few days had been horrible, but she had managed through them. Seeing that sleeper, was just like waking up at the clinic to the get the news. An uneasy feeling hidden underneath the excitement for coming in early for a check-up. It was during that check-up she hadn't been feeling very well and had ended up feeling worse than she should've. The whole thing was still fresh on her, and deep down she knew Kade wouldn't do it on purpose. It still doesn't change the fact that it couldn't have been worse timing. A small moment had been dedicated to simply close her eyes and curl up under the covers and pray. That was gone the moment reality sunk in and Ilya started crying again, quickly turning into the sobbing that helped her get some sleep. It still would be a long time before she stopped asking why her...

The first time Kade had spoken her name, Ilya barely heard it. She didn't really pay much attention to it... the feeling was too overwhelming to think of anything else. To be honest, she probably would've ignored him had he not spoken again. "..." So he was there... In any other instance it would've been nice to see him... He usually had a lot to say, something that made her go back to him for conversation. This time though...Nothing he could say would make her feel better. "...Just... go away..." That had been her son... Her son... A son she wanted to be the mother of... Was this the way the universe told her she wasn't fit to be a mother? "...It's not... fair..." she managed between sobs. The woman wouldn't get out of her spot... but she probably wouldn't kick out the friendly presence. If the room didn't do it for him first... it had barely been taken care off. In the mess of clothing and trash was probably a floor... but it was threatened to be eaten by said mess... which could've tried to get Kade at any moment.

It hadn't been very hard to catch the hand movement from the other, even though it had been something as subtle as a quick twitch up. She probably was reading too much into it, but, even if that hadn't happened, Theresa would have still known Kaleb didn't feel like being alone right then. She didn't know much about what had happened outside of the fact of it all, but she had learned to be a damned good guesser when it came to people, or so she'd like to believe. While Ilya was where the bomb truly struck, it didn't mean there wasn't anyone else damaged by the occurrence.. But, still, Kaleb wasn't someone who would simply lay back and cry about his own troubles when he was so close to the disaster – Theresa couldn't see him doing that. No, he was probably doing what he was right then – giving hints, but being discrete, wanting someone, but sitting alone. She couldn't prevent herself from quirking her lip as he said that last sentence, although there wasn't a trace of humor in the situation. Even Jacob would have openly admitted at this point that he wanted attention, but she could bare with it. In fact, Kaleb's behavior was refreshing in the option of standing where she was or approaching – even if she knew there was no way she could simply stand there and let him mule over it alone.

She sat down on the couch beside him unceremoniously, finding no reason to be quiet about it. Actually, knocking him out of his thoughts seemed to be the right thing to do for her. It wasn't like he would get anything new with the time he probably had already in there. She slid her hand over his and gripped it, giving a nice squeeze before relaxing to simply soothing it with her thumb. She remained quiet for a moment or so before giving a soft, crooked smile to the redhead. “It'll be alright, Kaleb; this thing happens.” She leaned back into the couch, maintaining eye contact throughout the action, “Just gotta keep trucking through it – you'll be able to do it and.. Ilya will too.” She added with certainty and moved to lean on him. Considering the situation, she could allow the closeness – she would do it for anyone, after all, and Kaleb needed it right then.

Ah.. Kade winced as he heard the sobs and cracked, hardly discernible voice reach him. Ilya certainly hadn't been the peppiest of people he had met, but the woman was content. An emphasis on was as he stared at the curled up lump in the covers. Oh, he remembered that. It was a silly comparison, in hindsight, how he could think his own drama was relatable to something of this nature, but Kade always had an easy time sympathizing – especially after that whole mayhem years back. When before he would have been scared off by the crying woman and leave her alone until he could gather himself, Kade found himself to be much more easily prepared in that moment. He didn't leave the room when she told him to, though he did seem rather saddened by the fact this whole mess was caused by him. He hadn't known, true, but.. there had been signs he had ignored. It was often a mistake of his to be too much in a rush to get things done, caught up in the excitement of things – that was how Junior had come to be, why Yoakim and Ellie had caught him off guard, and why Walter and him had lasted so long despite the obvious flaws. To think, even now, he was still being as stupid as he was then.. It wasn't the most happiest of realizations. But, Kade could only spend a moment on that before snapping back to reality.

Ilya was crying in bed. He turned on the light switch and frowned as he saw the state of the room in all it's illuminated glory. This obviously had been a very common thing for a good deal of time.. No matter how much a pig someone could be, a mess like this didn't just develop in one evening. God, how did anyone let it get this bad? The question was easy to answer as it came to mind, so the man did little more than shoo it away before leaning over and taking a crumpled blouse in hand. A second of silence in mourning of the sad article of clothing, but he flapped it out and slung it over his shoulder in no time at all. “Honey, honey.. This room..” He tusked as he continued to move about the room, leaning over to pick up what he could quickly fix up, pushing in drawers that were left carelessly open, and otherwise trying to make the room seem less of a depressing place. “You know, I read that it's important to keep your place nice and tidy – a dirty room leads to a dirty mind!” He paused as he was laying out the clothes over a chair to be determined dirty or clean in a moment. That didn't come out right, did it? “Um, well, anyway, what I mean.. Is that you can't feel better when you're letting yourself stay in this.” He turned completely around and made a small face at the covers, “Or there. Come out, sweetie?” He took a breath and step towards the bed, pausing at it's foot, “Please?

Timeparadoxing~

Two rather large white rabbit could be seen hopping next to each other as they passed in front of Ilya's house. Oh, but those two white rabbits didn't have anything to do with a chariot being pulled or a little girl falling into a hole. No, those were perfectly normal rabbits without a fairy to enslave them. Indeed, this year, Chrysenthemum had decided that Rabbits were SO 3 years ago that it wasn't even funny. Instead of using her little furred slaves, she had upgraded to hummingbirds! Ah! Flight! That was and advancement! Not anyone could pride themselves of being able of flight! The Goddess Herself was probably too much of an idiot to achieve such a feat! Silly little fairies and Goddess who couldn't even fly! She was indubitably the best of the lot! So, ridding her valiant steed Hummingbird (that had a full set of armour, reins and all that stuff, ready to war!), she threw into Ilya's room, breaking the window in the process, a rather large bag full of pennies, coming to a total worth of 4.29$, with a letter attached to it.

Ilya, in this world, there are two kinds of person. Successful ones and the completely, utterly pathetic losers not worth the goo of the insect crushed beneath my gracious foot. Do you know which category you belong too, Ilya? Do you? Well, of you course you don’t, you’re too much of an inferior being to know anything about anything. You are neither! Yes, Ilya! You should be proud of yourself! You have created a whole new category of people I just want to spit on! Can you imagine that? ME[/]? Wasting my spit on someone like YOU? Unimaginable, is it not? And yes, there we are! How could you do that, pray tell? You had risen to the stars! You were able to create a child with the Tepes semence! Sure, not THEbest Tepes, but a Tepes nevertheless! AND YOU HAD TO GO AND LOOSE IT. What is wrong with you? I would never be able to understand it… Seriously, you get the power to acquire much of their fortunes and then, you just throw it away like an old dirty sock! Well, I am telling you, dear child, you are the one who should be thrown away like an old dirty sock! Yes! This is the category you belong too! The Dirty Socks! Ilya, the Dirty Sock!

Ah, I shall now leave you for something more interesting, like a common housefly. I wish you a horrible day, because that’s how you made mine. Don’t even bother coming into the woods, I don’t want to see you until you’ve gotten better.

-Kaleb Roman & Ilya De La Cruz-

Although Tess knew there was no way of leaving him there alone... Kaleb had grown used to it. It was horrible, but he could deal with it. It was why he was half expecting her to leave and say she'd be back for Kade later, or let him deal with her by himself. But then again there was that other half of him, hoping she'd stay. And she did... It was rather strange to have someone in the house, but in a nice way. The moment she sat down besides him, his expression lit up some. Well he wouldn't lie, it was a bit surprising, but much needed. Her touch really was surprising. Normally people were awkward in these situations, and avoided any kind of touch with someone who was mourning except a strained pat or hug. The Waldroup family was proving to be an exception to that little standard. Kaleb would've been grateful for the company alone, but her touch really did make him feel better. Tess... who was he kidding? He was still head over heels for her...

The redhead couldn't help but meet a very soft smile with hers. How could he not? Especially with the closeness. "I know... You're right." She was, no one died of sad news. Ilya may be close to it, but she would get through it. Or truck through it. It just seemed to take forever for it to actually happen. There hadn't been any signs of improvements, aside from getting her out of the room, but that had been shot the moment she saw the sleeper. Hey, he would've probably done the same... just a bit more drastic rather than evasive. "It just needs time..." he replied, keeping his eyes on her. Kaleb really looked exhausted, but he'd be fine. He probably would be up on his feet the moment Ilya gave signs of being better. Then he wouldn't be worrying over her, and then they would be able to move on. "Thanks Tess..." I miss you... It was so hard to get out of his chest... I'm sorry... But it wouldn't for a while. Now was a horrible time, and away from his mouth. Just stuck in the back of his mmind.

Surely in a few years, Ilya would appreciate this visit, and Kade's efforts, but right now she just wanted him gone. Especially when he turned on that light. Unfortunately her covers weren't the best at keeping light out, and it was easily felt, that change in atmosphere. Besides his reaction to the mess gave it away. She didn't give a damn though... the mess could eat her up for all she cared right now. "..." That wasn't a cute joke... or whatever it was supposed to be. Then he went on about how this wasn't helping. Ilya would disagree, this mess was what was keeping her sane! That and food... a lot of food... She had never understood why so many woman resorted to food, or so much food, for comfort... but she certainly figured it out when she started. Kaleb didn't chastise her about it, if only because he figured that was the only thing she could be besides crying in a corner. Ilya thought she had been past that though, but if Kade hadn't brought that piece over... Well she would've been in denial for longer...

"...No..." Why should she? Well at the first attempt she wasn't about to... Now that he added please? ******** no. Ilya did take a moment to try to even out her cries... it was getting a bit harder to breathe when you didn't stop crying. In that moment she noticed a shadow obstructing some light, and that feeling that someone was towering over you. He wouldn't leave would he? Apparently not, since it had been a few minutes since she had said she wouldn't come out... Damn it... After another moment of silence, the covers at her face moved a bit to show signs of her hair... which was a mess actually... Well the room was a mess, she was a mess, what did he expect? "...What?" she asked softly as the covers were moved enough to show her tearful eyes. She showed some life... it didn't mean she had to be better...
