``<3 fee growled unhappily, causing jmie to look from the clear, cloudless sky back to the battle occurring less than three yards away from her resting head. luckily for fee, she hadn't particularly noticed his lack of contribution- or so he thought.
he arched his furred back, and struck again just as lim lunged forwards.
meanwhile, a grunny tried to sneakily creep up behind jmie. she lashed out.

``<3 the labtech took the brunt of the damage, but it was not much. that was to be expected, given the odd attack that fee and lim had executed upon the being. fee glared at lim, but knew better than to argue with another warrior during a battle, but more specifically in front of jmie. cohesion, cooperation, and worship were her three biggest rules: cohesion as a unit, all inhabitants of the island must aim to follow jmieism and show a united front; cooperation with her orders; and worship, of their rightful ruler.

``<3 lim stepped aside as jmie beckoned him to do so. lim did so reluctantly, wishing he could partake in the battle and earn more glory in the eyes of his princess. he tried to shoo the nearby cats away so they wouldn't witness his shame.

``<3 fee and the labtech circled each other, each clearly thinking how to best finish the other off. fee wasn't as wounded as his opponent, and thought he could take advantage of that and the labtech's less agile movement to finish the battle quickly. [*~

``<3 several minutes later, no progress had been made on either side, despite the number of times each had attacked and defended. frankly, jmie was getting rather bored with the whole situation and waved her paw at fee, who instantly turned back into a normal sized cat instead of the behemoth he had enjoyed being. jmie glared at lim, who instantly sprang into action. this was his chance.
she took the time to look at how the other cats were faring, and the majority of them had successfully steered the grunnies towards the forest, most of them making their way into the dark, almost black grove of trees behind the glittering sapphire castle. she rang the bell on her neck and gave a slight nod towards the belltower.

``<3 lim took one look at the labtech, and couldn't stop himself from snorting in anticipation of another victory. he puffed up his chest proudly, but immediately refocused on the being in front of him. the labtech ignored fee's change and charged towards his last barrier. [*~

``<3 lim almost rolled his eyes at the latbtech's stupidity. at the very last moment, lim stepped aside, his front paw sticking out slightly, causing the labtech to trip and roll down the hill. jmie giggled, clapping in amusement at lim's easy success. fee had already been carried away in shame back into the castle, where he would watch the remaining battles in a lonely room in one of the spires. fitting punishment for an aspiring warrior, jmie thought.
as the labtech rolled down the hill, cats and a few grunnies moved out of its way (mostly the cats). a few took the opportunity to strike at the labtech or place rocks in its path to injure it further. unfortunately, it rolled over and killed another grunny. the labtech did not notice.
