Hotaru smiled at Serenity and Makoto.
"I should really go get ready for the ball. If you would excuse me your highness, Princess Makoto."
Hotaru curtsied and hurried away. She headed to her room and slowed when she heard voices ahead. She looked up and paled a bit. Bowing her head, she hoped to get past them without incident. She had, when she was younger, hoped that the princesses would accept her, especailly the Outers, but they constantly spurned her. At least she had spoken with the Moon Princess and Princess Makoto for a breif moment.

Luna slipped down the hallways looking for her charge. Her amber eyes scanned the room and heard the princesses voice. She hurried over and cleared her voice, having seen Hotaru depart.
"Serenity, I see that you've met Princess Hotaru. THat's good. But you really need to get ready for the ball."

Serenity smiled as she watched Princess Hotaru hurry down the hall. Upon hearing Luna she sighs. "Yes, Luna. We were just on our way back from the gardens, where we were speaking with Princess Hotaru. She's a very sweet girl." She half smiles, her thoughts then return to fact that she has to change her clothes now.

"She really does," Jupiter replied. She looked around, then down at Luna. "I was just bringing her in to change, Luna. Has anyone else arrived yet?"

"I believe the Princess Michiru and Haruka, plus some other princesses are arriving." Luna answered while walking besides Serenity.

Serenity's face lights up when she hears that the other Princesses from the outer planets will be arriving shortly. She had a million things running thru her mind that she couldn't help but ask as many questions. "Oh Luna, did you get a chance to see them? Is the Princess of Neptune as beautiful as I imagine her to be?...oh I can't wait to see what they are wearing...do you think they will like me?" She finally starts to sound excited about the days events.

Serenity looks a bit disappointed that the others aren't here yet, but she knows they will be here soon enough. "Oh well, let's hurry with this changing into our ball gowns. Then we can go down to the kitchens and see how the deserts are coming along." She giggles winking at Makoto. After walking down several hallways and climbing a couple dozen stairs, they reach the Princess' quarters.

Jupiter giggled as well and continued walking beside Serenity. As soon as they entered the Princess' quarters, Jupiter slid out of her uniform and into her emerald green gown. After slipping into her dress shoes, Jupiter walked over to a mirror to smooth her hair and make sure she looked nice. "Did you need any help, Serenity?"

Serenity looks at the dress her mother had picked out, it seemed to be a little complicated to put on. At least the Queen knew her daughter well enough to pick out something in a light shade of pink. Half-smiling she looks back over at Makoto and sees that she is already dressed in her signature emerald dress. "Yes, please. I don't know how I am supposed to get this thing on all by myself. I know I'll just end up in a huge mess."

Jupiter curtsied formally, a grin on her face. "That is exactly why I am here, Princess. To protect you from yourself." She then proceeded in helping Serenity into the dress, which indeed did prove a bit complicated.

Hotaru quickly walked down the hall way toward her room. She had to change, and she hoped that she wouldn't meet the outers before she was introduced to all of them and near the safety of Queen Serenity or Princess Serenity.

Serenity smiles after finally getting the dress on the proper way thanks to Makoto of course. Looking in the full size golden mirror she turns a couple different ways posing. The light pink of the satin fabric really suited her. Sliding her feet into the matching pink shoes she was ready. She secretly wonders if this dress is stunning enough to get Prince Endymion's attention, she blushes a light pink color before turning to face her friend."Well...what do you think?"

Makoto smiled. Seeing Serenity so happy could make anyone smile. "I think we need to get going before we're late to the ball." She took Serenity's wrist and led her to the door.

Endymion and the generals arrived at the Moon Palace and started looking around. It really was a nice place.
"I think the ballroom is this way," Jadeite said, taking the lead. Nephrite, Malachite, and Zoicite fell into their usual positions surrounding Endymion, and the group kept walking.
"Maybe we're early," Zoicite commented. "I don't really see anyone around."
"Or we're late," Malachite grumbled. "I knew we should've left earlier."
"Calm down, Malachite," Nephrite replied.
