It can be super hard to tell them apart though, it's amazing how well made bootlegs look at first...but then you touch them and they like...explode. They get you one way or another. stare

Yeah, and there is many out there these days. I rather pay extra for a brand new doll and heavy shipping directly from the company, or local authorized dealers to save on shipping then buying from places like ebay. Not everything on ebay is legitimate. I mean I seen so many bootlegged Sailor Moon stuff on ebay, its not even funny D:

Pale Melodies DVDs and Music are the worse. I seen soo many bootlegged PGSM DVDs its not even funny stare Really? It is notoriously hard to find legit PGSM subtitled DVDs and videos in general. I think it makes it harder since they've basically stopped. The last (official) performance I know of was back in 2005. Also there wasn't really a prevalent Western version of PGSM, independently done in English or otherwise. sweatdrop

Um. PGSM was never really licence outside of Japan. So any legit DVDs will be purely in Japanese. Any DVDs you see with English subtitles are bootlegged. Same with the Musicals.
You can still buy legit PGSM DVDs but they are all region 2 with no subs, and the prices range from 70$USD for one DVD

I guess that does make them bootleg in return though doesn't it? sweatdrop

If they obtain a licence to sub it, then no its not a bootlegged item. If they fan sub it and sell it without a licence from that company, then it is considered a bootlegged item since they have no authorization from the company. Back on dolls topic. I seen on an Italian site that they are releasing new Sailor Moon merchandise. Their dolls kinda remind me of Irwins second batch with the pudgy faces, but they don't look too shabby http://www.sailormoonworld.it/

Love their figurines heart We will do the same here if we get the licence renewed for NA. If that happens, I am buying the cosplay items first then plushies, then dolls...

If the NA license is ever renewed I really hope they start making plushies and dolls and stuff again, mine show the signs of childhood all over them. sweatdrop It would also be cool for kids if they made talking dolls or something with improved voice actors from the original dub. We can all dream anyway. heart

I was putting away my Sailor Moon alarm clock. I had to spend half hour cleaning out my tub filled with moonie stuff. My poor dolls hair was all tangled, so I had to brush all their hairs >< I notice their faces turning orange looking from the vinyl aging and they had stains on their legs. I scrubbed the best I can do with Magic Eraser. My plushies all need to be washed.. Any dolls shall remain in their box and never to be opened..
