Why: Let me go find the post I made in another Gaia thread, -chuckles- I'm sure at least a few of you here have read it, but for those of you who haven't, enjoy. ^^

Being the huge fan of the series that I am, I must say that Kyo and Yuki both have a certain uniqueness about them that allow for fabulous chemistry... even between themselves.

When I first recieved the boxed set of Fruits Basket as a present, my inital thought towards Yuki was he was very, very feminine looking. Yet it was odd; I looked back and forth between him and Kyo, ultimately in an attempt to "pair" one of the lead males with Miss Honda (even though I knew nothing about the series, the image of those three with the basket on the back made me think there was at least a hint of romance)... despite the fact I couldn't shake Yuki's pretty boy appearance, I kept being drawn to his eyes - those violet, vivid eyes that seem to speak so much through every episode.

By the end of the series, I had realized why I was drawn to Yuki's eyes so much; every close-up, each time he looked at Tohru... I could empathise with him, understand what it was like to find someone who accepted you for the true person you are, who could see through a lonely, fake smile. The scene where he admits he had never even laughed infront of his parents reflected his prim and proper persona, but also revealed a certain weakness that I find admirable. His devotion in general is also apparent throughout all 26 episodes, as well. I relate to his past, personality and story almost entirely (almost to the point it frightens me), even though I obviously have not experienced everything he had. He took everything seriously... like when he asked about badminton's rules, only to learn there weren't any. I tend to be like that too.

So yes, Yuki is my favorite character in the anime, as well as the manga. His timid nature combined with his reserved and mature outlook on life just appeals to me more than the rambuncious side of Kyo. But then, maybe I'm just biased naturally since I was born under the Year of the Rat, myself. ^^;

But I guess I can't hide the fact I also found myself liking his dubbed voice. XD

Favorite Book: Chronicles of Narnia, anything by Shakespeare or Euripides. <3
Favorite Food: I don't care much for eating (though I must admit I love Italian and Chinese cuisine) ... but I adore baking sweets for my fiance and family. <33

So yes, that's me in a nut shell. Aside from the questionare, I should also admit I'm in my third year of college, studying Accounting. I'm a perfectionist who loves surprising people I love with pressies, yet I am a bit compulsive at times. I also love to study new things, especially anything business or medicine oriented, and tend to be very artistic (both in drawing and theatre). I'll be getting married the summer I graduate to my best friend - something I'm very proud of. <33

I can't wait to post more in this lovely guild's forums... I shall do such once the weekend rolls around, hehe. <3
