She looked from the woman to the man. "What do you think you're doing pointing that thing at my friend! Are you even FROM here? You can get arrested for doing something like that! What have we done to you?" she turned back to the woman and said in a hot tone. "I've told you to dump him! He won't even walk you home from work. Gods, even my BOSS walks me home at nights because he won't let me go out. If he hadn't been working already he'd have walked to work tonight! Strangely enough, I wasn't even ATTACKED by a Vamp, I was attacked by a man with a GUN!" she hoped to herself she hadn't gotten carried away. "I'm sorry Laura...I shouldn't have said anything bad about Jay...I just.don't think its right that he puts your life in danger like that..."

Irked, though still elated to see Issilia rescue her from the obvious vampire hunter, Min sagged against the other vampire in relief. "I know Stephanie, I know. But I love him so and he promised me he wouldn't be late again!"
Min's exclamation was accompanied by more sobbing as she ducked her head and sniffled thrice, but in doing so she conversed telepahthically with Issilia.
"I do believe I owe you one Issilia, come to me later and I will of course reward you."
Raising her tear-drenched face back onto the man, Min's lower lip began to quiver for added effect as she turned back towards Issilia. "I want to go home now. I'm so tired Stephanie, and so scared."

Although slightly shocked by the voice in her mind, she hid a smile. "Never a problem, I'm sure would would have done the same for me." suddenly, she paused. She had called her Stephanie. And he knew her name was Issilia...she thought quickly and then saddened her face.
"Laura...when you fell...did you hit your head? It's me, Issilia, Gods, Steph's been dead for years. You could always tell us apart." she looked angrily at the man.
"You watch it Sir! If she hit her head falling cause of you, I'll sue! She's like a sister to me, you don't go doing that to the people I care about!"

The man retracted his gun into the confines of his cloak. He stared down at them with his cold, dark eyes. He was studying them carefully. The girl could be lying about the entire thing. They both could be lying to throw him off guard. But now wasn't the time. He had made his presence known just by being out in the open and showing his weapon. Now it was only a matter of time before he himself was hunted. He'd have to move quickly and get to know the city well before acting again.
"Hmm...I'll be seeing you both again...I can feel it..." he said in a long, icy tone. The hunter walked off without looking back. He would have to find a mechanic, a gas station, and a place to stay soon, or he would have to stay up all night to try to stay alive.

She glared angrily at him. "Good Night to you Sir" She turned back to the Vampire and sighed. "Here, come and we'll get you a cab home. That way you won't have to worry about men like him."

With of look of utter indifference Min watched as the lone hunter stalked off, her fangs jutting forward once more so as to where the sharpened tips rested against her lower lip. A menacing hiss erupted from her throat as soon as the man was clearly out of sight.
"They're getting bolder Issilia. Mayhap you should come with me and speak with Dimitri. As for the cab ride home, I must decline but thank you."
Turning her attention for the first time upon Issilia, she flashed her a feral grin before once more tucking her hands into her pockets and walking off.
Well there went her meal for the evening, but Min knew full well there were others out there far more weaker than this man. Soon she'd have a writhing mortal in her grasp, his blood spilling freely from a severed artery; and then he or she for that matter, would live no more.

The dark man found an old abandoned church. He didn't like staying in such places, but it would have to do. He pushed open the large double doors and entered. Some holy water was still there, not all of it had evaporated yet due to lack of sun. He walked on down the center aisle towards the altar. It had been damaged a bit, but the cross was still there. He hopped ontop of it and looked around. 'I think I just dodged a bullet back there. But I still got snagged. They know I'm here now. This may become a problem,' he thought.

As Issilia counted out she sighed. Dimitri? Who was Dimitri? Who was the woman?
"Are you ready child?" Mr. George called, as he was putting on his coat.
"Yes," she smiled. "Let's go"
They walked down the deserted streets as they reached a large abandoned Church. Across the street was another Large Bulding. Filled with apartments.
"This is good." she said kindly. "Thank you for walking me this far."
"I'm sorry I can't walk you to your door like usual dear, but I really must be getting home. My wife..." she smiled and cut him off.
"Don't worry, your wife is ill and needs tending too. Besides, the Church frightens the Vampires, and the Apartment Building has some of the best security. It's one of the safest places in town. A Vamp would be insane to try to get in here. Thank you for walking me this far though. It's greatly appreciated."
"Never a problem dear, your Da would've been angry if I didn't"

The Hunter was standing ontop of the tallest spire of the church. He watched the old man and Issilia. There was a strong wind so high up, it made his cloak whip around him and flutter about along with his hair. "She has to be one of them. I know there are those that are allergic to the sun. But still. She has a weird vibe about her. I'll have to investigate more thoroughly," he thought.

She waved goodbye to the older man and paused for a moment. She enhaled the fresh night air and sighed. "I'm alone again. This sucks..." she felt uneasy and lonely. Who was Dimitri and the other Woman? How did they know her name...? Would they come after her for hiding and pretending to be normal? Would they know what she had been doing all this time? She sighed and looked up to the stars then back down at her feet. Absently she waited for the light to change to green before slowly making her way across the street. "If only I had some company..." she sighed again. "Maybe I'll watch Phantom of the Opera..."

"Should I wait until she is asleep or until she leaves her home?" he asked himself in his head as he swung down to the front most spire.

She sighed and unlocked the several locks and panels to the first couple doors, and then trudged her 7 flights of stairs to the top floor. She unlocked the number lock and the key lock and walked in to the cold, dark apartment.
"I'm home Dad..." she muttered to herself, dropping her purse, gently taking off her shoes and hanging her jacket. Turning on the light she looked in to the first of two rooms. Her Fathers old room. It was plain, forest green and royal blue, the bedsheets all made perfectly, not a spect of dust anywhere. The walls we're lined with photo's. Some of himself graduating from Medical School, another his original Medical Certificate. The rest were picture of her and himself. Smiling and staring at the stars, at a picture gallery, in their home. Outside on a rainy day... she missed those times. A top was a large Urn with a Cross on it. There held his ashes. She had fufilled his promise to cremate him and place his Urn above his bed, around the pictures and moments that had been the happiest.

It was of course not long before Min found her next victim, an 80 year women who was near death herself. Though Min of course would have prefered much younger blood, still beggers couldn't be choosers in this day and age.
Licking droplets of blood from the corner of her lips, she smiled before making her way back to the base where she figured Dimitri would be looking for her.
And of course Min was right, for no sooner had she stepped onto the grounds did the intercoms overhead flicker on and in a mono-tone issued the following order.
Minvera, report to Dimitri's office. And with a crackle the transmission ended leaving Min to wander the near deserted streets towards New York's tallest building since the Twin Towers had been destroyed; the Empire State Building.
Making her way into the desolate lobby reaking of death and decay, Min instinctively headed towards the stairs yet changed her mind and instead veered in the direction of the only two working elevators. No sooner had Min punched the button leading to Dimitri's floor, did the elevator shift into action sending the machine flying two stories at a time.
Reaching Dimitri's floor in no time, Min worked briefly at her appearance; though she of course hadn't seen what she looked like in a very long time, she still could picture herself.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- Dimitri knew the exact instance when Min walked into his office, he always knew when Min entered a room due to the erotic vibe she brought.
"Hello, Min. Please sit and report." Dimitri was as always seated behind the massive alabaster desk, his back to the main room where Min stood directly in the middle carrying on with her nightly report.
Staring out the massive wall-to-wall window, Dimitri had either of his elbows placed upon the chair's arms, his fingers steepled, and his chin resting upon the knuckles as he watched his city. So quiet...just the way he liked it.

The Hunter began swinging around the spire very quickly before flinging himself ontop of the apartment building. He landed with a slight thud and rolled a bit to soften the blow. "It'll be awhile, but I'll find her room. Vampires usually have unique vibe to them," he thought before silently dropping down to the first balcony and peering into the window.
There was someone watching TV, not her. He jumped to the next balcony. He listened for any signs of movement. There was some. He nodded before leaning against the brick wall to wait until she was asleep.

The hunter heard something like a scream far off somewhere. He leaped onto the fire escape stairs and rushed down then leaped onto the street when he was closer to the ground. He raced down the street towards where the scream was. After by passing a few alleys he came across a bloody one. The dark man walked towards the body of an old woman. She had been bitten badly, drained of her essence. The hunter blew off her head with a quick shot from his shot gun with a normal shell at close-range to make sure she didn't transform. Her dried up brains splattered against the ground, pieces of bone had dug themselves into the ground or layed scattered across the ground. Flesh and hair all around the torso of the body. Little holes lay where he had shot the shell.
The hunter kneeled down to the body, smelled her and looked her over carefully. "She...has a bit of the same smell as that other woman. So she was one after all. Then next time I see her, I'll kill her on the spot!" he muttered before rising straight up and headed back for the old church.
