It's true!
Shander's an angry pissy little spitfire, but he's hiding uncertainty and vulnerabilities. He has the same, moment of intense betrayal by someone close to him in his past that's helped shape him, and he's also got scars to prove it, same as silas.
They are VERY similar.

Oohoo that's true. o_o Though Shander seems a lot more violent than Silas, and more..outbursty? Like he'd be more likely to pounce/attack others quickly and more frequently. XD

He used to be alot more, shy and quiet, but recently I feel his anger and frustration at his life falling about around him, I feel it more than his sadness so that's where he's going.
I doubt the characters ARE REALLY that similar because two different people created them independent of eachother, but the CIRCUMSTANCES are similar, and I found that eerie.
I WILL ADMIT when I first started noticing how close it was with the, outlayer, vulnerable inside, bad betrayal, scars, I was really disappointed. "Damn, I don't want someone similar to my character!"
But in the end it's impossible for them to truly be the same, and I liek Silas too much anyway.
B: Ryu and my jolteon can bang. Though, Rynmerith IS the guy responsible for ruining shander's life.

lol Aefes is still open, but if you'd rather not get into
a possible quarrel between Aefes & Lumi than Aret is open
as well. I still need to get him off drugs though, he's a horrible

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't like having similar characters either, but I do like Shander.
Silas goes back and forth between backing down and quietly and stubbornly fighting back, but it's more subtle and stealthy than what Shander seems to do. Except when he's fist fighting, which has toned down a lot since I first made him. He's starting to mellow out more but..howtoputit. He's like a snake? DX Quiet but quick to strike, unless he's around Dendera whothrowseverythingoff. XD OTL But he does randomly lash out at times too. fdjskl.
Rynmerith is interesting too. o.o I just got done reading his profile.

xD when I first made shander, the easiest way to describe him was that he was lonely, but he was scared of reaching out too far encase he got bit again. That's his core character. Not so snakeish, more, nervous.
Gijinkas Shander is CONSIDERABLY more angry than normal shander. I figured it'd be an interesting side of him to explore.
Though Ryu and Shander always end up as a couple, I'm finding it hard to see them gettign there in this specific setting, just because Shander's so, ANGRY I don't know how Ryu's gonna get in.
@_@ and I hope Ryn turns out to be a likable character; he's kind of a sociopath, so we'll see how this goes. I just need to draw him, all yellow is hard to work with.
