"Speaking of cute... have you seen this one boy? Kenji Tsurimi?" Hikari smiled dreamily, "I saw him this morning and he's so freaking cute! Now I have a massive crush on him... heh..." She made the eyes of the caricature watery and with lumpy looking lashes on wrinkly lids. Then she began working on the lopsided grin. "Do you think I should leave this anonymously in the teacher's desk? He doesn't know I can draw yet..."

"Kenji Tsurimi?" Juri thought a moment. "Oh...him." She smiled at the way Hikari was acting. "So you like him, hm? I have to say that he does have good looks. But does he have the brains to back it up?" She absolutely hated any guy that wasn't smart enough to have a decent conversation with her. Guys were idiots like that. "Oh don't..." she laughed softly. "He really is nice."

She sat at her dressing table in no real rush to race to the school. She had first period free, as usual. With the amount of money her fatehr iinvested into her schools, she was almost guaranteed her classes to be to her liking. Of course, it hardly seemed fair to the more "under priveleged" students but there were times she did not care. She sat a little longer, just staring at her reflection in her mirror. She was only sixteen but already she was a stunning young woman. She had incredibly long lavender coloured hair and round, expressive amber orbs for eyes. Because of her parents, her entire wardrobe consisted exclusively of desinger labels and the latest fashions. Mostly, she was envied by the female body. She was also disliked by people she deemed lesser. However, despite her wealth and good looks, Tori Ichiro was relatively miserable. She had hoped that the school she was currently enrolled at would be different but it was like all the rest. She had already been there for one year. " Alas... life is cruel to someone such as I!" she sighed, resting her chin on her open palm. She sat and looked rather contemplative for a few moments more. It was after that that she decided to dress and arrive at the school early to see her friends and some of the new arrivals. ~*~ Twenty minutes later, Tori had reached the main gates of the school building and headed inside at a leisurely pace. She wanted to take in some sunshine before she was cooped up in the school for the entire day. She ahd chosen the perfect outfit for the day and for the weather: a rather simple looking sundress that accentuated her slender form and her curves. It was snug around her waist and chest but flowed out at the waist. The upper portion of the dress was fashioned like a halter top and was held up by a tight bow hidden behind Tori's long hair. On her feet she wore a pair a five inch high heels, making her taller than she actually was. On her way into the building she caught a few stares and smiled adorably; Tori adored attention from anyone and everyone. She took after her mother quite a bit in that respect. " Good morning!" she called in a sing-song voice as she waved slightly to a few random people, trying her best not to snub them.

SachiFujiiro Sachi smiled, hardly offended by his comment. "Toshi needed a walk and loves to walk in the morning," She gestured towards the dog who dashed in and out through the boy's legs. Giggling, she looked back to him, "That's Toshi. By the way..." Seeing as he had called her a first year, she assumed that he was older and knew the campus better than her, "Do you know where the archery range is?" Brushing back her hair, she studied him closely as she always did with every stranger she talked to which, needless to say, was a lot. "Yea. The archery range is right behind the gym. Come on, I was just about to head over there." he said as he started walking towards the gym. They walked around the school until they came to the back. The gym was right behind the school and took up most of the land. Kiyoshi walked into the gym with the girl right behind him. After two minutes they reached the back of the gym. "Here's the archery range, but I don't think you'll have much time to practice considering first class is about to start." he said as he looked at his watch.

"Smart? He's here on a scholarship! I applied for the same one and I never got it..." Hikari shook her head, "His IQ must be off the charts by now... I mean, I study like hell and all, but he studies so much better... And he's so cute!" Her eyes seemed to mist off into dream land for a few moments, but it quickly faded off. "He doesn't even notice me though, and he's older than me by two years. Do you think I stand a chance against all the other girls?"

Sachi smiled gratefully at the boy. "That's alright. Better than no practice at all," She went to the counter for bow and arrow rentals. She asked for one bow and a quiver of arrows which contained five arrows. Locking the arrow into the bow, then aimed. Letting go, the arrow found it's way to the red center. Smiling, she stretched quickly. "I haven't practiced in a while but I guess it hasn't affected me yet," Handing the bow to Kiyoshi, she wondered if he was as good as martial arts as in archery.

"You have as good a chance as any other girl. You're pretty, and how young or old a girl would have to be for him to date is his own preference." She shook her head. "Besides, most girls in the higher grades are so...selfish and snobbish. He'd definitely go for you." She smiled. "That is, if he doesn't already have a girlfriend."

"Heh... that last thought just made me brain dead. But you're right, those older girls are real--" The bell drowned out what she was about to say, which was just as well. It probably needed a bell to drown it out. She watched as the english teacher entered the room carrying a black brief case and a laptop computer. He gave the usual beginning of the semester lectures and such. Those were announcements she could sleep though.

"Hey Tori! C'mere!" called out one of Tori's "close" friends, Ritsuko. The lavender haired beauty turned on one of her expensive heels and waved to her friend before joining the cluster of girls that were just as wealthy and priveleged as Tori.
"Good morning," Tori said happily and received similar greetings in response.
"Wanna ehad to the gym with us? I heard that the boys are playing soccer outside today," Ritsuko said, grinning.
"Sounds fun," Tori nodded, consenting to the activity. Watching the guys, especially the older ones, was a hobby for Tori and her friends. They were the types of girls who could have whatever guy they wanted when they wanted him. Of course, that life style was starting to grow boring for Tori. She wanted to find someone who wanted her for who she was. 'Fat chance,' she thought, frowning lightly.
While the other girls talked about what they had done before school had started, Tori walked in silence, just letting her mind wander. She barely noticed when they pushed through the gym doors and headed towards the field. She stopped just outside the doors and leaned back against the wall of the building while her group of loud friends headed for the bleachers. Of course there was a first period gym class and it always proved to be entertaining but Tori just wanted to hang back and watch from a distance for once.

"Huh...a project mentioned on the first day of the semester?" Juri sighed and tapped her nose with her pencil. She perked up when the teacher announced that group projects were an option. "That's interesting. How about it Hikari?" she whispered to the girl in front of her. "It sounds fun. We could do a video project together."

Sachi had left Kiyoshi at the archery range, seeing as he was intently working on his aim. She said aloud to the puppy beside her, "Wanna run for it? Otherwise we'll be late," She giggled then dashed off in a sprint watching her puppy gain on her. Arriving at her classroom panting, she walked in and plopped on her seat, looking beside her to see the seat still empty. "Aww," She complained softly to the puppy that was panting as well. "Maybe he'll be late on the first day?" She shrugged half-heartedly.

"Hmm... what? Oh, yeah! That's great!" Hikari was plainly still thinking about Kenji, but Juri's voice woke her from the day dream. She jumped up, looked around at the silent students and the stern teacher, "I mean I'm, er, really excited about the project..." She added lamely before she sat down, red faced with embarrasment. "Oops... there goes my reputation with this teacher..."

Juri sweatdropped. "Don't worry about it," she said quietly as the teacher went back to lecturing. "It doesn't really matter. As long as you get a good grade in the class. Which will be easy for you." She laughed softly as she took notes on the lecture. "Still thinking about Kenji?" she whispered. "Why not talk to him during lunch?"

"I may be your good luck charm, but we good luck charms don't bring ourselves good luck very well." She whispered over her shoulder, "You know I can't make friends for hell, you're my only friend." Hikari made a funny face that was a perfect imitation of the history teacher's mousey leer, then checked her expression in a pocket mirror, matching it with her caricature.

"You have to keep trying." Juri smiled at her, then shook her head at the girl's funny face. "You have the potential of making more friends. You're just too shy." Juri went back to scribbling in her notebook, making a mini cartoon of Hikari following Kenji whereever he went. She laughed softly. "You also have the potential of getting a boyfriend. You're too shy for that too."
