Alex heard all this screaming from outside and was seriously getting annoyed she was about to walk and tell them to shut up but then she stopped because she saw a glowing thing above her head she looked up and saw a glowing caduceus above her head " holy gods i just got claimed by hermes!" Alex yelled everone stared at her but she didnt care she was excited hermes was her favorite god and this cabin reminded her of a happy cool family she was really happy

Petria looked around the cabin she'd been assigned temporarily as a new campee. "So this is Mercury's Cabin? What a pigsty. It looks even filthier than the petting zoo for goats, expect this place smells like Pizza. Well until mom or dad figures out I'm here I'll be spending all day with Koris," she said sitting against a wall and pulling out a golden dice cube. She rolled it over in her hand and it transformed into a shining golden knife with the Roman numerals, I, II,III, IV, V, and VI on the blade. She tilted it As if rolling it and it turned back into a dice cube. Looking around there didn't seem to be too many people around so she went through a neighboring backpack and pulled out an IPod, cell phone and other assorted electronics. She immediately cracked them open and began taking out every bit of metal she could salvage from the other kid's belongings. Using the scrap she fashioned a inch tall statue of Jupiter with the minor exception that he was missing his trademark thunderbolt. Going through another kids electronics she fashioned a small electro magnetic motor and attached it to mini Jupiter's legs as well as giving him a lighting bolt or two. Almost immediately the miniature automaton sped off towards the middle of the floor, attacking a misplaced tissue and piece of pepperoni.
She giggled at the miniature's actions, before feeling horrible. Unfle Grey would've loved that. Except he probably would've tried to make a twelve foot tall one with a Telsa coil jammed up it's rear end. It had been two years since that Ventus had killed her uncle, and almost 6 full years since her mortal guardians had died. She put her head in her hands and felt like crying, sure any girl would have, but she was a different story. Never quit, don't be a pansy, you can do it. Everything her "parents" had said to her as a kid. She cursed the fact that she didn't know which was her mortal parent. They'd never had a chance to tell. Then surviving Lupa's Wolf House Test... It was horrifying, Abd yet she still hadn't been claimed. So that's why she'd come here.
"The centaur will have answers," Lupa had told her before throwing her out towards Long Island. No prep, no money, just a powerful Roman demigod who didn't know her parent. So who's to say the Greek gods will even notice their Romanesque child? Who knows?

Mel bobbed her head to the music, humming along slightly. She ignored the mess around her, thinking instead of the last few weeks. She still had yet to know her parent's name. Chuck was going to tell her, but he had died mid-sentence. Poor, poor Chuck. He was the one of the few people she decided was her friend. And the sad fact was, he wasn't even human.
Grumbling, Mel turned the music up. Stupid loud teenagers.

Mel raised a single eyebrow at the girl eyeing her ipod. What, couldn't she be left alone for a minute? With an irritated sigh, she turned off the AC/DC blaring in her ears and spoke, "If you want to steal something that badly, you don't stare at whatever you want to steal. It gives you away."

Mel gave her a rather odd look that seemed to say I-wasn't-too-worried-in-the-first-place-punk-like-you-can-steal-from-me-and-why-would-I-care-what-your-name-was. She had a very expressive face. With a scoff, she said, "You're right, I don't care. So stop bothering me, okay?"

Mel's ice cold glare didn't cease, "I'm sorry, perhaps you didn't hear me correctly," she said in a calm, sharp voice, "Stop. Talking. To. Me. Understand, numbskull?"

The psychotic little voice in her head was raging, and without anything to sidetrack it -like music, fighting, or most other activities- it was diffucult to ignore. With a growl, she covered her ears, muttering at it to shut up.

(Don't take any offense from Mel, okay? She's just grumpy like that. Nothing personal.)

Mel was barely listening anymore. She was clutching her head in her hands, as if battling a force inside her mind. Which she was, to be honest. The little voice was laughing maniacally, and she was struggling not to follow it's lead.
"Get out....get out...." she muttered to it. Maybe this was the reason every other family who took her in sent her to a therapist.
