I can understand why parents are worried but there are other sites out there that can be just as obscene or dangerous at times. For the obsceneness times, its due to the environment the person who is saying the obscenity grew up in, NOT the site. As for the dangers....just dont give out personal info and there should be no danger. LONG LIVE GAIA!

Obviously gaia's not going to be banned- they really have no proper reason to have it shut down. Petitions don't work unless they have actual reason to them, other than "I don't like it". And gaia is pg13. You guys are too easily frightened, and those bitches need to suck it up and learn how to raise their own kids.

Actually, if you read the actual petition, you'd see that they're basically just twisting Gaia's words to make the company sound evil and spewing complete bullshit that is easily disproved.
Any judge without a pre-existing bias against Gaia would laugh in these peoples' faces, tell them to take their pretty little petition elsewhere, and Gaia would just get a good laugh out of it.
Gaia Online will not be banned.
The site's in no danger.

I think that this site is gonna stay. But, without knowing this, some kids will continue all the bad stuff, giving our parents a right for banning the site.

ll iVaxon ll OK people, this is my opinion... the only thing i can see parents having a problem with is Gaia Cash... think about it... parents dont like the fact that kids would spend their money on some online thing, so they decide to be rid of it... i dont think tthis is the answer. but some thing does need to be done about how things are set up... kids need to learn how to spend their money logically... not blowing it on everything and anything... but my lil sib does this stupid Club penguin crap when you have to buy cards too are they putting a petition on that too its like gaia but kid friendly and your penguins all the time >.<

nor do i exactly hate it
But gaia is the only website that my very dear friend goes on most of the time, so i definitely would not like gaia to be shut down

That petition is pathetic!
Their reasons are all little personal hates that nobody else cares about, and it has 4chan written all over it.
There's less than a 1% chance of them actually managing to shut gaia down or change it for them, but knowing how retarded the world can be, it might actually work and I'll join this anyway.
They claim gaia is the worst game ever, when it's not even a game, it's more of a social networking site. If they can shut gaia down because there's a chance of ******, they might as well shut the whole internet down.

I mean hell most of the kids who are on here are under the age limit and shouldn't be on here anyways... It's these same douchebag parents who have banned some of the greatest litterarary pieces from school reading lists and libraries from across the nation

I dont think parents can ban gaia from all money gaia is getting parents would have sue them for something very bad to ban offline -.- anyway the one girl on page one said something about how gaia is not as bad facebook or myspace she right i play gaia for four years never got verius from it but facebook less then day ... myspace less then hour -.- and gaia rocks ok gaia help me unwide atfer a day of bullcrap makes me feel human again o.- -.o oh yea!!!! heart

Ok... Here's what flawwed about parents thinking that banning Gaia is gonna solve whatever problem they are having with their children... IT'S NOT!!! They are still gonna do whatever it is they are doing!!! It could be worse... ever seen IMVU??? OMG
Now, here's why I am very opposed to this alleged ban on Gaia. Not only am I a long-standing member (yeah, '08 for me is long-standing), but I am also a Real Life parent of another Gaia member (demonicc). My son is who got me on Gaia in the first place. And I thank him all the time! If they ban Gaia, I think that will really suck!

o .o maby its the gaia haterz and gaia haterz parents or something and if gaia does go there will be other online sights
ex: meez,imvu,clubpenguin....
if u wanna keep on playing with ur online friends u could make one of those just in case gaia does get banned o .o
gaia is great ~n~ all and i would hate to see it go...this was the one sight i would be on 24/7.
