Sliding in the car, Neal excitedly chatted about all the exhibits he wanted to see. He was raised in a well-off family, so he'd never actually been to a museum. At his age, you'd think he'd at least been to one, but that just wasn't the case. Looking at Reid, who was driving seriously, as he always did, he smiled. "Thanks for going with me to the museum. It wouldn't be as fun alone."

Reid was average, not rich but not poor either, in the middle. He stayed focused on the road then heard Neal say something to him. Eyes looking at him from the corner he gave a small smile. "No problem, think nothing of it." His gaze returning to the road, they arrived at the museum within half an hour. "Here we are."

Neal quickly opened the car door and hopped out the car like a little kid. Running around the vehicle to the driver's door, he jerked Reid out of the car, locked the door, and rushed inside while still holding Reid's hand, having forgotten whose hand it was. Well, almost. "Come on, come on, let's go!!" When they got inside and looked at the first few exhibits: the Egyptians, the dinosaurs, the Japanese culture (which Neal took mental notes from), he noticed people looking at the duo strangely. Suddenly, he realized what the warm sensation on the palm of his right hand was. Looking down, he saw that he was still holding Reid's hand, and blushed furiously. What the hell? Why am I blushing? he thought, slapping himself in his head. Embarrased, he apologized to the older male.

Practically getting dragged around the entire time, Reid also took notice of the stares they received from the people around them. Personally, it didn't bother Reid but he wondered if he should've told Neal or not. But the younger detective finally realized it and released his hand from his. Having caught the blush, Reid thought he was seeing things but pushed the thought aside, saying he forgave Neal.

((If you don't know the answer, I could PM you XP but I'm pretty sure you know it.))
After the little predicament, Neal's child-like attitude reappeared quickly. At the end of the last hallway, they went into a huge spacious room, which was the mystery exhibit. All sorts of things pertaining mystery were in the exhibit, such as limited-edition Sherlock Holmes novels, to the outfit that numerous big time detectives had wore during difficult cases. There was even a riddle book that people could leaf through, and of course Neal had to try it. He solved the first 32 easily enough, but then he came upon one that he found a little difficult. "Hey, Reid come help me with this riddle."
The riddle appeared as the following:
"A cowboy rode his horse into town of Friday. Three days later, he left town on Friday. How did he do it?"

[Lol I know the answer.]
Chuckling, he continued to follow the inner child of Neal before him. Reid had browsed a few pages in the Sherlock Holmes novels then put them back before continuing on through the exhibit. A bit familiar with the stuff. being a detective himself then he heard Neal ask him to help him with a riddle. Looking from over his shoulder, he read the riddle a few times, till he finally got the answer. "The horse's name is Friday."

Re-reading the riddle, he saw that Reid was right. "Oh! I get it now!" Turning, he smiled. "Well, it's only natural for a world-famous detective, huh?" After seeing all there was left to see, Neal asked his partner if he was ready to leave.

[Lol.]
Rolling his eyes as Neal brought up of being a world famous detective, he then just shrugged his shoulders. There would be moments of fame and whatnot but it just never really excited the man. After seeing whatever was left in the museum, he gave a nod, already rummaging in his pocket for the car keys.

((Sorry about the late posts. I'm watching Kuroshitsuji so I easily get distracted.... sweatdrop ))
As they were headed toward the front of the building, a Crash! erupted through the walls, and the lights went out. Neal's detective side kicked in, so he stood still and listened. In his coat pocket there was a mini flashlight (always prepared). He fished it out, and began investigating towards where the sound originated. "I'll be right back." he called out to his partner, dashing silently among the shiny marble walls. Luckily, they were pratically the only ones in there, seeing that the museum was about to close for break hours. On he crept towards the Feudal Japan exhibit, where the sound had came from. Quickly he assesed the situation, assuming it was a robbery. Too caught up in his thoughts, he didn't notice the sound of a person behind him. When he finally realized something wasn't right, it was too late. He spun around, only to have his nose handkerchiefed, and a sickly sent wafted up his nose. Then, everything went dark.

[Lol s'ok.]
Reid went ahead and became alert as well, ears listening intently around him and eyes able to make out shadows and outlines in the dark but he still went ahead and pulled out his own mini flashlight. "Shouldn't we stick together Neal, hey wai-ugh." His partner was already gone by the time he turned his head around. Looking around, he then caught a glimpse of him walking around a corner, going ahead and following him. About to call his name, he saw someone other than Neal, quickly covering his flashlight to not give his position away. Able to make out some shadows thanks to some windows within the room, he saw one figure sneak up behind the other and placed something in their hand against the others face. The victim had long hair pulled in a pony tail that was all too familiar to Reid. Crimson eyes flashed before turning his light off then silently walking up behind the stranger. His voice was deep and dark. "What do you think you're doing?"

((Playing the criminal here..))
The culprit had finally got what he had wanted. His accomplices had succesfully stolen Saigo Takamori's samurai armor, and now he was doing what was routine. Checking to make sure none would notice. What he hadn't anticipated was cops, but he got the one with the cute face and pretty hair. He knew he was a cop, because who else carries around a mini flashlight and goes investigating but cops?"Sorry darling, but you'll make a nice pet for me." he said, chuckling darkly as he slipped a pill into the unconscious man's mouth, coaxing his throat to swallow it. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the other one until he crept up behind him. Turning around, he came face to face with........

Reid didn't even wait for him to come face to face with him, quickly delivering a knee blow into the man's stomach followed by an elbow thrust up at his chin. The man should've fell down and also be lucky Reid hadn't broke any of his ribs or his jaw because he could've if he wanted to. "I suggest you stand down, you're not going to win this fight." The detective warned as his sharp eyes cut through the darkness toward the thief.

...with a knee to the stomach that literally knocked the breath out of him. He dropped the other cop just to be hit in the chin. Stumbling, he cursed and hit the ground. Looking at his attacker, the red eyes gleamed at him like daggers. Quickly, he held up his walkie talkie to signal it was time to go. He had the others stationed around close enough to see him hold it up, so when the signal was shown, the drapes would go down in a split second over the window, leaving absolute darkness. Luckily, he knew his way around, so he dragged himself to the aid of his comrades, who helped him up. F**k the cop, he thought. I've gotten what I've wanted. "Let's move out!" Suddenly, the floor was swept open, and they landed in the escape vehicle, along with the prize. "Sayonara beautiful," he said sadly. The lights were programmed to come back on when the car left. So they flickered back on.

Cursing under his breath as his light source was covered with drapes, he pulled out his light again but the thief had already escaped. He didn't have his gun which made him angrier. The detective didn't like getting beaten at his own game but he would have to let this one go since Neal was in danger this time. As the lights came back on, he put his light out and away before kneeling down to his partner, lifting him in one arm. "Hey, wake up."

Groggily, Neal woke up to the sound of Reid's deep, bass voice. "Eh? What happened?" All he remembered was investigating, and being hit in the head with a blunt object. He slowly tried to sit up, but then laid back down on his partner's arm after a pain shot down his lower abdomen. "Ouch...... Oi, did you catch them?"
