Why did Stephen not wish for anyone to know of his return? He was the prince afterall. He was welcome...wasn't he? She worried that if Stephen was possibly not welcome in the castle, then why had Maliborne ordered the General to bring her here. Was it possible she was being kept prisoner without knowledge of it? Was she just as much prisoner here as she would be in the dungeons? The thought scared her. Espeacially so close to her due date...what would happen if she were to go into labor? _______________________________________ ⋩ At that Stephen halted on the spot and looked at her. "Really?" That was odd. Though, of course she could have just got here. An amazing coincedence but it was possible. In any case, he would have to find out why she was here. "Well, I guess they'll get around to it eventually." He started walking again, taking turns almost randomly.
"To be honest, Maliborne could be a problem or he could be of help. I don't know. Many think he's insane, and maybe he is. But he doesn't do things without a reason. Doesn't kill just to kill." He ran a hand through his hair, almost as if he hated the uncertainty. His other hand was securely holding Anaiis's so as to keep her close at all times. "Before I left he would have done anything to keep me content at his side, so I would support him, so I would rule by his side. But...now the rules of the game may have changed. I'm not sure anymore." He looked at her sideways, an apologizing look in his eyes, as if to say, I'm sorry for putting your life in danger...

The words Stephen spoke and the looks he gave weren't very reassuring or off her thoughts of being a prisoner in luxury. "Well so what does that mean? I mean for us... Are we still safe here? _______________________________________ ⋩ He had debated with himself where to go the moment she told him she didn't really have a room yet. It was better not to talk openly in the middle of a hall. I know the perfect place though, he thought as he led her to his room. "We can stay here. nobody would want to disturb the prince's room." His statement being proved right by the desolate air the room showed. It was as magnificent as always but it wasn't all that warm, as if the room was entered only to be cleaned once in a while.
He started rummaging in his pockets, his hands entering pockets at random looking for whatever he was searching, when he heard her words. "Her?" he looked at Anaiis, his expression blank and completely stunned. "You mean...You mean it's a girl?" Suddenly he took out a magnifying glass and leaned down to look at her belly with it, as if he could actually see the baby somehow. ⋩ _______________________________________ This is when it gets complicated. _______________________________________

"Yes, it's a girl," she said, saying it again kind of making her eyes water with happiness, "Is that okay with you?" she asked, double-checking. She hoped it was, she was very happy about it. It meant cute dresses and tutu skirt and pink and purple and polka dots galore. Still however, she wanted Stephen to be happy, she wanted him to be around...she loved him and missed him. _______________________________________ ⋩ The magnifying glass didn't have x-ray vision or anything of the sort but it was enchanted to show something very useful. Right now it showed an amazingly bright swirl of colors all over the baby; any ordinary human with the ability to see it would say it was the aura and they wouldn't be that far off. It was the magic.
And it was extraordinarily bright, her magic incredibly powerful. And not only that, the light show was in the exact pattern to signify that it was indeed a girl. "Is that okay with me?" he repeated her words, taking the magnifying glass off his face showing the big grin on his face. "Of course it is. Couldn't be better." He said, walking up to her and kissing her again, all the time smiling.
He threw the magnifying glass over his shoulder, making it land smoothly on the bed. "I think quite possibly, that my luck is finally turning around." he said, turning around after the kiss. He sat on the bed still smiling, then stood up again with an "ow!" realizing he had sat on the magnifying glass. He held on his hand and sat down again. "So...what do you think princess Kristalee Anaiis?" he gestured grandly, extending his arms to envelope the whole room. "This whole castle, this whole room and much, much more all for you. And the baby, of course." ⋩ _______________________________________ This is when it gets complicated. _______________________________________

When he went and sat down and she heard his words, she couldn't help but smile softy again; this time biting her lip as well. "Princess? What is that suppose to mean?" she asked, still smiling softly, as she walked into his open arms. She looked at him carefully to try to figure out exactly what he was meaning to say, although she had a fair idea. "What are you saying?" she asked with her bitten lip smile. "...It's a girl."
