Seeing Alexei take down the remaining solders, Caine instead turns his attention to Miles. He sprints up the path attempting to get behind the assassin, charging with his scythe ready to strike. When he gets within range, he swings his weapon with great speed, the blade aiming for the assassin's neck.

((It's cool! Besides...it made it easier to make an introduction post. ;D))
The assassin anticipated a rebounding strike, her eyes followed the girls blade. Letting her limps go free, she fell straight down to her knees, narrowly avoiding having her head decapitated. She rolled back, letting out a soft hiss as she kicked herself into a backflip that landed on her feet.
"Ssso much better than that..." She let out another laugh of hisses before raising her head high, sniffing the air with quick breaths, "...A Guardian?" The assassin spoke, sniffing once more, her eyes flashing for a moment. Careful ears listened to the rustling of clothing and footsteps approaching behind her, followed by the whistle of a bladed weapon moving quickly through air.
With battle-hardened reflex's, she ducked backwards, moving her body in an abnormal way so that her legs appeared to be standing slightly straight up, as her upper half fell to the ground.
Caine's scythe would hit only air as the assassin would pull herself between his legs in seconds, hissing as she rolled back onto her feet and ran past him in a blur once more. She moved to the ridge, seeing where the smell of brewing dark magic dwelled, the scent of an ancient being could be sensed nearby. Peering over, her eyes gazed down at the gunbladist below, "Sssilence!" She cried, the Katar in her right hand glowing an instance before the spell launched at him, hoping to cease his chance of calling a Guardian Force.

"Shi-" Alexei managed as the spell stopped his voice, and Hades roared angrily in his mind as his summoning was halted. He winced and holstered one of his gunblades, preparing to climb up the ridge to meet the assassin. He was quick, taking a running start and leaping up, catching the wall and pulling himself up.
As he leapt up onto the ridge, he put his free hand to his throat to signal to his teammates that he'd been silenced. Hopefully, one of the others had an Echo grass or Esuna spell to throw his way. He pulled out his other gunblade and prepared himself to get back in the fight.

Caine ran up behind the assassin and tried to strike her down, just like she had before but with about the same amount of success. He was no more successful in his attack than she had been in hers. If the assassin was not her enemy, she would have admitted to being impressed aloud and not just in her head.
"No!" Miles felt the weight of Silence spell as one of the worst things an opponent could ever do because she was so powerful with her magic. Regardless, she couldn't keep up and looked over the cliff in time only to see Alexandrov caught in the spell. Their leader recovered quickly, though, and he met them on the cliff.
She was never more upset that she didn't know Esuna and as serious as she was before, the Silence spell only fueled her focus. If he could still fight, then so could she.
Miles thought it best to avoid any more casting unless it was needed. Instead, she tried again to disable one of the assassin's arms by aiming for the shoulder this time.
((Oh, in that case, you're welcome, haha.))

Caine curses as his attack misses, and spins around to locate the assassin. He charges at takes another swing, this time aiming for her back- a bigger target. She was probably wearing armor, but there was only one way to know for sure. He didn't know Esuna, nor did he think to grab any Echo Screens. He had plenty of potions, but unfortunately that wouldn't cure silence. He decided to hold of on summoning Lilith until the assassin was more distracted and unable to cast anther silence spell.

((Yikes! Sorry for the delay, guys!))
The assassin hissed a laughter as the one below didn't have time to cast his precious Guardian after her. The mans machine payed off after all...
Her well developed ears caught the sound of rushing footsteps behind her, but it was too late. Her head turned in time to see the bladed weapon striker her shoulder. Letting out a loud screech of pain. Electrical sparks emitted from the fresh wound, and within a millisecond of the strike to her shoulder, the assassin kicked her foot behind her, aiming to strike her heel into the abdomen of her attacker.
It was then she spun 'round, her head twitching to the right slightly before lifting her one arm in a diagonal, horizontal swing, twisting her body to knock the incoming Scythe out of the way.
She needed to get some distance...all her opponents infront of her so she could end this. Moving in a blur once again...though slower than before, the wound on her shoulder continued to jolt electrical sparks down her arm beneath her cloak. She moved so her back was to the cliff edge now, her glowing eyes casting between the attackers, "You are trying my patience children..." She hissed, trying to lift her one arm, but failed in doing so as more sparks whizzed from the wound she sported.

She was going for the edge of the cliff - what was she up to? She wasn't jumping down. It appeared like she was trying to keep them from getting behind her. Well, they still had room to flank her.
Alexei, on the assassin's right side, pointed his right hand gunblade out to indicate the assassin's far side as he approached the near one. She had slowed down considerably due to the wound Miles had given her. He'd have to commend her for that later.
She was fast, and she may have silenced his ability to call Hades, but the Lord of Death was still present and enhancing his abilities. He tucked his fingers into the trigger guards of his gunblades and rushed towards the assassin. Coming in low, his left hand blade streaked through the air in a stabbing motion towards her leg as his right blade waited in reserve to parry or follow up with a second strike to the assassin's abdomen. His left hand blade went off just as he expected to strike.

Caine lets out a frustrated grunt as his second attack misses, and follows her as the woman retreats to the cliff. As Alexei attacks from the right, Caine comes at her from the left with a swift, shallow attack this time, instead of aiming with the slower, wider-swept killing blows he had been attacking with further. He was hoping his swifter attacks, though less fatal, would weaken her, and considering how much slower she was after Miles' hit, he figured it was a pretty decent strategy.

The chilling laughter of the assassin was cut short by Miles' blade through her shoulder. She had every intention of turning around quickly at the end, not wanting to be caught with her back to such a capable enemy, but it turned out poorly. She was almost knocked back by the blow into her stomach, but Miles regained her footing although her breathing was giving her a harder time. Despite the ragged breaths she was taking, she stayed in her defensive fighting stance.
Caine's attack was blocked again and the assassin was on the run once more...her retreat only brought her to the edge of a cliff, however odd that seemed. Regardless, Miles was beginning to see the assassin differently. The woman gave off electric current when wounded and her eyes glowed as she glared at them. Maybe the hiss was connected to it? It didn't matter, she guessed, as long as they killed her before she reached Balamb.
"Good," she retorted simply to the assassin. After all, it was basically their job to do what she said they were doing. Her arm was in horrible condition from the looks of things and even better than that was the sight of Alexandrov was coming up form behind. The trick of it was not to look at him anymore so the assassin wouldn't figure out that he was coming. Or at least she would be less likely to do so.
Caine surprised her by attacking too, because she felt like they were meant to be a distraction until Alexandrov arrived. What's more distracting than being attacked, I guess. But with Alexandrov on the right and Caine on the left, there wasn't much room left for her. Miles hung back and cast a Cure spell for herself instead, figuring that when she came in, she should be at her best.

Standing by the cliff edge proved useful as she glanced at the silenced one who charged at her right, the other with the scythe moving in on her left. Were they going to try and pincer her? The assassin wouldn't have it.
But the amount of speed she had just lost proved to be too great when she could only turn to catch the silenced one who clocked in on her fast. Her still working arm swung upward, striking the incoming gunblade away, while her right foot kicked out simultaneously, aiming to dislocate the gunbladist right shoulder.
It was then a sharp pain erupted from her back, sparks ignited from the impact of the scythe, causing her to hiss once more. The armor she wore stopped the blade from entering too far...but it still hurt like a b***h. With not enough time to think, She cast her head back, aiming to look at her attacker, "Blind!" She cried, her eyes flashing almost as bright as the sun.

Although Alexei's first attack was foiled, he was prepared for the assassin's counter, having kept his right hand blade back for defense or a follow-up. It looked like defense was necessary. He rolled his torso away from the kick, leaving his chest dangerously exposed for a moment, but as he realized this, the assassin was distracted by Caine's telling blow.
Her leg hit his shoulder as intended, but as it did, his gunblade came up under it in an attempt to skewer her thigh. The impact of her kick caused his finger to slip off the trigger, so the gunblade did not go off, but there was still a good chance that she'd have a long dagger in the back of her thigh.

Caine smirks as his attack hits, but it quickly fades as the assassin counters with a blind spell. It hits the mark, and he stumbles backward slightly as everything is suddenly plunged into darkness. 'Damn... I can't use my weapon or I'll risk hitting Alexei in it's range...' he thinks, carefully stepping backward a few feet. He wanted to get out of striking distance. Though Alexei couldn't use magic, he could still fight, and Miles was still behind him too and fully able to attack. He'd give her a chance to get in and distract the woman. 'Lilith, it's time,' he thinks, drawing his power to summon his Guardian. "Got it. You can count on me," she replies, eager to get a chance to fight. The air around Caine grows darker and slightly hotter as he begins to summon. He tries to call her as quickly as possible, hoping Alexei and Miles would distract the woman long enough for the summoning to be completed.

Her time to enter the fight was when Caine was blinded. His backward stumble let her get in between him and the assassin, although she was careful to stay out of the darkness. Miles mistook it for a symptom of the blind spell and dismissed it. While Alexandrov struggled against her on the right, she was aiming low at the woman's abdomen. They were past the time when mere injuries were the best strategy...sooner rather than later, they were going to have to kill her. As reluctant as Miles was to admit that, it was more likely than not that they would have to do so in order to protect Balamb.

Damn it! She could smell another Guardian! When her foot connects with the mans shoulder, she grinned for a second before she caught his right hand coming up, her attempt to dislocate his shoulder a failure.
Using him a leverage, she extended her good arm at him, "Thundaga!" She cried, her voice echoing as the powerful spell rained down from the sky, aiming to strike the silenced warrior down. But not wasting anytime, she heaved herself into the air, pushing herself off the silenced one and into a backflip.
But as she did, she didn't sense the girl charging, and received the lung into her calf, the spot least protected by her armor. Sparks and currents whizzed out of the new wound. The assassins back flip failed when the blade struck her calf, her eyes flashing when she landed hard on her back, groaning out a hiss.
Without her legs...she couldn't fight back anymore, "Defeated...Never wasss...I defeated." Her eyes looked up at the man who was summoning his Guardian. What else could she do? Taking a deep breath, she hissed, her head twitching slightly as a smoky vapor released from the slits over the mouth of her ironclad mask.

((I like how I've gotten no hits on the assassin, but opened her up for all the hits she has taken. XD ))
Alexei barely had time to react as the lightning struck down towards him. He managed to avoid the brunt of the spell by jumping away, but he was still knocked off his feet, one of his gunblades flying out of his grip and landing several meters away with its tip buried in a patch of soil.
He was sent sprawling on his back, and struggled weakly to get his feet back. He would have groaned had he not been silenced, but he was able to get up and held his gunblade out towards the assassin. He lifted his other hand and, looking squarely at his subordinates, dragged his thumb across his throat. This needed to end.
