umm....this isn't a about a herb, and i'm sorry if this is not what's going on. But i was wondering how to use fresh herbs/fruits/veggies in rituals and spells. I've tried to dried lemons but it didn't work out so well :/

Scubas_girl umm....this isn't a about a herb, and i'm sorry if this is not what's going on. But i was wondering how to use fresh herbs/fruits/veggies in rituals and spells. I've tried to dried lemons but it didn't work out so well :/ It really depends on what sort of spells and rituals they're for, and what kind of plants you're using. Some methods I've heard of: For some spells you take a bit of oil or extract from that plant, and rub it onto a candle, then light the candle (just make sure what ever you're using isn't flamable whee ). For others, you take a dried plant and burn it over a fire to create smoke for a specific purpose (like cleansing a space or enchanting objects). For potions, you usually grind up or cook the plants to use as ingredients. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with all of that yet, but a really good reference book for this sort of thing is The Witch's Journal by Selene Silverwind. It will tell you what kind of ingredients are best for certain types of spells, and how to properly use them.
