Alector's eyes widened when the Mage latched her arms around his neck and started screaming. In all the commotion he had completely forgotten the fact some people considered him a celebrity online, so this came like a surprise to him. At first he tried to smile, but the girl's grip was getting stronger and stronger, until at some point Alector felt she might do him in, in her excitement. Even though Alector had hugged the girl back so to not be rude, when he felt he could no longer breathe he said:

Alector: "You are chocking me." - His words however did not come out quite right, they were quiet and sounded more like choking noises, and as you can probably figure the girl did not seem to understand him, or let go of him.

Alector's already pale face was just starting to become even whiter when the girl finally let him go Alector moved back a little and took a few deep breaths.

Alector: "Oh God... I'm saved..." - he mumbled under his breath, then he heard the girl apologizing to him because he had to save her, this just made him smile - "Oh do not worry, it was my pleasure to help." - He then looked at Hatter - "Though I couldn't have done it without our other star companion, Hatter, over here." - He said and held his hand out pointing at Hatter, his palm was facing upward as if he was introducing a star at an award ceremony.

Just when he pointed at Hatter he realized it might not have been such a good idea, Alector was only number 4 in the Ladder Board and she almost choked him to death in her excitement, he didn't even want to imagine what poor Hatter was in for.

Suddenly he felt something strange, his experience points went up quite a bit, 1 whole percent of what he needed to level up again, at first Alector was unsure why that was, but when he looked toward the lake he saw the undead dragon had beaten the Water-Weed, and since Alector had helped he had leached some of the experience gained. Yeah, sure he was still far from the next level, but 1% was a lot of help.

The battle went on behind the group and Jinx’s intervention seemed to be giving the dragon the upper hand with the weed moving sloppily and even stabbing itself quite a few times. Jinx was quite enjoying it the cat even let out low evil cackles in its own little dark aura; apparently the blood thirsty fight was quite amusing as a spectator sport.

Hatter was less than amused when his sister rapped wrapped her arms around the second place Necromancer instead of himself. Should he ‘accidentally’ summon an undead viper, a very poisonous creature and ‘accidentally’ make it bite him several times? That was just one of the many things he contemplated doing to the pitiable character his sister was abusing, though that was not how Hatter saw it.

His plotting was interrupted when Alector pointed him out to his little sister. Might’s eyes lit up like a five year old at a toy store. It had been a very long time since either of his sisters had given him that kind of reaction. He had to keep a cool persona and not act like he normally did, that was difficult. Made worse by the fact that his sister charge hugged him, the grip was phenomenal for someone her size but it was to be expected in game. He hugged back awkwardly trying not to seem the ‘pervert’ that Hina commonly called him when not in the public eye.

The neck breaking hug soon loosed but did not let go as the weed died and broke off into pixelated light before fading away, giving the three a boost in experience. The cat wondered back over to Hatter. “Jinx?” It was Hatter himself who asked the one word question, his sister still in his arms getting hatter wet in her soaking form.

Jinx sat beside his owner and licked his paw once before answering. The cat’s voice was deep and dark, almost like the night itself. “How boring, it ended up tying itself in a knot and nearly strangling itself only to have its head get four sides of a rotting mouth wrapped around it and teeth sink in. Stupid thing and what kind of pet would lose to that kind of thing?” The last part was more than likely a shot at the other player’s dragon, after all Jinx did shift his glance to the beast when he said it. Jinx was defiantly a pet with a bad personality.

More then an expected reaction by the little Mage when she saw Hatter. All is well that ends well, and Alector's rescue had turned out well in the end, when you exclude the fact he needed rescuing himself. Just knowing that he almost died when trying to help out this player was more then enough to make him wonder what could have caused this, after all, in his history Alector had managed to take out bosses on his own, he always knew what to do and how to do it in order to win easily, so why not this time. It was quite strange but Alector explained it to himself with a simple "I didn't have time to think and the battlefield wasn't very Necromancer friendly so it was understandable..." Not really...

Alector: "Ah, so you have heard of him." - It was a rather arrogant thing to say, but it was all part of Alector's character. - "Well if you're alright now then I will be leaving." - he said and waved at Mayume.

Mayume on the other hand simply followed Alector and allowed him to mount her, after that she heard Jinx's comment about the battle, and about Mayume's crash-landing, definitely not one of the well behaved pets that one. She gave the cat a winter storm spawning glare and said, well tried to say anyway:

Mayume: "A chewing toy like--" - But Alector interrupted her, not wanting to confront this player.

Alector: "Drop it Mayume, we will find you a bigger snack." - Sure Alector didn't let it go without mocking the cat back, and if you think about it Jinx had no place trying to call Mayume weak, he wasn't even a battle pet and Mayume was already overloaded at the time of her fall.

Mayume just let out a bit of a groan but did as Alector asked and left the cat alone.

Slowly the market came into vission as Alexandria logged on as Fae Blackhawk. It had been only a week in game time that she had been transformed into a blood elf. A creature that was thought long extinct in game history. The wind blew softly causing her blonde hair to dance about her face. She reached up for the millionth time feeling the long pointed ears of her character, which now that she was fully intigrated into the game she could feel them extending up past her head in long points. Rings hung from the lobe as she slowly let her hand dropped to the side and she let out a soft sigh, before taking in a deep breath of the air. It smelled so fresh and soon she could smell the baker down the street in the market of Star City and the smoking meat from the butchers. she slid her long elegant fingers through her long blonde locks as her crystal blue eyes that now seemed to glow with a gentle blue light scanned the market. She had logged out in the middle of the market after defeating a large bear like creature in the bog to the east, retrieving it's pelt before it disappeared. She slid her hands down the new blood elf armour, it was a dark purple and hugged tightly against her skin, encasing her chest in a hard armour and her legs covered in a purple leather with knee high boots. She licked her lips slowly as she glanced around. Noticing several of the usual NPCs, but all the other players that walked around the market were unrecognizable.

Slowly she moved forward as she pulled a small scroll from her hidden pack. Pulling it open she checked her status as well as the amount of money she had. She made her way over to the baker's accessing her account and pulling out the card to buy a small chese bun to bring her health up a bit. She paid for it, then made her way over to the large fountain in the market place. Sitting down to eat the food while she watched other players buying and selling items, while others simply chatted. She knew she'd have to head to the leader board to check for a quest to either join or take on her own. Her mind running through the latest quests that she had completed.

The dragon slowly started to rise from the ground, letting out another fierce roar at the indignation of being attacked in such a manner, King digging in his ear with a finger as he waited for the beast to get back up. Despite being ranked in the top fifty, pretty much at the bottom, he was one of the few players to make that rank and not be at level one hundred, in fact he was at eighty eight. The reason he got so high in the rankings to begin with despite not breaking a hundred, was thanks to the Black Onslaught. It classified as a ‘Godly’ weapon thanks to the fact that it leveled up with the player, and his weapons level came in at 70, having got the weapon for his random item draw upon joining the warrior class. Combine that and his real abilities didn’t measure anywhere near where his level actually said he was, and the boosts to his stats given by the transformation improved that even further. The transformation itself drained his magic reserves so using abilities aside from ‘punching the crap out of it’ and ‘slashing it until it dies’ wouldn’t work unless it was a regular technique that didn’t do a drain on mp. Nevertheless, whenever he transformed he tended to rely on punching stuff anyway. It felt nice.

King hefted his scythe and slashed, cutting through an oncoming stream of fire easily while raising it again to block the falling claw towards his right, having enough strength to stop the dragon’s physical attack while skidding across the ground for a bit. His blade bit through the armored scales of the dragon’s claw, and he brought his scythe back for a moment before slashing with it, using all his force behind the blow and cleaving the claw from the dragon’s arm entirely, grinning with satisfaction as blood spewed from the creature’s stump of an arm, spinning his weapon about and slicing through more blasts of flame as the dragon backed up to get some distance from between the two, knowing that close combat would only rule against it. King let out an appreciative whistle, surprised the thing was smart enough to know to attack at a range, but simultaneously annoyed that he couldn’t get any closer due to it continuing to fire fireballs at him to keep him at a range, apparantly ignoring Vivi despite the fact she had accompanied him. Eventually the beast let out another continuous stream of fire towards him, forcing the young warrior to defend with his scythe, gritting his teeth in irritation as he felt the drain on his magic from his transformation.

If all he could do was defend and avoid attacks the scythe would reseal itself and he’d be stuck at square one against one pissed off beast. ”Ah well, no point in defending if I can’t get a strike in!” He lowered his scythe and charged forward, ignoring the damage and pain caused by the searing flames while running through it at full speed, heading straight into the dragon’s mouth with reckless abandon. Hinote accepted the boy’s eagerness to run straight into his own demise and clamped its jaws down shut once King entered, snorting in satisfaction, jets of steam escaping from the lizard’s nostrils. It turned it’s attention onto Vivi and started to prepare to blast her with flame until it reared back as the blade of Black Onslaught pierced its underbelly from the inside, the creature hollowing with pain and starting to slam itself against the caverns, flapping its fiery wings and taking off, trying to escape the pain. King himself was having a field day simply by carving up anything and everything that was in arm’s reach, which was a lot of organs and other fun stuff.

Hinote soared throug the air, jets of flame being blasted at random as it flew through the skies, striking anything it could reach. The monstrous silloute of the beast could be seen as it escaped the lair it resided in, and traveled across the lands with a willing, yet violent passenger. King’s scythe poked through the creature’s underbelly again, this time slashing all the way through and he grabbed some of it’s entrails to hang by lest he fall to his doom. Swinging from the intenstines he gripped until he could reach the dying dragon’s back, his demonic form covered in blood and stomach acids while he climbed towards Hinote’s head with an ecstatic look on his face, clinging to it’s neck and raising his scythe high to stab into it. Letting out another roar Hinote started to fall, the flames that made up its wings dying out as it plummeted to the ground, crashing violently, kicking up earth and mowing down trees as it skidded across the ground, coming to a rough halt. Seeing that Hinote was finally dead, King bound his scythe, Black Onslaught transforming back into a sword as he hopped off the dragon’s corpse and walked over towards it’s head, starting to hack it off so he could drag it into town with him before it disappeared into nothing but pixels of light.

He said he was going to wear a dragon’s skull as a helmet and he damned well meaned it.

”Dragon skull, dragon skull! I got me a helmet now, gyahahahaha!!”

There were several things wrong with this guy, mainly that really bad laugh. Eventually he sawed through the neck and sheathed his sword, picking up the dragon's head to carry over his own before looking about in confusion, noticing the absence of his teammate. Letting out a sigh and checking his location on a map he had before sending her a pm to alert her that he was near Star City, and was going to find someone to turn the dragon skull into a helmet or something, waving good bye to Hinote's corpse as it pixelated, wondering how long it would take the creature to respawn since he wanted to try fighting it without transforming.

Seeing Alector getting ready to leave Might went to get off Hatter, to which he reluctantly put the small Mage down. She ran over to Alector, putting her hand on the dragon’s body when she got there and looked up at Alector.

“Befo- Before you go could I please add you to my contacts? It would be a really great honour to have you on there.” At the start of the sentence she was unsure about how to put what she wanted to say but by the end of it she was beaming with confidence like she would on stage.

A look crossed her face like she suddenly thought of something and she looked down, diving a hand into her pouch. After a bit of fiddling she pulled out a heart shaped and corked bottle. She presented it to Alector. “A gift for saving me. It’s a potion a mage can collect from an NPC when they complete the ‘Love Swarm’ quest. If you break it on a monster it takes their attack rate down by 50% because they fall in love with you.” The Love Swarm quest had a bit of a bad reputation, the monsters in that quest easily found the player and attacked as soon as they got their like they were crazy in love or something. Some players told about being stripped of clothing by monsters and others killed themselves because it got too bone chilling, but if they managed to finish the quest then a item, different for each class could be collected by the NPC who initiated the quest.

While Might stood waiting for a response from Alector Hatter had turned his attention to the summoned dragon who was being attacked by several low level players. They had to be quite frank mistaken the summoned beast for a monster; an idiot’s mistake. The dragon had eaten one player whole and was going for the second when hatter unsummoned it with a sideways swing of his mighty staff. The dragon pixelated and dispersed when it was less than a second away from eating another player. The players jumped up in joy thinking they hate killed the dragon though one would wonder how long it would take them to realise they where stupid.

Alector looked at the Mage with surprise written all over his face, to be honest he thought she wouldn't even notice him leave, after all it wasn't every day that you get to meet the best player in the entire game face to face. He looked at her curiously as she approached and placed her hand on Mayume's back, that was when she spoke, but she sounded a bit unsure of what she wanted to say.

Mayume's reaction the the Mage touching her on the other hand was far from what you'd expect. Most pets had the habit of at least growling when someone other then their owner touched them, but Mayume didn't seem to mind at all, she just looked at the girl and listened to what she had to say.

Alector: "Is that it?" - Alector couldn't understand why she was so worried to ask if he would add her to his contacts - "Sure, I'll add you." - He smiled at her - "In fact it would be my pleasure." - he added and send her a friend request, that was just when she held out a heart shaped potion. She was offering it as a gift, and she even explained what it did, not that Alector didn't know, he was like an encyclopedia when it came to this game. He knew that it wasn't easy to do the quest, and he knew the rewards were more intended to be presented as gifts, even though they had good abilities they were one use items, and nobody wanted to waste them.

Alector: "Why thank you, but I really can't take it just like that..." - He didn't want to refuse the gift because it would be rude, so he too it but decided to give her a gift he suspected she would like - "I know, why don't you take this." - He held out a scroll for her to take.

It wasn't something special, in fact all the top players in the top 10 positions in the ladder board had it, it was a pass for their club, with this the little Mage would be able to enter and leave the place as if she was one of them, this would give her a chance to meet all her favorite players.

Might was extatic that Alector sent her a contact request. She accepted it as soon as she got it, having the top ten on her contacts was something she would love to achieve. Unexpectedly Alector gave Might a gift in return for the one she gave. She squealed in excitement. It was something that would make it easier to meet the other top ten. “Thank you so much Alector! You are awesome!”

Might’s little grip around the gift was even more intense than the ones she had shown the players with her hugs. She was not letting it be taken away from her. “Ah! If your ever interested in joining a crew then my friend is making one. It may not be very good and is small but I am sure it will be fun.” Might called her younger sister friend because even though they were different heights in game the twins still looked similar to each other so it was better not to boast about their blood relationship openly, it may attract attention.

Hatter spoke before Might could continue, he was behind Might; “If you would be kind enough to also extend that invitation to me I would gladly join to have the pleasure of fighting beside someone like yourself. I have been looking for a crew to join.” Hatter had lied for the last part, he was not looking for a crew to join but rather looking for a way into a certain crew. The one his youngest sister led.

Alector turned his attention to Mayume, it seemed that he would be spending some more time with these two. One thing Alector couldn't help but notice however, was the fact that neither the Mage, which Alector had now identified as Might+love after checking his contacts, nor Hatter seemed to have mounts, and while that would hardly be a problem for Hatter, Alector strongly doubted Might could summon anything she can ride.

Alector: "I suspect you are aware I already have a team, but I'd be happy to join you for an adventure." - He looked around himself and his two companions and noticed that this place was becoming a bit crowded, and that was saying a lot since not many bothered to come here. - "It might be a good idea to leave now, it seems we are attracting quite the crowd." - These people had likely been attracted by the commotion of the fight with the Water-Weed, and some of them were PK's, popular ones too, which meant this crowd wasn't here for autographs.

Yeah, sure Alector and Hatter were of the top players out there, and their levels far exceeded the highest level in the gathering group, but Alector didn't like to kill other players and he only did it when he had no other choice.

Alector: "Come now, Mayume will take us up to Star City." - He said with an inviting gesture toward Might. If you're wondering, yes he was inviting her to ride his dragon with him. - "She should be able to handle us when she doesn't have to fight."

One thing that left a really weird impression in Alector's mind was the fact the galaxy's best player was looking for a crew, and nobody knew about it. This was the best player, all he needed to do was wave his hand the invitations would drown him. Perhaps that was what he was trying to avoid, but that didn't explain why he would want to join a crew of two people, he could easily join one of the major guilds. Then again, looking at Hatter it wasn't hard to see that he didn't like people a whole lot, and joining a big guild would attract people, Alector ought to know, he was in the 9th guild on the Ladder Board. A lot of thoughts crossed Alector's mind, and in the end he decided to keep an eye on Hatter, it couldn't have been all that coincidental that he came to save them, Alector just knew there was something more to it.

At Hatter’s interruption his sister seemed delighted; he let out a soft smile to which she did not see. She had turned her attention back to the mounted player, Hatter was starting to dislike this player and it showed in his cold stare.

Alector did make a good point though. A crowd was starting to gather, that crowd was restless and violent. A few of the players had started fighting with each other while others even seemed to be interested in the group of three. Hatter sighed out loud. The WP version of MIR was never meant to give way to the player kill player world, apart from the few up and coming tournaments that had yet to be announced, but even so they had never before done prizes such as land big or small.

An archer pulled back a bow then let it go, flying straight towards the group. Hatter caught it; it was a mid level steel cased arrow. He snapped it in his hand. “How uncivilized, no need to meet such trash in battle.”

Hatter took a few steps away from the others and tapped his staff to the ground twice, causing an empty magic circle to appear. “あなた自身速いモンスターショー” He tapped the ground again and symbols illuminated on the ground and the ground under Hatter’s feet shifted.

Hatter’s sister who had said to Alector she would rather fly then die and was ready to get onto the dragon stopped to look at Hatter’s actions.

A beast was what came from under the ground, it was un-dead no question about that; parts of the muscles on its legs where showing and half of the skin of its face had rotted away. The body looked similar to a lion with horse’s hooves and a raptor’s head. Hatter stood beside the beast as it screeched, he had used a high level fast summon circle it would choose a random beast according to the information that was given and Hatter wanted fast which he got.

A overzealous warrior tried to stab the summoned beast in the side only to have himself be trampled on, it was the warrior’s fault for taking it on but that was probably not how the trampled warriors allies saw it.

Hatter grabbed Might around the waist and lifted her up in kidnap-like style, which was fitting since she had accepted Alector’s offer. “We should make haste don’t you think?” He was talking to both of them. In one leap he was on the creature’s back, sitting in an area that had not yet rotted, Might was still tucked under his arm. Jinx followed his master onto the beast, sitting behind him.

Quickly mounting his dragon again, Alector pointed upward and Mayume shot to the sky instantly. Oh how Alector hated the kind of people that kill others to steal from them, what, couldn't they play the game like everyone else and earn their equipment.

Alector: "Faithless cowards, it's real easy killing someone with 1:20 odds!" - Mayume stopped in the air by Hatter's side - "Quickly now, this is about to turn ugly soon." - Alector was well aware that if both Hatter and Might mounted Mayume along with himself she would be overloaded and would not be able to get them far before crashing into the ground. Yeah, sure she had some buffs that would help her carry larger loads, but 3 people would be too much even with a buff active.

Mayume: "I cannot carry all of you! Only one more!" - The dragon protested.

Alector: "I am aware Mayume." - He looked at hatter then at Might, after that he jumped off his dragon - "Mayume, take Might to safety then return for Hatter and myself." - If they were still in one piece that is.

Archers: "Hail Of Arrows!" - Some of the archers were heard shouting out, just moments later arrows eclipsed the sun. The Hail Of Arrows was an archer skill, it required an enchanted bow and it allowed the user to multiply an arrow after it was fired. Ideally this attack was used with an arrow fired upward because the longer it flew the more it would multiply, and by the time it returned to the ground it would have multiplied so many times that it would practically rain down on the opponent like a Hailstorm, that was why it was called Hail Of Arrows.

Alector: "Arrows from above!" - He pointed upward, just moments later Mayume looked up and released a steady Dragon Breath attack that incinerated all the arrows that would hit the party - "Good work Mayume! Now take Might to safety." - He said and joined his hands - "In the mean time we might as well have some fun here."

Just as he said that some more arrows were fired toward the party, but this time Alector was prepared, he quickly turned around and cast "Attract" on the mages. Attract was a curse that directed all ranged and magic attacks to the cursed target for as long as the curse lasted.

I know what you're going to say, why does Alector use so many curses. It's simple actually, Alector liked to use only strong summons, that was in fact the only type of summons he had, but most of them took a while to summon, so he had almost every de-buff a necromancer could have, because they were quick, and they were some of the nastiest de-buffs out there. Plus, necromancers were able to use de-buffs and prepare a summon at the same time, if they had a high enough level on their Hex-master skill that is. In short, Alector was preparing for something big.
