Applepaw would've been bouncing in joy on what happened when Webpaw laid his tail on her shoulders, but she was to shocked, and sad about her sister's sudden death. "We were arguing... We never said sorry..." Applepaw stared dully at her sister.

Webpaw sighed. "I'm sorry Applepaw," he said.

Berrydapple watched Applepaw stare at her sister. "Come on let's get her body back to camp," she said picking Sunpaw up and flipping the apprentice back and carried her off.

Applepaw laid her dull eyes on Webpaw. She meowed, "I know." She meowed simply. Applepaw then nodded slowly at Berrydapple and she helped to pick her sister up and headed towards camp.

Dawnpaw padded out of the medicine cat den and her jaw dropped when she saw Sunpaw. She raced over to the apprentices. She exaimed the apprentice. There weren't any scratches so what could have killed her. "Applepaw what was Sunpaw doing before she died?" Dawnpaw asked wanting to know what caused the young apprentices death.

Applepaw looked up miserably and she meowed, "We were collecting moss, and we had an argument. Sunpaw was so angry at me, that she shredded some of the log and splinters showered everywhere. And on the moss." She added. Applepaw shook her head in confusion as she finished, "Then, I saw her clearing it out. The moss looked like it didn't have any splinter's left... But... I think it did, and she swallowed one, and... And choked." She finished. Applepaw felt like wailing like a kit.

Dawnpaw nodded and felt around Sunpaw's throat. There was a lump down the middle of her throat. "Yep she definately shallowed one, not only did it choke her, she bled to death as well," she said. Dawnpaw turned to Berrydapple. "Get Tigerlily, I want her to see this," she said.

Berrydapple nodded. She was very proud of her daughter. She was very good at being a medicine cat. She would get her full name before Berrydapple will even know it. She padded over to the medicine den. "Tigerlily, Dawnpaw would like you to come out into the clearing. Sunpaw has just died," she said as her heart broke a little saying it. Sunpaw had been a great little she-cat and would've been a great warrior in Lightclan. But Starclan- No Starclan didn't do it to her. Starclan wouldn't have let it happen if they hadn't turned their backs on the clans. Berrydapple bristled a little in anger. She bared her teeth and ran out of camp. She didn't want anyone to see her this mad and upset. She stopped at a hollow log and sat on top of it and gazed at the sky in complete anger for Starclan. Maybe Lunarstar was right. Maybe the Great Battle did do somethign to my usually good nature, Berrydapple thought.

Applepaw was horrified, imagining her sister choking, and bleeding to death. She suppressed a shudder, and then she felt her sister's weight get off her as soon as she was put off of her shoulders. She would've felt better if StarClan had taken her in, but they hadn't, and wouldn't. The Dark Forest would get her spirit, and she suppressed a chilling shiver.

Scarletfire glared up at the sky. Why did you do this to us. She looked down sadly at the apprentice, suppressing a shiver that passed through her.

Thornpelt turned in shock at Grayfur. "What do you think that was." He asked as they bounded out of the camp, toward the noise. He stifled a yowl as he gazed at Sunpaw's still unmoving body.

Applepaw scented Thornpelt before she saw him enter the camp. She sighed a feeble one and she sat down, not bothering to explain yet.

Tigerlily looked up from her herbs. She nodded and padded out of her den. She walked over to Sunpaw's body and shook her head. The apprentice didn't deserve this. The she-cat then turned her head and looked at her apprentice. "What was the cause of death Dawnpaw?" she asked

"She choked to death on a rather big thorn and bled to death Tigerlily," Dawnpaw said.

Webpaw smiled inside for his sister. He knew she was distracted most of the time, but she was always very serious about this type of stuff.

Bumbleroot limped out of the warriors den. "Whats going on," he said. He stopped when he saw Sunpaw. He sighed. It was a shame when young cats like that die.

Watched as Sunpaw died and flinched. She pushed her four kits back into the nursery. "Now stay!" she mewed firmly and padded into the clearing. She looked around for Jumpfoot but didn't spot the tom anywhere. She padded over to Sunpaw and gave her a lick on the ear. "Rest peacefully, don't let the darkness blind you," she whispered.

Lunarstar bowed her head.
"Tonight we sit vigil for Sunpaw," She mewed. "May her pawsteps not be too dark."

Applepaw sat down, and she buried her nose to her sister's already cold fur. She reeked of death. Ever since the Great Battle, it seemed as though that the preparations never happened anymore. Sunpaw wouldn't be wreathed in the scents of Rosemary and Lavender. She wouldn't look asleep. She would look as she died. Eye's glazed, mouth open, fur bristled, and knotted. Three large scars bore on her back. Applepaw looked at the sky. Angrily. She hated StarClan. They have brought this to her. And now, she was alone in her Clan. Sure, she had her mentor, but she had no family here. They were all in StarClan. Well, all except Sunpaw. Applepaw turned her gaze back to her beloved sister, and she closed Sunpaw's eyelids with a paw;closed her mouth. Applepaw then began to groom her sister for the last time. Thorns piercing her heart with each lick. Oh Sunpaw! She wailed inwardly. I'm sorry! If it wasn't for her, she thought, this wouldn't have happened. Sunpaw would be alive, with her.
