I love the rock version of One winged angel! It's the version from advent children.

One-Winged Angel gave me chills the first time I beat FF7.. everyone should pick up Nobuo's piano collections for FF7. It has: Tifas Theme, FF7 Main Theme, Shinko De Chocobo, Ahead On Our Way, Those Who Fight, Valley Of The Fallen Star, Gold Saucer, Farm Boy, Rufus Welcoming Ceremony, J-E-N-O-V-A, Aeriths theme, One-Winged Angel, and Descendent Of Shinobi, all performed by Nobuo on his piano. I think it can be downloaded on an FF7 fan site if you look.

Nobuo Uematsu has retired, and it saddnes me. I don't blame him however. If I worked for Squaresoft and they merged with Enix and formed Square-Enix I would retire too. Enix is only good for Star Ocean. I love all of his work though. It broke my heart that he did none of the music for Final Fantasy: Last Order. (The anime prelude on the Japanes Advent Children DVD.)

I like the beginning song, especially when... Advent Children SPOILER! -> they play it at the beginning of Advent Children, when Nanaki roars up on the cliff. That gave me the shivers... 3nodding

Oathkeeper_Oblivion There is no match to an orchestrated One Winged Angel. It is the coolest song in existence. YES....and ALL of the OWA's are so cool!!! AND unbeatable! xd whee

I love One-Winged Angel but I have to say Aeris's Theme brings chills to this day. The brilliance of Uematsu will be greatly missed here. I wish that there was a orchestrated version of Kingdom Baron (FFIV.) Also I disagree with Enix being good only for Star Ocean. The Dragon Warrior series has always been top-notch. Also maybe we could see a revival of the Actraiser series.
Another point? Where is the Prelude on the list? It deserves to be there and I know a few people that would pick it as the best song.

I've got music from I, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2. I'd have to say I like the japanese versions of the songs from X and X-2 best. Especally Rikku's songs. Rikku is my second all time favorite ff character (Cloud is first of course) and is my favorite female character so I'm in love with her and her music. wink But from FFVII I like the chocobo and the turk's theme best.

Nobu is really remarkable. Out of the list my favorite is the staff roll and One Winged Angel. I also like the orchestrated/piano version of the battle theme it sounds awesome and the winning theme cellphone thing in the ADVC movie was hilarious. 3nodding
