The allies.

I didn't ask whos side they were on, but who they fought.
Nevertheless you are right. And in both wars the Allies sought American help before America was even involved. The "Celts" were fighting with the British and usually under their command during both wars.

Oliver Cromwell, Charles Edward Stuart, Douglas Haig...I could go on, but I'm betting money that these references are flying over your head.

Oliver Cromwell,English man now for being Lord protecter of england scotland and ireland.Known to us scots as being a ruthless dictator but he got his after he died he was dug up hung in chains and beheaded.Charles Edward Stuart,Known to scots as Teàrlach Eideard Stiùbhairt Also as Bonnie prince charlie theres a good song I like that speaks of him called the sky boat song the corries sing it best in my opinion.Douglas Haig A general born in Edinburgh I believe was known for his strtegic mind and wining battles that led to the surrender of Germany.Anyone else you dont think I know. Also how mutch money did you lose. smile

Haig was a pompous a** who did nothing more than throw away the live of his soldiers, and "Bonnie Prince Charlie" was a fop who cared nothing for his supporters and only sought power but was too stupid to gain it.

I've not lost a red cent.

As a side note, had Haig been given free reign to do as he wished, an entire generation of British men would have been killed off in a War that Germany would have won.
It was the AEF that won the war, not France or the BEF. They had four years to break the German Defenses and only succeeded in gaining worthless ground and losing the best vantage points.

The Tommies and the Poilu wasted their valor and lives for the sake of officers who didn't honestly give two shits about them. Badly trained and badly equipped, they were thrown into a meatgrinder against a better equipped and trained military. Those who did care for their men became the victims of politics.

No matter how much you argue, unless Petain is involved, the truth remains that the allies in WWI were badly managed.

And again I say the English are stupid politacal fools. However the Americans where not anytime we entered into the war the war turned into are favour because we had good soldiers equipment and generals.Better then the germans did.

No. No you didn't.
Flamethrowers, Gas shells, widespread Hydro-pnematic recoil guns, standardized uniforms and metal helmets, Machine guns for every fire team, the Germans had you guys beat three ways from sundown.

Haig, a scottsman, kept trying to break the line for his beloved cavalry to take the field.
The Germans had abandoned cavalry by 1915 and were already working on combined arms warfare, making them effectively three steps ahead of the BEF.
Your tanks? pieces of crap you ignored after the war until the Panzer made you realize your err.

all the weapons you said the Americans had or if they didnt they soon did.as for tanks yes the germans had better tanks ill freely admit that even in world war 2 the tiger tank could kill 4 shermans before they could kill it.

....Dude, the Americans were equipped by the Frnch when they got there.
All that s**t she said? The Germans had that in 1915, 3 years before the Americans got there.
