I was having fun making up things on the way whenever I had to tell you guys that I was going to be gone for a few days 3nodding (not to mention creating the map for the RP...though it didn't have much of a scale)

Just to bump this up...been helping Chibicid out with the thread. I've finished up to page 40, but one problem for me continuing is that page 41 is not working, for there says a message that it's currently being archived and to try again later. I'll continue from page 42, but there'll be a big gap since I know that page 41 has continued on from page 40, so I'll leave that gap there as a "reserved for page 41" as I continue helping with the transfer 3nodding

Garrr, Rubicant is so inconsistent in his posts! He left all these irritating holes in the story. Grrrrrr..... (now I remember why I decided to temporarily stop at the point I did....) I'm going to try to work around it, but let me know if you guys have any ideas about what to do with this...this Rubicant.

After Naoko guides everyone through some more mazes, they encounter a "true battle". Each character bonds with their amulets some more as they fight dragons. Naoko finds the strongest one and takes it into the void, biding her time to complete a powerful spell. Meanwhile, everyone else is fighting hardily, but eventually they all find themselves down on their luck. Just when they think it's about to end, Naoko slays her dragon with the powerful spell she was casting on her katana. All the dragons disappear in a puff of smoke, or melt into the shadows, mere ghosts and illusions. Shuichi however, was not attacked by the dragons - they avoided harming him despite his attempts to attack them. He contemplates this, before rejoining the group.
Naoko teleports herself and the others to a secure location within the temple, affording them a place to rest and heal their wounds. As everyone rest, eats, or stares entranced by the blue crystal walls of the room they are in, Shuu feels compelled to walk in a certain dirrection, and leaves the group, heading down the hall. Naoko and Phey take note of it separately, Phey following him, and Naoko staying behind when her mother explains it's just the songs of the next sealed off room calling him. Baikasu mumbles in his sleep that they need to run and get out, after which Naoko leaves to look for Shuu, seeing that he hasn't retuned yet.
When Naoko finds Shuu, he is staring blankly, expressionless, and moving about in a mechanical fashion. He finally reaches the room at the end, the crystal pedistal in its center his destination. He stops and turns, knowing something is there. When Naoko tries to hide herself in the void, she is pulled out of it by Shuu, but teleports herself over to him and pins him to the ground. Shuu tries to shoot her, but she points the gun away from them, then curses her brother and sinks into Shu to eliminate the problem. Phey witnesses it all, and runs down the hall to get the others. Shuu, meanwhile, screams, conscious of the two beings within him. Through some innate ability, he forces the two entities out of his body, and seems to crack, pointing his gun at the stranger while muttering, then screaming "kill".
Shao was worried back at their make-shift camp. He wanted to go after Naoko, but his amulet warned him that he would be leaving Daewyn and Baikasu unprotected, so he remained, watching over them.
Enter Gwyn, on his trusty mount Carana.((Sorry, couldn't resist wink )) He leaves Carana at the enterance, promising he will be back soon, and heads into the temple, speaking with his amulet, Kain, and using it to detect a disturbance. Leaning on a wall, he waits for some people whom he's trailing to show up.
Shu shoots wildly at the intruder, but keeps missing, eventually turning to charging his guns. The Amulet warns him that he will destroy the temple if he uses that energy at its greatest extent here, but he continues none the less, beginning to pull the trigger in rage. His power is so strong, he is distorting time and gravity within the temple, and all his comrades felt it. Naoko approaches him, avoinding the shots, and finally getting within and arms reach of him. He fires, however, and Naoko absorbs it into the void, and takes the full impact of it herself, disappearing without a trace, save for the blue ribbon from her hair lying on the ground.
Back at camp, Phey explains the situation to Shao.
Shuichi is overcome by rage again, but not of the insane kind from before. The pain is brought to a focus when he mentions the word wings, and a flood of fragmented images assail his mind. Under all of the stress, the aura around him fades, and he drops his guns, blacking out. Time and Gravity return to normal.
Naoko wakes up to a voice, and comes to realize she's at the gates of the Melbane temple. Recalling what happened, she turns at the voice that coaxed her out of her unconscious state, the voice of her brother. She suspiciously asks Dante why he pulled her out of the void - why he saved her. He tells her she knows why, and she realizes it is because her companions will die without a Melbane in the temple. Dante tells her that he's merely helping her out, and that she shouldn't get involved with mortals that will betray her. When she asks him why he hates mortals so much, he disappears, noting that someone has broken the seal and entered the town again.
At hearing voices, Gwyn exits the temple to find Naoko. His amulet tells him that she is teh mistress of the void, and he asks her why she is there.
Back in the temple, everyone rushes to the collapsed Shuu, hoping to aid him. Upon reaching him, they all find out that it is the next test, one to see if they can call upon the powers of their amulets to the strength predicted in the prophecy. Their amulets tell them that each party member will be isolated and tested - that's when Shuu notices Baikasu is not present. Everyone rushes to go find Baikasu, but Daewyn gets left behind and Tera begins to test her, swallowing her into the ground.
Suspicious of Gwyn, Naoko asks him how he broke the seal, wondering if it was the same way some excavators had gotten into her precious hometown.
Phey notices Daewyn is missing, then tries unsucessfully rouse Shuu. When she can't wake Shu, she tries to run after and catch up to Rubicant and Shao, only to find two halls going in the opposite dirrection where the blue room used to be. Her amulet tells her she is being tested, and she follows giggles into a red room. When she enters, the door slams shut behind her and it goes pitch black.
When Shao and Rubicant reach the blue room, Baikasu isn't there. Shao grudgingly admits they should try to stick together, and the two head back down the hall, only to find it sealed off.
Phey tries to light a flame in the darkness, when she recognizes the smell of gas. Trying to stop it, it's too late, and she's suddenly engulfed in a world of fire. The walls and exits disappear, turning to a realm of flame. As everything seems to become scorched, her amulet tells her fire is her ally, and she looks to her hands, realizing they merely glow a hot red, intense with pain and heat.
When Shuichi comes to, he is speaking with Auubi, who tells him he has failed the test due to external intervention. When Shuu called upon Auubi's powers, it awakened a new power withing Shuu, and he was forced to black out for lack of control of it. He tells Shuu he must master this power, and that failure was not his fault, but that at the moment he needed to wake up and help his friends - they were being tested.
Daewyn struggled underground, unable to move. She realized she could breathe, and came to the conclusion that Tera had gotten her out of the mess before, but now she just needed to command Tera's powers to survive. Focusing on the amulet, the stone around her turned sandy, soon like liquid, and she easily swam to the top, where she played with the vine armor and twisted it to points at the end, playing with her new power. Tera tells her to rest, and she quickly falls asleep, guardian watching over her.
As Shao and Rubicant walk the halls, Rubicant irritates him and he punches Rubicant on the back of the head. "Rubicant" disintegrates into a puddle of water, which then splashes harmlessly onto the floor. Realizing he too had been isolate, Shao tries to rush on to find Baikasu, but when he steps on the puddle, he falls through it into a bottomless body of water. When his amulet doesn't answer, and he finds he cannot swim to the top, Shao focuses on his amulet, and it begins to glow. Moving his hands in a circular motion, a bubble forms and grows. Leaping into it, he spits out all the water he can and takes a deep breath of air, finding himself back in the hallway. Before him sits a humongous frog, who introduces itself as Chao, the water god. Chao says that Shao passed his test, then literally leaps into Shao, who becomes dizzy.
Pharoah Phey stands up, realizing that though it had burned her posessions and melted her guns, the fire had not damaged her. Reaching for where the doorway once had been, she grabs an invisible doorknob and opens the door. Her amulet congradulates her, and tells her she has passed the test. It also tells her that she must leave the hallway and rejoin her group because the hallway is going to collapse. Embarassed that she has no clothes, and protesting, Phey dashes down the hall on all fours. Just as she reaches the blue room, the entire hall behind her collapses. She pulls her knees to her chest, banters with her guardian a bit, and finds the amulet that had been burned into her hand pops right out of her eyepatch again.
Shuichi uses Auubi's power to jump back in time and see what he missed. He notes Phey is the closest to him, but discovers that Auubi has lost a critical amount of power. Auubi, essentially, is dying from over-exerting himself without resting, as the other amulets have done. Shuu asks how to save Auubi, who then tells him there is a viable way.
Back outside the temple, Gwyn eases up, realizing Naoko is not an enemy. He also explains that he came because his amulet told him to do so.
Shuichi lets Auubi guide him out of the temple, rushing as fast as he can. Trying to reach the forest, Auubi tells him he needs to find a living organism to fuse to, so that he can get enough power to continue on.
Naoko accepts Gwyn's explanation, and clarifies her own identity as a half-Melbane. She explains that the man who just disappeared is her brother, and that Gwyn's amulet must have part of the stone used to break the seal. She hears the cries for help and screams, and wonders if she can help her comrades. Her mother explains that only elders could unlock the secrets of the temple, and that she could not help her re-enter the temple - once one exited, they could not return back into the temple. She leads Gwyn into one of the houses so that they can stay alive, away from the wrath of ghosts.
Shao finds out that he will take further tests to find out if he is worthy as an amulet bearer, but that he has passed this one. He discovers that other tests will be group oriented from his amulet, and heads off to find the others when the temple gives off a forboding tremble. Soon he is joined by Daewyn, who asks what is happening.
Shao finds a coyote, which is unusual in this area, and fuses the amulet with it's sleeping form. When he places the amulet on the coyote's head, it gives off a flash, and the canine turns a black-ish gray-ish. It stands, and instructs Shuichi to keep the amulet, with the voice of Auubi. The two hurry back toward the temple, seeing it shake and hoping to save their comrades.
Meanwhile, Naoko and Gwyn sit in one of the Melbane homes. Naoko notices a large demonish thing, and sits quietly, singing a poem in Melbane tongue, not knowing of the power it held as she sang is over and over.
As Shuu and Auubi run through the temple, Shuu notices a crystal in his forehead, as well as the coyote's forhead. It gives off a glow, and Auubi explains that is a link between them. He tells Shuichi that its glowing is guiding them to the other amulet bearers, and that it will be far more useful in the future.
Baikasu, having been dragged through a wall, faced off with a lightning dragon. Using the power of Kasiko, he slays the beast, then uses the power in combination with a grenade to blow up the wall and return to the blue room. He runs into Shuichi there, and they agree that they need to get out of the temple quickly. Shuichi notices the injuries that Baikasu sustained in his battle, and quickly heals them. Auubi then teleports the three out of the temple.
Gwyn wakes up and stares at Naoko, saddened at the thought that the Melbane race will die off after Naoko's generation of two had passed. He grows frustrated that the two of them are sitting outside while Naoko's friends are caught in the temple. Going outside to Carana, he tells the dragon they are going back to the temple.
Shuichi uses his newly found power to locate Phey and teleport to her. Realizing she is naked, he turns around in embarassment and asks what happened to her clothes, despite the collapsing temple around them.
Stuck outside, Baikasu makes a small camp in the nearest house, setting out food and canteens.
A chunk of pillar falls and frightens Phey so much that she latches onto Shuichi's back and exclaims "can we please get out of here!?" Shuichi tries not to pay attention to their situation and teleports them out.
After searching for a bit, via use of the amulet, Shuichi locates Shao and Daewyn, who almost trample him to death.
Outside, Baikasu offers Phey a seat by the fire, food, and a drink. Before he notes her lack of clothes. Blushing slightly he asks what happened to her stuff.
Waking, Naoko notices her amulet glowing a strange green. A voice tells her she has been chosen to destroy this temple. When she confronts it, saying it's not her mother, the voice affirms that, saying her mother has become part of the void in order to comfort Naoko for the time being. The voice identifies itself as Daemon, the true master of the void and Naoko's servant. After Naoko undergoes a magic girl transformation into her priestess dress sphere(Sorry Ayame, couldn't help it. You will see omake art of this later XD), Daemon says something about her awakening a seal piece she was looking for, and that the jewel calls to her now. She then disappears in a dark light.
Shu teleports the Shao and Daewyn out. Once he's out with them however, he can't help but be puzzled, thinking that they forgot something in the temple. He wonders what they were supposed to get in the first place, and wonders where Naoko is, after Auubi congradulates him on rescuing everyone. Ahao also asks where Naoko is. Phey hides behind a bush, and asks where Rubicant is. Shao jokes that Rubicant may not have passed his test.
Naoko, within the temple, goes through a ritual, studying archaic texts and scriptures on the wall, and "opening the light" as Daemon instructs her to. She remembers nothing.
Gwyn finds the group of Naoko's friends, just as he is about to re-enter the temple. Landing and introducing himself, he asks who they are to confirm their identities. Phey says hi and introduces herself from the bushes, then asks if the dragon is Gwyn's friend. Daewyn is awed by the dragon and knight, but notices Phey and produces a shirt and pants to try and help with the clothing situation. Shao asks if Gwyn knows where Naoko is.
Naoko is plunged into darkness, the true void. Daemon tells her it is the source of the temple. A single light shines at her from afar, and she chases it's retreating image, not realizing that each step makes the temple shake more.
Phey hugs Daewyn after dressing, and Daewyn offers to get some better clothes at the next town they stop by. Shuichi begins introducing himself when he realizes Naoko's in the temple. Trying to teleport, Auubi explains that he has deplete his power and needs to rest. When Shuichi shouts that they need to do something, Shao runs back to the temple, only to find the enterance gone. Gwyn answers that Carana is a loyal friend, and that Naoko couldn't be in the temple, he was just with her in a house a moment ago (Soooo incriminating XP). Then he notices that everyone's amulets look like his.
Naoko paused when she thought she heard Shuichi's voice, but Daemon urges her onward. Then she notices her clothes. Daemon explains that she is a descendant of the void, and Daemon's descendant in essence. Realizing that that is why she must undergo this test, she sighs, wondering why she didn't see the answer to the riddle in the first place. Whispering the words of her most powerful spell, she cast it on the ground, Sudden Rain. Having acquired the jewel, She smiles to herself, oblivious of the pair of amber eyes that witnessed it all. Suddenly she turns around to see her comrades.
When Gwyn asks Naoko what happened to her, recalling leaving her in the house, she only stares, then looks away, confessing that she does not know. Gwyn offers some help/sympathy saying "If you ever need a Knight, just whistle, and I'll be there." Naoko politely declines the offer, then asks if everyone is alright. Everyone rushes Naoko with questions, but Shao realizes how tired she is. After they all offer replenishing items, he suggest that a few of them head to the river and try to get some fish.

Oh my goodness! Started at 11:30, and look what happens. I got carried away. I almost spelled the word "bush" "Boosh" when Phey was hiding behind one. XP Again, it's a first draft, so I'll go through and correct grammar/edit/spelling later. I almost put a lot of snarky comments in toward the end there - MAGIC GIRL TRANSFORMATION NAOKO!!!! XD

I think Ayame's going to smack me over the head, or somehow get revenge for that one ^^;;; Oh well. Oh yeah... when you're doing this at one thirty in the morning after a day of studying... well, Gwyn and Ayame, some of those scenes sound pretty incriminating....
Yes, you can all try to beat me up for this *smirk* Because there will be omake comics of this later XD XD XD XP Whee, okay, sleepy tired braindead off to bed.

*coughs* Pretty good summary. Only correction that I see is that Gwyn's dragon is Caranar, not Carana. It probably was a copy/paste error on my part, as Caranar has some accents and notepad just smushes it into one block >.<
Oh yes...um...it'd be nice if anybody can continue on the timeline that's on the 1st page. I keep on forgetting where I'm at to add it in.... sweatdrop sweatdrop

Regarding the most recent Naoko/Reika/Sion post in RP1: Am I to assume that Naoko's little Juicy Fruit spell (Remember those 80s commercials? "The taste the taste the taste is gonna move ya!" They had snowboarders and everything, so you know it was for real!) brought the girls to wherever Reika is? And if so, how long did it take - that is, how long would Nida have for internal exposition?
