Well, the movies looks differant from other people's perspectives, so I don't blame you for thinking it's a good movie... but I pin-pointed many reasons why a Book fan of P&TO would hate the movie: 1. Annabeth is supposed to have a tan, stormy grey eyes and blonde hair 2. Grover is supposed to have acne problems, wear a rasta cap, and have a "limp" when he walks 3. The story-line was screwed up (Percy got Tyson's shield..blah, blah, blah) 4. They are supposed to be 12, NOT FRICKEN 20 year olds 5.The big house is futuristic (Automatic doors?)
There's alot of more reasons why the book fans won't like the movie, but SOME could depending on their perspective.

FPB, When you're watching a movie based on a book, pretend you never read it. You'll be able to enjoy to more instead letting your mind point out its faults.

Despite all the cut-out scenes-that-were-originally-in-the-book, I really like it.
@VivaciousDysphoria: I think you're right. Most of the people I know who haven't read the book LOVED IT (partly because they think Logan Lerman is smokin, but that's beside the point), and some, NOT ALL, people who I know have read the book don't like it.

I saw it and I agree, IT WAS HORRIBLE. For the people who haven't seen it only go and see it if you can watch it just as a movie and through the books out the window for a few hours. I went through the first half of the movie wanting to kill myself but the second half I stoped comparing it to the book and thought it was pretty good.
