"...How annoying. If everyone here treats newcomers like this, then this Institute has a lot to work on as far as manners go. Ignoring people is definitely not the way to go...seriously. Since noone here seems to want to help me out, I'll just walk around the Institute until I know what's going on, and it's not my fault if I cause trouble while I'm there." Iluday gives an arrogant snort to the group of people gathered around the golem, then makes for the Institute. He didn't actually think they were really that rude, but a lesson could do them some good.

: Upon finally coming out of her state of shock, Varian blushed deeply when she heard the newcomer's comment of rudeness. She hurried after him. "Oh, Sir, I am very sorry. I did not mean to ignore you; I am Varian. I am in charge of showing new students and residents around the school and town. I would be glad to show you around the Institute and get you and your friend set up with rooms if you would like." She paused, her usual radiant smile faltering slightly as a hopeful glint manifested in her eyes. "But...would you mind horribly if I stick around to watch whatever it is that is happening? I am quite intrigued by this day's events..." She blushed again and gave him a shy smile as she adjusted her book under her arm. :

Iluday turns back around, giving Varian a large grin. "Ah ma'am, your hospitality speaks well of you, especially after my outburst. I'm afraid I spoke rashly to you, and I'm sorry. Please, take your time, it'd be a pleasure to wait for you ma'am." Iluday bows, then scoots off outta the way, sitting down and taking a load off while he waits for the business her to be finished up. "Heh, who would'a known I had the person I was looking for standing right here the whole time...I really need to work on these temper and rudeness problems of mine..." Iluday trails off to a mumble as he finishes talking to himself.

Forge was large. Very large. Forge was also blonde, spoke little English, and the little he spoke was littered with grammatical errors, slang, and a heavy Nordic accent.
That being said, he wasn't easily singled out as a man of intellect, wisdom, or insight. He was usually regarded as the muscle; a meat-shield, persay. In any case, despite his full plate he had a distinct sense of pride, simplistic outlook on life, and an extremely honed perception.
When the man mocked him, it struck like a brick.
Forge snarled, clenching his hands into white-knuckled fists. The titanium Golem slowly stood to its feet, looming dangerously over Forge.
Something inside him sounded a little alarm, and he took a deep breath.
When he spoke, his tone sounded predatorial under his raspy, bass voice. "Din ah s'pose the beach be under ye watch, euro-trash."
With that, Forge strode away with his vicious intent in check.

: Varian beamed and nodded in thanks to him before walking back to the crowd. It was slowly starting to disperse; first the shaman lady, then the rude man that had created the large beast. She stood next to the elven man. "Hi, welcome to The Institute. I am Varian; I will be the one showing you around when you are ready. You too, Sir." She said to the man that came with a disclaimer. Varian looked at him slightly quizically, "Umm...Maybe I misunderstood, but is there going to be some kind of a fight here?" She divided her attention between the two men and extended her smooth, almost rubbery hand to the Night One first, still waiting for a response from either. :

"Forgive me, friend." Shoryue said, not shifting his gaze. "I meant not to insult you... and considering the magnitude of the heat signature, I darenot chase away the one potential ally that could do me good. My name is Shoryue." He said in a warm, strangely inviting tone, "I'd shake your hand, but at this point, it may hurt a little," he added, indicating the glowing blue appendage at his side. He knew deep in his mind that a conjuror of such conductors would serve well in the maelstrom he so hastily assumed inherent and moreover he knew the cost of choosing what is fun over what is wise.

Mi'Thia hopped down off of the outcropping of rocks above the footpath. A little while down this path and she'd find herself walking down the road to the city, she knew. There'd be people there; humans more likely than not, and all of them noisy.

::There's not much I can do to avoid this though:: she thought to herself, ::I need things in town, and people are in town.::

If there was a way to avoid it though, she surely would. Sometimes she could get people to bring things to her, but the selection was often limited, the delivery unreliable.

Ardra's lips twitched upward into a smile, her fingers brushing along the top of one of the large leaves of the tree resting in the corner of her house. There had never been anyone telling her not to do such things. The entire support beam in that corner had been replaced by the tree, and she cared for it every day just as she paid care to each and every other plant that found its home in her home. It was nice to be so comfortable in the city, she mused, as her fingers brushed agianst a fern that had taken residence underneath the table made out of a willingly given plank of wood. The tree had been near death, and she'd not been in time to do much but it had left her with a wonderful parting gift. The table took up a small portion of the living area, and was low to the ground. The floor itself was covered with a thick spongey type of moss, almost passing as carpet, and it was what she sat on.

Although she stopped to often to touch the plants she'd finally made her way to the pantry, where she checked her supplies and decided it was finally time for a run to the nearest store. A sweater was put on, forest green in color, making sure it hung on her frame enough that she was pleased with it. It would work for a quick trip simply to buy some groceries. Tucking her hair behind her defined ears, she slid her feet into the green sandals at the door and made her way out onto the street. Her house rested on the edges of the town, as she could deal with the city but perfered to be closest to nature. This was the ideal place. With her eyes cast down and her head bowed she made her way towards the store.

Forge halted his steps at hearing Shoryue's words. He mulled over them carefully, but gleaned no ill-intent. He heard the unfortunate clerk speak as well, and after thinking a moment, spoke.
"Woman, thar be trouble comin', ye best gather dis island's defenses." He shifted his gaze to Shoryue. "Ah be waitin' with you, iffin you be holdin' yer forked tongue." Forge grimaced and rolled his shoulders, his massive sinewy biceps cording ominously with the movement.
"If a scrap do be comin', din ah best be preparin', yah?"
At that, Forge continued walking away to look for Golem materials.

Once she reached the edges of the city, Mi'thia tried to avoid running carelessly into any of the people walking around. It was early, and so not many people were awake yet. She'd been up since the first signs of stiring before dawn of course, so she seemed more awake than most. Some people seemed to mistake her for a child heading to school if they didn't pay too much attention, due to her height, and she didn't correct them. They protected their young, of course, and it let her pass by easily.

Going over her list in her head, she realised that her first stop would be to at least a mild into town. The wood of her trees was very sturdy, but occassionally she needed to accentuate the natural living wood with things made by the hands of the living to make it functional and comfortable, both. Her favorite seat, perched on a high platform that was unblocked by branches, finally had worn too thin. Woven fibers from the flora worked only so long, and Mi'Thia was a tad partial to the cotton fabric cushions.

The walk wasn't that bad, and she was glad to see that the shop was already open. She'd come too early in the past, forgetting that the humans that owned it did not have the same circadian cycle as she. It was a bit dimly lit inside, but the door was propped open to let in a bit of fresh air. There were small favors in that, she supposed.

Ardra's mind was off in a completely different direction then what she was doing as she walked, her eyes slightly distant as she took one shuffling step after another. The world was so different from what it once had been that she had trouble keeping up with things. It mattered very little to her what happened, but when she needed to visit the town she wanted to know what was going on so she might be able to understand some of the casual gossip that floated from person to person. She'd listen, store away the knowledge for future use, and then she'd attempt to make sense of what she heard while walking the streets. The world changed, and yet she continued to live on through and through the events that were happening. I was a slightly reassuring thought, at the moment, that she could more then likely live through anything much like a cockroach was known for doing.

Because of Ardra's lack of attention she failed to notice that she'd passed the store and moved much further into the city then intended. And she only realized this when she hit a wall of flesh, who's name was Forge, and bounced off if it to land on her back side blinking her almond green eyes in surprise. She'd been out of it so far as not to notice that lumbering mass was in front of her! What a fool that made her!

It is at this point that Iluday, who had already been sitting, waiting for everybody to finish up, begins rolling around on the ground, laughing hysterically. He'd seen the whole thing, but before he could say anything, it'd been to late, and the poor girl had already run straight into the giant of a man. Standing up and brushing himself off, he walks on over to the poor girl; he couldn't help but feel sorry for her, since it wasn't really her fault. Reaching down a hand to help Ardra up, he tries to give her a kind smile, but eventually, it just sinks into his usual roguish grin. "You took quite a fall there ma'am, need a hand up?"

Cenuva had long since slipped from behind Iluday in order to get a better look at the growing crowd and the enraged characters infront of him and was watching intently so really he heard rather then saw the young lady move beside him, when she spoke up he turned to peer down at her from under his hood smiling warmly at the girl. "Wonderful to meet you Varian." He took her hand in his own gloved one and shook it warmly. "Cenuva Loquita"
Casting a glance over Shoryue and nodding in form of greeting at the male.
Before he had chance to inform the lady of his name and his new job, if they accepted him, the large brute of a beast spoke up. Trouble? For Petes sake, I knew it was a stupid idea to leave the safety of London. Bloody Humans...

"Right... no point me telling you that I've been called to help with the reconstruction of greenery then.." He muttered wrinkling his nose.

Forge blinked and looked at the man who had offered his hand. "Ah got it." He batted the man's hand away lightly, and then gripped the woman roughly by the nape of her shirt, hauling her for a moment off the ground, and then setting her none-to-gently on her feet. He eyed her for a moment, noticing her elven curves and features. "Vat be yer name?" His voice was bass and heavily accented from his Norse homeland.

"Ah..." the words had started to come from her mouth when the man had offered his hand, the one that she'd not run into, but she'd been interrupted from saying thanks and taking the kind offer by being pulled up by the nape of her shirt and then suspended in air for a moment before landing on her shakey feet. Her eyes widened agian as her gaze flicked towards the one who'd lifted her and then they moved tothe one who'd offered her the hand. After getting a glance of each her eyes moved the the ground and she dipped her head slightly in thanks.

"I am sorry for being so absentminded as to..." she paused for a moment, attempting to think of the a word "inconvience you. My name is Ardra." Her head dipped lower, as if to thank them agian.
