Kasen aimed his dark claw at the arrangement of crystals which were sent to end his life and focused the reiatsu at the interior of the claw and released it as it changed its tips into the form of a wolf. The wolf growled as it collided with the crystals, however Hinata was relentless as he decided to finish this once and for all. "Awaken the Beast!" Kasen shouted as he held his blades up as his stinger fell from his hand and created a flaming explosion as he had run out of reiatsu to keep his shikai ignited and burning darkness, however he had enough for his final strike.
Kasen appeared out of the flames with a black claw slashing at the sword at his right which rippled and destroyed his hand as he bled while he continued to secondary strike. Bringing his claw out, he slashed at her side as the crystal extended into his side as his beastly werewolf form growled as he turned back into his human form breathing hard as his hand was pierced by the spear and his left hand was still in her side. His hand was was dripping blood as he couldn't feel his hands anymore.
Kasen fell backwards as he stared at the sky with pale eyes as he wasn't going to lose his life somewhere outside his captain's eyes. "You are a tough one Hinata, but I cannot die nor can I lose...." Kasen said as he used his bleeding left hand to pull out a deck of cards and threw them into the air as they didn't require any reiryoku, but just his touch would allow them to react. A large explosion of darkness and fire roared as the area around Kasen ignited with black flames.

(( Sorry for this very late post... I didn't go on the computer for 3 days because I had so much work gonk ))
Hinata watched the stinger drop and combust- in a split second, she had gathered all the crystal needles from her previous attack to form a durable shield- effectively avoiding being blast off her feet by the explosion. Just as it broke into shards with the force of the impact, an ominous figure loomed out of the flames- it was Kasen in his wolf form, his claws slashing past the array of crystals to sink their way into her ribcage. She winced; warm blood was now flowing freely from the fresh wounds. Tearing away, she clutched her bleeding side, her vision fazing out for a second before focusing determinedly. She was lucky- her concentrated reiryoku automatically started clotting her wounds, slowly stopping the flow of blood.
But that was not all her opposition had in store for her. The injured girl had scarcely regained her balance when Kasen fumbled for something in his coat. There was a flash of white, then the whole area around her appeared to ignite. Roaring hot flames and darkness were upon her in a blink- and though she flash-stepped into the air fast enough not to be overcome by them, she still received relatively serious burns up her right leg. Letting out a tired sigh, she looked upon her adversary. She could tell Kasen had spent his energy on those attacks- his eyes became unfocused, then he fell to the ground with a faint thud.
To be honest, she was not in the greatest of conditions either. As she slowly lowered herself to the ground where the flames could not reach her, she felt her limbs trembling from the effort of flash-stepping in such a condition. As soon as she touched upon the ground, the crystals all dissipated, and what was left of the reiryoku in them gushed back into her body. It wasn't enough to heal the dire wounds in her side, but at least it healed her aching muscles. Her zanpaktou automatically re-sealed itself to preserve her reiryoku stores.
It was only then that Hinata felt something catch in her throat- she doubled over coughing up blood. It appeared that Kasen's claws had penetrated deeper than she would have thought- great. That probably meant another overnight stay at the fourth division. Sighing in annoyance, she wiped a trail of blood from her mouth, heading over in Kasen's direction.
"Hey, you awake?" She waved her hands over his blank eyes. "Seriously. I wasn't intending to kill you..."

Kasen was nearly unconscious as he dreamt of a dark nightmare as he lied on the ground with the flames burning around him. "What's the matter Kasen? Scared?!" A figure told him as the person laughed insanely as Kasen looked around to see a forest set ablaze with black flames. The figure pointed behind itself to see Evil on the ground bleeding heavily, Aislinn's blade bloody with Kasen on the ground coughing up blood. "Welcome, to the End... Where you have failed to completely save those you love, killed by those you considered family, your friends are nowhere to see you in your dying moments, this is where you realize Death has come for you!" The figure shouted at him as a cackling laugh roared above the flames. "I am fear, I am your embodiment of death, I am Kaosu!" His zanpakuto mocked him as it raised its hands and mimed a stabbing as Kasen looked at Aislinn who looked at him with a smile only the queen of arrancars smiled.
Kasen opened his eyes to see Hinata over him. "I'm fine...." Kasen said as the crystals disappeared from his body, however the piercing damage would stay until he could reach squad four, which would usually scold him for being reckless or beating up his own squad members in a spar. Kasen smirked as he laid on the ground as he commanded his flames to stop as calmed down into oblivion.
"I couldn't win, I used up everything I had, and lost..." Kasen thought as he never expected anything like this, and it made him happy. He loved meeting the other people in this big world of theirs, and seeing how they battle made him better for he wanted to learn from others. "I guess I cannot beat you, for now..." Kasen said as he brought his torn up body up and grabbed his resealed blade and put it at his waist. "Kaosu is getting stronger, with more doubt in me, the more darkness is in my heart and him..." Kasen thought as the strange vision of a dream made him worry very much now. "Shall we go to squad 4?" Kasen asked as he coughed up blood which dripped onto the ground.

Hinata gave a wan smile as Kasen commented that he was not able to beat her.
"For now," she repeated. "You- and your zanpaktou, of course- have a great potential to become strong. Only then will you truly master your shikai- it took me years. And when you think you can beat me out of my position, do come and try," she chuckled, patting Kasen on the back as he coughed blood. "Now, we'd better get ourselves fixed."
Leading the way from the training field, she headed in the direction of the Fourth Division, her zanpaktou clasped at her side.
"Oi, you know, you forgot your hairpins, idiot." Hinata chose to ignore this comment. She didn't really care.
[Exit to 4th Division]
