A woman, strangely dressed like a man almost, came up to Damien and asked what he could drink. He had asked for a rum that was well known to the East, though it might have not been around here so sparingly. He almost debated on getting a different drink, something like beer or even some tequila. He decided to go ahead and ask for the rum. He was now quietly sipping it down. Even though he was a fairly new vampire, he had already grown bored with the human tastes of the world, blood was something that he desired most.

Alanis went into Alice's room at an early time to make sure she was okay. She wasn't sure if it was something she was supposed to do, but it was per Alice's father's request. After a bit, she noticed that Alice was silent and asleep, so she busied herself with making sure that breakfast was set ready in case Alice woke up. I wonder if that man will come back, Alanis thought to herself as she kept busy.

A moment later, Alex staggered in through the front door, looking incredibly weary from the fight. Alex had numerous cuts across his arms and chest, which had been crudely bandaged. "Damn red devils" Alex muttered. "Knew they were outnumbered and still wouldn't surrender" he added, sighing, slumping against a wall, trying to wipe some of the grime from his face, taking a glance at his blood soaked bandages.

((Hey sorry for not posting for a few days, I had a surprise trip going on, so I didn't get a chance to let anyone know I was leaving)) Alice had found herself, asleep on her desk with the teaching plans spread out across the table. She quickly sat herself up to find that her body had become sore during her unintentional nap. She stretched quickly, trying to relieve herself of the soreness. She then heard the noise of a door opening and closing. She quickly got up, leaving her room to investigate the scene, seeing as the door that had been opened and closed was the front one. She came upon the sight of Alex, he looked quite beat up, almost like a veteran soldier. She walked over to hear him complaining about how the 'red devils' didn't give up that easily. She grabbed a clean rag from the kitchen and walked over,"You look like you went to hell and came back", she commented.

"When dealing with the red devils, you almost have to" Alex muttered, taking a swig from his hip flask. "Bastards almost managed to scalp me a few times" he added. "Managed to cut their throats open before they managed to, though"

Did Alice enjoy hearing about these gruesome fights? Not at all, but it was still polite to ask Alex since this was his work. Besides, she had seen enough death to last her a lifetime, anymore and she may as well have blinded herself. She then proceeded to put the rag in some water that was the same temperature as inside: warm. She then got rid of the excess water and handed it to Alex to tend to the wounds. He really did look terrible. "Well thank goodness you came back alive", she said. It almost was a little strange, their conversation, and how it was being spoken about as if they were talking about today's weather.

"True enough" Alex said, starting to dab at the wounds with the rag. "I figure eventually Lady Luck will turn on me and the knife or whatever with my name on it will strike true" Alex added, shaking his head. "Think you could send for the town doctor or whatever?" Alex asked Alice. "Could use his help sewing up my wounds. Can't do it myself"

"Now don't think like that", she said in a voice that was something of a scolding covered in honey. Alex then asked her to see if she could fetch the town doctor. She would, except she didn't even think the doctor was here today, after all, he was from a larger settlement not too far from this one and would occasionally visit. "I might be able to help, I used to sew when I was younger.", she stated,"But then again, I'm not a professional", she finished.

"Sewin' skin is very different from sewin' fabric, darlin'" Alex said, shaking his head. "And not for the faint of heart or weak stomach" Alex added, sighing. "If you want to try, I won't stop you" Alex stated.

It did seem awfully frightening now that Alice thought about it. This was a living person she was going to stick a needle into, not just some piece of cloth that she could trade for another. "I-I suppose you're right", she admitted, stuttering from the faint sight of a needle actually going through his flesh. "I'll go see if the doctor is in then...", she said, almost as if she was holding back something. Of course Alice didn't really like going outside, but she at least needed some air for now, even if the weather was terrible outside.

"You do that" Alex said as he began to sew his wounds together, non-chalantly. It seemed fairly obvious that Alex had done this sort of thing before. "You need to get used to the sight of blood out here, ma'am" he added, chuckling a little.

Ashley was walking down the road in the town, wondering what was going on in her town. To the best of her knowledge, it had been kind of quiet, at least she thought so. She looked around, wondering if anyone needed her help or wanted her help.

Alanis wandered into the room while her mistress went to get the doctor and she stopped the moment she saw him. "Are you okay sir?" she asked, then shook her head, "Never mind, would you like some whiskey or anything to drink?" She tried to keep her eyes on the floor as she was trained when talking to a man, but she couldn't help but study his face.

"I'll be fine" Alex said, tuning out the serving girl a bit, focused on sewing his wounds closed. "And no. I need a steady hand to do this work" Alex added, pausing for a moment.

"Well... as a maid... I was taught to sew... and do some first aid," she offered weakly. She found she didn't like the blood, nor the thought that he had been injured, but she felt as if she had to help him in some way. "I-I'm not a doctor... but maybe I could help?"
