DM Narration :
As you continue down the corridor, it is a peaceful scene of nature which allows you to feel at ease and relaxed as you march down the path. soon, the trees began to spread out, eventually opening into a much larger clearing where a spring could be seen. the spring was about 50 ft in width, and on both sides, the earth rose up and around the back of the spring, creating two ramps that led to the mouth of a cave which was inlayed into a small mountain.

Kyoma looked through the keeping a calm face. She was amazed, but then she saw the cave near the fountain that was ahead of them. She quickly caught up to Akio and Kenji, followed by Haruko.

Once they made it in front of the spring, Haruko spoke, "Hey guys, don't you think we should at least come up with a basic plan before we head in there? I mean we don't know what troubles await us inside."

Kyoma nodded to Haruko, "Agreed. We don't know what lays ahead of us. We got to think of all possiblities before heading into that cave." She stood beside Haruko, crossing her arms as she spoke.

"Well, considering we have no idea what to expect, how much can we really plan for? Perhaps, we should all simply stick together when entering the cave at the very least. If we could find a vine somewhere around here..." Kenji looked around at the forest until he saw a small vine hanging down from one of the tree's branches.
Walking up to the tree, Kenji grabbed a hold of the vine, but instead of yanking down on it, he closed his eyes while placing his other hand on the tree trunk and began to murmur something unintelligible under his breath. Within about 10 seconds, the vine suddenly fell from the branch, and Kenji brought it over to the group. "Here we go, we can at least all hold onto this when we enter, to make sure we are all together."

Haruko blinked a few times in surprise before she smiled at Kenji in amazement, "Wow, how did you do that Kenji-san? It was such a fasinating techique."

Kyoma took a hold of the vine Kenji had suggested that they each held on to. "Yeah, how did you do that?"

"Huh?...oh you mean that", Kenji said as he pointed at the tree. Shrugging casually at the display, he really didn't have too much to say as all he did was ask the tree for it's vine..."Well, it wasn't really a technique per say, though I doubt anyone else here could have done it. I just spoke with the tree and asked if she would let us use her vine. She was more then happy to help us out. It was very nice of her, I was sure to thank her for all of us."

Kyoma smiled, " that's really cool! So does she talk to people often? Or are you the only one she can talk to?"

Haruko places a hand slight over her mouth as she muttered a quiet "Wow." She stared at both the tree and Kenji in wonder. "It's really amazing how you can do things like this Kenji-san. It's must feel alwsome being able to connect with the forest around us. I can now see why your clan is choosen specificly to guard the forests, it must be really helpful to your job if you can connect to the world around you." Haruko then turned to face the cave, "Well then, shall we get going?"

"Well, that's kind of complicated. I'm not really sure if I can explain it, but umm, well...I guess it's like having someone speak to you from a foreign country. Sure you can hear them, but if you don't know the language, then you'd have no idea what they're saying. Remember, the Soryuu Clan are the protectors of the forest, and how could we protect the trees without being able to speak to the and learn what they need?"
..."Tree language just happens to be very soft, so the normal person cannot hear it, but to a member of my clan, a tree can be heard as loud and clear as I can hear you or Haruko speaking to me, though, I do have to have contact with the tree to truly connect with it one on one."
"Does any of that make sense?...I'm sure this all sounds awfully strange, but it's second nature to me."
Kenji then turned to Haruko to respond, "Yes, it is truly an honor that my people are gifted to hear the trees, to speak with them, and be their guardians. I don't think most people can really understand the peacefulness that nature and the forests have to offer us as much as my people do...though, I'm sure that sounds arrogant."
"But yes, we should probably be on our way...this sounds like another conversation for our next meal at the Yakitori Grill!"

Kyoma gave a small nod, her face looking more serious. I'm not planning on failing this mission. She clenched her left hand before putting it back on the vine. "Ready when you guys are."
