How is he unpopular? I think your main problem is this guild is majorly made up of fangirls.... and fangirls tend to like the "Looks like a girl" characters..... which is why it seems Hiei and Kurama are the most popular. I know so many people who like Yusuke best... and I personally like Yusuke too, as well as all the other characters... Yuyu is one of the few shows where I think all of the characters are cool.

Not all people are pretty boys you cold-hearted fangirls. -grumble-
I, for one, respect Yusuke, seeing as he reminds me of my dear older brother in many ways more than one. o_o

Yusuke is much like a friend Ashira and I have in real life (If Ashira reads this, yes, im talking about Tim). He's a perverted, dumb, loveable while sometimes aggressive guy who has to take care of himself, relying on friends over family. The part where Yusuke rants to Sensui about how he was a loser all his life and now that he's a spirit detective "This is the only thing that ever made sense to me". When we were watching that episode Tim was so moved by it I wouldnt be surprised if he was crying on the inside... but he just had a huge smile and was like "That's why im Yusuke". I know it's somewhat cheesy but that's one of my favorite memories of Tim, cuz it's one of the few times he didn't do something utterly retarded. ;p
