You're right it CAN, but it doesn't always. If you're proud of a country you're more likely to want it to change for the better. I realize that in the US this is hard to see because generally when we think "patriot" we think gun-toting redneck, but on the international scale this isn't really true. I suppose it can be summed up with this quote for me:

Patriot, country, wanting to improve it...

Thorough nationalism.

Such a view is devoid of internationalism and...

APPEALS TO THE UNITY AND STRENGTH OF THE NATION.

You can't be a Communist and a patriot.

You have to be a "patriot" of the working class (so to say), not country A, B, or C.

lolno

It's simply saying that if the US invaded, I'd fight them. Doesn't mean I'd fight /for/ Canada, just /against/ the Americans.

All the CPUSA does is bow at the feet of the "liberal" bourgeois politicians. As you can see, I don't much like them, or most parties, to be frank. Most of them have no real goals or are fixated on their "leader". It's a shame really. stare

I totally feel you sister. The CPUSA is failing us. That's why I decided to join the RCP. You should check us out the link is in my sig!

I will do no such thing. Avakian wants nothing more than to be the man seen on the plate in this video.

I picked up a Maoist publication about the revolution in the Philippines. The communist movement there exploded when the U.S. came in imperial-ise-ing
they instilled a right wing dictator and then tried to kill them off. Funny, they don't really mention it in history books.

Gah... the situation there is pretty ********, from what I hear. There are Maoists fighting the government, and right wingers, right wingers and the state are slaughtering leftists...

Not good.

I know! mad
they're so violent!
I can't take it..they kills every leader of the communist party..they pretend that they will help to investigate but we all know that they are the number one suspect..

I studied there since I was in primary school and first year high school and there were still missing in the history..actually I didn't know anything of the TRUE history since I took ED about the real history of the Philippines..

I think they're the second biggest party in Russia, but that really isn't saying much because United Russia is more or less like U.S. Steel.
