"I had a feeling that something was up with your elf ears yet your hair and eyes are diffrent.." Aeria said as she cocked her head to the side having to think for a few minutes, "I would have left to. I don't think I could have handled that and besides I've meet some average elves that you couldn't trust worth a dime."

Kiri shrugs a little.
"Never been much for sneaking around to much. That's for elves and thieves it seems. How about me and the brute crash the front door and you guys can slip in behind and blast some holes in those walking corpses?"

Kiri eyed the obvious heavy fan as it made some good dents and craks in the solid ground. He kept eyeing the girl who wielded it and a new respect crept into his eyes.

He picked up her name for the first time, Aeria, he had thought her but a slip of an elf and most likely a mage of sorts. Maybe she could actually achieve more than he had thought of her.

He turned to the large man who recently came to join them.
"So, guess we are the brutes in the company. I am Kiri, training the the military academy. You are?" He asked.

Aeria stood up her arms streching above her head for a second. Picking up her fan she strapped it ot her back and sighed, "Sure sure.." She said not really into the thought of killing someone who was innocent but then again it wouldn't have been her fault.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts she fallowed the boys and Cromy up to the house, unsure of whats waiting behind the doors. Could be vampires could be humans. Either way she knew that they were in for a suprise. Getting into her attack mode she waited for the boys to do thier thing before she would do hers.

Aeria was a bit amazed at Cromy's strength. She felt like a rag doll being drug so easily. "Are we even sure this is the right house?" Aeria asked having wandered how they could tell if any vampires were in the house or not.

Inside the house, a handful of lowly vampires lounged after a good feast. The entire upper floor was sleak with blood and within hours, the stench of death would seep through the doors. Byt then of course, the vampires would have moved on.

This particular group of vampires was all "hired guns" and paid in both gold and blood. With them, they had a large golem. This one had a rune carved into it's forehead, as well as moonstone eyes. The controller of this golem would have a crystal that would show all that the golem saw.


Kiri and Gar cam up to the front door, Kiri pressed his ears to the wood and listened intensely for any sign of movement inside. As he touched the door, he heard a groan inside and the a pair of heavy footfalls on the creaking wooden floor.


The golem, with orders to keep the vampires safe and alert, reacted to the slightest change in temperature by the front door. Just as the heat signature changed in the door the slightest, it groaned it's warning from a mouth that could not be opened. It then lumbered over to the door, to tear it off its hinges and smash whoever was outside.

The steps came closer and closer, it must be a huge vampire or human at the other side, but Kiri suspected the worst.
"Stand back Gar!" He called and leaped back from teh door. "Somethign huge is coming." He shielded his eyes as wooden splinters from the doorsill came flying into the street and he saw the huge form filling the doorway.
"By the gods!" He exclaimed, leveled his spear in a defensive posture. Then he noticed the scrmabling vampires behind the golem, he thought he counted at least 4 of them.


The vampires sprang into action as the golem reached the door, but instead of opening the door, it grabbed the frame around the door and yanked it clean off. The 5 vampires inside spread out in the room, 2 of them leaping up and digging lone nails into the ceilining, ready to fly down if whoever it was managed to enter the house.

(Do note that I didn't change the time of day. The vampires have been in the house all the day, after feasting at night. Within a day, a body starts to reak so much, that it can be smelled 20-30 meters away, about the same in yards.
Also, the vampires are lounging, wich means half asleep, this is because they are not in their den this night. The golem is with them to make sure that will be alerted, just to be sure. Giving the vampires time enough to react to oncoming threats.
No vampire is a mindless monster, as seen in certain TV shows (Buffy), but with the golem present, they allowed themselves to relax more than usual. They also strategize, wich is why 2 of them try to "hide" high, to use the element of surprise as they can jump down ontop of intruders.
I am aware of both time and capabilities of the vampires, but these particular specimens are not ranked as the best, brightest or most dangerous of the kind. I suspect that even vampires are subject to a form of hierachy, where the strongest and most dominants can "enlist" the others and that the Master can order them out to do his bidding. This is not much different from most human communities, even though we like to think we are above it.)


The dagger thudded into the chest of the golem and it took a single step back. It reached a large clumsy hand up and wiped the dagger away, as it came free of it's fleshy form, it tore a chunk of flesh with it. The creature groaned again, stepped forward again.

Kirigan swirled his spear overhead and around his back, ending the motion with the spear leveled under his right arm. He lunged forward and plunged it in deep, twisted the tip and with all his weight, he jumped back tearing another chunk from the golem. He readied his spear for another strike.


The 2 gaping wound started to ooze a clear liquid, it wasn't blood excatly, but it seemed to carry it animated essence. As the spear tore a chunk out of it, it moved with a speed that it's form belied. A ball of a fist slammed into Kiris chest and sent him sprawling on the dirty street outside.

One of the vampires inside stole a glance out from behind the golem and sneered at the sight of the 2 humans.


Kiri had the air beat out his lungs, first from the massive fist and again as he landed hard on his back. He reacted quickly enough and rolled with the force of the blow and came up at a crouch. He hefted his spear again and steeled himself for a long battle ahead.

As Gar came past the golem, one of the vampires spun towards him. Fangs bared in a mockery of a smile. It drew a blade of it's own, intending to play with him a little. Another came to stand by his, outnumbering Gar.


Kiri drew one of his daggers and sent it flying, aiming at the mark in the golems head. It simply turned it's head at the incoming blade and it sank into the head where the ears would have been. Before it could turn back, he was on his slying at it with a battle cry. He burrowed the spear deep into the golem and as his feet touch the thing he twisted his entire body and wrenched the spear through the leathry body, the foul smelling ooze spraying out into the room.



As the door opened to the back alley, the remaining vampire turned it's attention to the girls there. It smiled for an instant, but realized that the girls was more able than most humans. With caution, it started towards them
