Haldir sighed slightly, glad that neither of them had really wished for him to go on. Recounting those final moments of battle was hard enough to remember, but he had never openly spoken about it to anyone. "I believe Aragorn could give you a better first hand, he was in charge after all." the Marchwarden commented.
~~~
Rumil shook his head, "We were outside." "We did not hear you yelling." Orophin continued. "Besides, it does matter." Rumil nodded, "Right, it does! Having so many children so fast... Valar, your family is going to be more busy than Lord Elrond's." "But, Sundin and Haldir II are not trickster twins." "Good point." Orophin sighed, "And think of it this way, Avian. Haldir was the oldest of us all, he was nearly an adult when you were born. He helped to raise you, wether you remember that or not." "That is right." Rumil replied. "We were still too young to raise children. We likely would have gotten you hurt or in trouble." "More... than... we... did..."
~~~
Legede pulled himself from the water. His wounds were healed, but the pain of them still lingered. The captain sat on the bank, catching his breath. "This is a good place for healing." he commented, "And it is protected by an ancient magic that stems back to the days of King Thingol and Melian." Pulling his tunic over his head, Legede proceeded to try and wring the extra water from the cloth. His eyes then settled on Talli. The captain did not realize one could breathe the water, and he thought long and hard once more about simply shoving the rogue under. "How simple it would be..." Legede whispered, his eyes locked on Talli's form as his other hand absently went to the scar on his chest. He shook himself from his thoughts when his hand touched the marred skin. Even the slightest sensation to the scar pained him, made his heart clench and tendrils of fire spread from the wound. But Legede said nothing to Alandis. He made the scar after all, it was his fault and his problem.
~~~
"I will go for my sister." Legolas replied, "I saved her once, I can do it again. Just..." he looked away, frustrated at himself, but also a tad angered at Sallia. Her words about seduction hurt, hurt deeply in fact. Only once had he seccumbed to Nufeniel, not counting when his soul had been ripped away, and that had been shortly after the event. 'No' Legolas thought... 'I have before. I allowed her to take on the guise of Sallia in my mind... I have betrayed my wife more times than I dare to think.' He looked back to the two women, "Draw your plans then, for I have not laid out very good ones since this mess started." Legolas replied, hurt reflected in his eyes, though he tried to hide it. "I need to think." With that, he continued on down the hill, going slightly to the left and toward the nearest patch of forest.
Rana wasn't quite sure where she was ... one moment she and Elladan had been in her room and the next they had been whisked away by some guy! she shook her head her face still stained by the dust of the road and her travel worn clothes slightly more creased by having slept in then, she nervously looked around wondering what exactly had happened!
"Well... that worked..." Elladan whispered, looking to Rana. "Oh, do not worry. I know this place. That little annoying guy was Xarik'n, a friend of Legolas and Sallia's. We are at Sallia's home now." he thought for a moment, "I wonder if that means she has returned!" but then the twin remembered the woman at his side. "Rana, you are not hurt, are you?"
"a few bruises Elladan but I am fine other then that and they will heal quickly ... so why are we here?"
She asked calmer now she knew that Elladan was still beside her and that provided her with some comfort even if she was in a strange place that she knew next to nothing about
Alandis reached into her bag, handing Legede a spare cloth once she produced it from her little kit. She gave a faint smile, half tempted to reach in and touch the water, or take a sample bottle to examine later on. "Then we are in good hands, I suppose...Or water, or spring...How about nature in general?"
Legede nodded, "Yes... you are right. My wounds are fine." he lied, since obviously his scar pained him. "Tell me, what do you think of these springs?" The captain took the offered cloth, drying his face with it as he listened to her answer.
~~~
Caldor smiled slightly, "A Xarik'n is a demon... literally... but he usually does not mean us harm and he tends to do what Sallia tells him. If you wish to speak with him, just think his name."
~~~
Elladan, by now, was helping Elrohir to a better place to sit. "We are here, Rana, most likely because Eden Cuil is destroyed."
"They are strange," she stopped, trying to pick the right words without causing any offense. "Not something I have normally seen and their effects are impressive, just like most healing magic is." Alandis decided to sit down next to Legede, her legs pulled away from the bank as she kept her hands in her lap.
Sario watched Legolas leave, biting her lip and looking once more at Sallia. "I might have upset him, I'm sorry."
"I am sorry." Elladan said, "It seems that you did not find the rest I promised you after all."
~~~
When Legolas reached the forest's edge, he jumped high into the nearest tree. 'Mae Govannan, Greenleaf.' The tree whispered. It knew his name. But then again, all trees know the names of all Wood Elves. Legolas sighed, taking comfort in it's branches as he thought through the day's events. He had failed his people, miserably in fact, and now had failed his own family. It was his fault... his fight... and he would see it through with or without Sallia's consent.
~~~
Haldir nodded, then noticed Aras looking closely at his hand. "What are you doing?" he asked in a whisper.
~~~
Rumil laughed, "That is because you were the baby." "Aye." Orophin agreed, "He spoiled you."
~~~
"I wish magic was not needed in this world." Legede said bluntly. "I know I can heal, and I know Sallia and others can as well. But does it not make things... I do not know... there is more knowledge in the art of healing that you and Estel practice than in my own."
"Why?" Rumil asked. Orophin nodded, "We liked getting you into trouble. Plus, we think Haldir liked getting you out of trouble as well. Made him smarter." "Quicker on his toes. A better thinker."
~~~
Haldir smiled, "Find something interesting?"

avien smiled and bounced Haldir II before setting him in Rumils arms "are you two going to teach my children how to be annoying or do i have to be concerned that you might spoil them, as for haldir, i already know his answer"
Aras shoke her head and looked up "no" Sundin thought she'd leave them alone. she kissed her uncles cheek and waved, hopping out of his lap "bye!" she said running over to bother her other uncles

Orophin shook his head, "No. We do not intend to spoil them at all." he said innocently. "In fact," Rumil continued, now holding his nephew. "We intend to get them into as much trouble as possible."
~~~
Haldir nodded to Sundin as she ran off. He watched the Elfling go, and new his brother's were most likely her next target. With a sigh, he leaned back on the grass.
