After having received the message for a challenge of sorts and replying with a message of his own, Kenji had made his way through the Ukude forest to the clearing of Moon Lake. The message had specified that he could choose whatever location he wanted for the fight, and a lake within a clearing of the forest was not only where he would feel most at home, but also an area that would give him a distinct advantage in terms of the elements surrounding him.

Kenji breathed in the scenery as he looked out over the lake, which seemed to have an almost ethereal quality to. there was a peacefulness to the area that Kenji could greatly appreciate as he looked out over the small lake. Now only waiting for Narkosa to come, Kenji walked out onto the surface of the lake, his chakra carrying him on it's surface as ripples of water came off of his feet as he walked. Stopping after reaching a good 150 ft from the shore, Kenji took some time and meditated, closing his eyes and placing his hands in a seal, reaching out to the water and the trees surrounding him to prepare for the sparring practice.

As Kenji meditated, he was in tune with his surroundings. Especially being who he was, Kenji was able to reach out to the trees and to nature itself and feel what it felt to a degree. Narkosa's arrival came at no surprise to him as he was able to sense it through the movement of the forest. As the smoke bomb was released just a bit to the left of him, Kenji opened his eyes and performed a few hand seals just in time to see Narkosa's shuriken attack come as he glided over the surface of the lake on his fan.

As his seals were created, his body seemed to grow a small layer of water over all of it for a split second right before the shuriken hit. Every shuriken hit dead on with the target, but Kenji's image only splashed apart as his Mizu utsusemi skill had protected him. As Narkosa continued to glide, Kenji was under the surface of the water looking up, waiting for just the right moment for Narkosa to pass as he formed a few hand seals and released his technique, speaking into the water, as it garbled his words..."Suiton: Sakana Misairu no Jutsu" , timing the technique perfectly, just as Narkosa was gliding over, a small fish made of water rose up out of the lake, jumping up towards Narkosa's fan from below. Kenji hoped that this would knock his fan out of the air and bring Narkosa to the water where Kenji was strongest.

Kenji watched on from below, happy that his technique had worked as he watched Narkosa fall towards the surface, what he didn't expect to see however were exploding tags as he watched them ignite, sending an explosion of large bubbles and water at the surface, which extended down a few feet into the water. The water absorbed almost all of the blast of the tags, but Kenji was pushed a back by the explosion a few feet. No longer to see what was up above as it appeared that Narkosa was flying too high to be seen through the water's distortion, Kenji determined that he would have to come to the surface to continue on.

"That fan will be annoying, I'll have to get rid of it, or neutralize it somehow..." Swimming down a bit, then making a quick path to the surface of the water, Kenji pushed some chakra into his feet fro an added boost as he shot out of the water and performed a back flip with perfect form to land on the water's surface. Once he was on the surface and could see Narkosa flying high above him, Kenji formed a few seals before lifting his hand up towards the sky, following Narkosa as he moved above the lake..."Fuuma Mizu Shuriken",

...a large windmill shuriken made of water immediately flew out of the lake's surface, spinning fast and furiously towards Narkosa. After another second, another one appeared, coming from the opposite direction, flying out in an arc at first, but then spinning around through the air, again aiming for Narkosa. With the amount of water Kenji had around him, using this technique to it's fullest would be easy as yet another windmill shuriken erupted from the water's surface, all three of the water windmill shuriken now aiming directly for Narkosa for different angles of attack.

"Direct Hit!" Kenji was celebrating internally as he watched Narkosa be knocked off of the fan as he went flying in one direction and the fan began to fall. Kenji immediately began to give chase, when the fan suddenly shifted as if something had pulled it, followed quickly by the expulsion of two rather large kunai. Kenji considered using the Water Demon shuriken technique again, but even though there was more then enough water around, that technique took up a lot of chakra.

Deciding to simply play defense this time around against an unknown weapon, Kenji quickly formed a few hand seals finishing in one seal, holding it and focusing as the waters began to swirl and rise up around him. "Suiton: Mizu Nankan no Jutsu" , the waters rose up all around him, forming a semi translucent dome of water with about 5 feet of space between him and the edge of the technique. As the kunai got closer, Kenji focused his chakra and the water that made up the dome began to surge in waves as it drew from the waters of the lake below. Kenji could no longer be seen as white waves of rushing water now swirled all around him, protecting him from most ranged attacks and some lower level ninjutsu techniques.

Though the shield protected Kenji from the blast of the exploding tags, he was rather surprised by the sudden force created and the opening that was made. At the sound, Kenji lost his concentration, his jutsu falling apart as the water barrier fell back into the lake in a large splash of water. Looking up, Kenji soon saw the air attack coming at him and was just barely able to get a few hand seals of his own off as he held his right arm forward in a fist pointing directly at the attack...

"Suiton: Suitama!", as he finished the words, a stream of water jumped up from the lake, swirling around his outstretched arm, quickly forming into a ball at the end of his fist as the attack fired off, just barely stopping the Kaze Bakuhatsu a foot in front of him. The Suitama was able to stop the Bakuhatsu's advance, but the following explosion still whipped the wind up around the area violently, creating multiple cuts and slices on kenji's arm due to his proximity.

Pulling his hand back, Kenji ignored the pain and the dripping blood and performed a quick series of seals, as the water from the lake rose up and engulfed him..."Mizu Bunshin no jutsu", the water that had risen up, quickly spread out from both sides of him as there were now 5 figures of Kenji standing in front of Narkosa. All of them then simultaneously began to form another set of seals as they all stopped in perfect unison, there voices blending together in complete resonance, making the next jutsu sound twice as threatening...

"Deshio no Jutsu" Placing a large amount of chakra into this technique, the waters all around the images instantly swelled up, forming an enormous wave from behind them as they sprinted forward, the waves crashing and violently as they gained speed and continued to swell in a huge torrent of water directly aiming for Narkosa. As they neared, another seal was made, as all of the images charged directly at Narkosa, holding some kind of trump card in the seal as they neared.

Completing their seals as they ran, Kenji's images were beginning to draw near Narkosa as droplets of water rose up from the surface, one in front of each image. "Mizu Shuriken no jutsu", the water droplets turned into shuriken as and then shot forward towards Narkosa, two towards his left flank, another for his chest, and the other two from his right.

...all of the images then drew kunai from the pouches on their backs and split off to attack from the same angles that the shuriken were flying towards Narkosa. Each image would vary the timing and implementation of their attacks to slice at one of Narkosa's limbs, while the middle clone would attack his chest.

As Narkosa destroyed the clones, one in particular had acted differently then all of the others, as it exploded when destroyed rather then simply falling apart. Amidst the chaos, the difference would have been hard to notice amongst all of the splashing that was occurring around him. After he had destroyed all of the clones, and made his statement, Narkosa would be surprised to see the one clone which remained in front of him suddenly disappeared into a puddle of water as it fell back to the lake, leaving no sign of Kenji in sight.

...not a second later, Kenji's arm sprung up out of the lake behind Narkosa, one finger extended towards Narkosa's back after having performed a few hand seals below as a bolt of electricity flew from his fingertip directly at Narkosa's back. After releasing the blast, Kenji sunk down below the water's surface again, forming a few hand seals as he used his Underwater Breathing technique to weave an air bubble around his nose and mouth, allowing him to stay under water without fear of drowning as he cooked up his next attack.
