I may be late as hell in saying this but thank you for this guide, I almost love you for it.

Are you going to cover the dreaded Gun Kata given to us by Equilibrium and made hilarious with Grenadier and the clevage loading?

Oh, fantastic. There's no better way to make sure you never hit anything than to dance around and point handguns individually.

Well lets see. Usually martial arts refer to a practice of unarmed combat. Learning to use a weapon requires training of a different sort. Anyhow I'll add to it later. I think I saw a GIF of that cleavage loading a long time ago. I've never seen Grenadier though. To put it bluntly, due to density I'd say trying to flip a bullet into the air with your boob will probably just make it sink into your shirt further. (Unless you have implants...) None the less I wouldn't try that at home.

Edit: She's 16?! eek <******** anime...

Edit again: Ok, I had to do a bit of research, but it isn't an uncommon concept apparently. Gun Kata is up though I'm thinking I should rework it.

Well, I managed to sit through that Grenadier series recently. I wish Revolvers could fire that quickly. Then I wouldn't dump on them as civilian toys. lol Ironically that series was pretty tame too.

I didn't cover cleavage loading in the excerpt but um... I'm hoping nobody gets the wrong idea going into an RP.

I guess Gun Kata does for guns what Kung Fu movies do for Kung Fu. Not even close to accurate but fun to watch.

Priority: You sir, are awesome.

(mind games in RPs would be really fun, it is just that there is an issue of the quality of the others and dedication.)

I also greatly appreciate the priority addition. I didn't think anyone else realized that in a gun fight you need to THINK before you shoot instead of just trying to gun down the first thing that comes in sight.

Well really any kind of combat is like that. You can't just point and shoot with guns, you can't just run up and swing wildly with melee weapons, fighting is not like games where all the hard work is done for you and all the risk is negligible. Movies and games just give us an entertaining spin of style and glamor to something that really isn't any of that at all.

I have another request.

Vitals.

I was playing MW2 and two people were getting angry because of the tactical knife.

It made me think, people should realize that there are places that you can shoot/stab/smash and the person will die no matter what, along with places that are never fatal.

Arteries (bleeding to death, quickly)
Organs

So... just to add to Wynaro, how the death occurs. I think RPing death should be practiced and enjoyed, so that it can be done well and interestingly.

People are too against their RPCs dying even when it is the only IC option left, or if it will advance the story. Thus, an RP where the character dies a lot is hard to get to function well.

I tried killing off a character once, but he was too popular and Jessie's character brought him back...

Yeah, in CS:S if you stab someone directly in the back it's an instant kill. If they didn't listen for footprints, it's their own fault.

Anyway we hear stories on the news of people surviving otherwise fatal head injuries and otherwise lethal impaling but those are the extreme exception rather than the rule.

Long story short, we don't shoot and stab for the chest just to subdue people. If you want your opponent to live, use a nightstick and stun guns, load your shotgun with beanbag rounds.

Yea, my uncle was telling me about this one kid who had half his brain blown out and LIVED. Talk about EXTREME exceptions. XD

Aim for the feet, then when they fall, walk up point the gun down at them and start with the knees, maybe hit the ankles, and then just go for the rest of the joints. Space out the hits, care for the injuries to prevent a loss of blood death. Don't let the subject pass out, or die. Just keep shooting another joint when the screaming gets too loud, or begins to subside.

Plugging joints at close range is going to be a quick but very painful death. Limiting blood loss hits the floor when you get those close range exit wounds. Unless you absolutely love hollow points, but at ranges closer than 10 feet, I don't even think those root in the victim.

Once I get some more time I'll add the section probably just to expand on injury, but I figured people knew that certain injuries weren't livable. I mean your heart stops beating you won't last long (Especially if there's a big honkin' hole in it), if your lungs fill up with blood you're in serious trouble; no medulla, no pass.

Actually this was a problem I had with people actually attempting survival horror RPs. It's not survival if staying alive is easy, and it's not horror if there are no gruesome deaths at the hands of terrifying monsters or insane bloodthirsty killers.

This RP is set to have a lot of interesting deaths, and then a restart that will allow it to be done again.

Wanna gain some points? wink

But yes, character death has a lot of issues, but would be so much more interesting than the person just leaving the RP.

Too bad about the exit wounds though.
