Fresh water or salt water beaches?
  The ocean! Much better!

"Hmph. I don't hate Zolas. I've just never seen one before." Max snapped back, crossing his arms. Some part of his mind told him to heal him somehow, but as they say in old Hylian Fables, if the sheep was generous to the hungry and thirsty Wolfos and gave it water, it'd had no trouble getting the meat. And besides... He muttered in his mind. I just helped him plenty enough to begin with by getting rid of the trouble... Though he was shaky, he's fought bigger guys before and survived. "Let me see that wound." He bent down and examined the Zola's foot-fin. The ankle was slightly misplaced. Ouch... He thought to himself. He took off his shirt and folded it around the dressing, all the time wondering why he was doing it in the first place.

"Don't move it around too much. That splint will help it from getting even more out of place. I'll be right back, though." Max walked away in the general direction of Aquarian City, which was a short distance away.

"Well, I'm not going anywhere." He chuckled sarcastically. Not moving the wounded ankle would be simple enough. It was being around these other two that made him nervous. They could jump him while he was wounded, and he couldn't do anything about it. 'Just play it safe, Moab. Maybe if you don't make any sudden moves, these two won't either. It's much safer if I stay completely still and play along.' He had no idea what these two thought of him, And Moab still had a pearl to find.
"Oh yes," He looked up at the other boy. "My name doesn't matter." Never reveal your name to someboy you don't trust completely. Even if you're trying to play it safe.

"If you say so..." He looked at him strangely, he seemed to have been brought up to believe people are untrustworthy. Justin let that out of his mind and continued, "I just felt that you would like to be referred to by your name instead of as "you" or something." He sighed, But if you say so... "you""

"Back."

Max returned to the beach with the lessened weight of his wallet and a red drink in his hand. He approached his group with the Zola next to him and knelt down, holding out the Red Potion to the mysterious man. "Take it. That should fix your leg up." Though he was planning on saving that money for something else, he thought perhaps his generosity would come back around at some point.

He took the potion gently, in case it was a trap. Fortunately, this person proved to be genuinely kind. Drinking the potion, he felt the bones in his ankle realigning and mending almost immediately. Moab flexed it a bit and it proved to be completely healed. "For the third time today, thank you. I owe you one." He smiled, which was something he rarely did. And then he figured- for all their kindness and generosity, the least he could do was to tell them his name. " By the way, I'm Moab." He rose. Now he had a pearl to find. Again. He hadn't heard the little one in green speak yet, so he looked down at him. "Have you seen a black pearl?"

Cole had just watched this situation unfold. He really didn't like this guy much. Too sarcastic for his liking. Cole looked at the Zola and smiled a bit. " Welll. Why can't we all be friends/ Starting with Max and the Zola. I mean Moab. " Cole said as he pushed Maxtoward Moab for a hug. Cole was trying to distract Moab from the fact that he had stolen his pricy black pearl that he was to deliver.

Cole felt the essence of the black pearl. Extremely eerie. But why. It felt like the essence of evil. But why would it feel like that. It was a normal pearl. At least to his knowledge.

Moab stepped backwards. He may trust this "Max" person, but he was not very into the invasion of personal space. He was so happy his ankle was no longer broken, or else he wouldn't have been able to avoid that hug attempt. He knelt down to look the boy in the eyes. "Let me try this again, little one. Have you seen the pearl." Moab was no longer asking- he was demanding to know. He could tell that the small one in green was hiding something. What, he couldn't be sure. Or maybe he was just intimidated by the scaled creature with large muscles. Either one was plausible.

Cole looked at Moab. Sure he stole the pearl but its value was not equal to the power that it was emitting. But Moab said something wrong. Never call Cole a little person. It was a bad thing to say. With a bit of rage, Cole took out his Deku Leaf and flapped it toward Moab hopefully sliding him backward and toward the water. Cole then quickly knocked and arrow and lifted his bow toward the Zola. He fired the arrow at the Zola not to kill but he sure as hell wanted to.

"Cole?! What the Hell?!" Max growled, holding up his arm in front of his eyes, covering up the mini-sandstorm that was kicked up by the powerful winds of the Deku Leaf. "Argh! This is the last time I deal with his crap!" He strafed towards the left to get out of the arrow's line of fire and charged at Cole, moving as swiftly as he could through the sand to reach Cole. With that, he leaped at him, trying to tackle and subdue him. "What the Hell's the matter with you?! And where did Cu--- Pum go?!"

Cole had been tackled by Max. This just made him even more angry. Cole began to breathe heavier as his rage grew. Cole was pressed against the sand as Max was on top of him. Cole held his bow and slammed it into Max's chest as he flipped positions with him. " Stop! " Cole said as he his voice was full of fury and a bit deeper than usual. The bow was pressing against Max's chest almost crushing his own bow.

Justin didn't have time to think, he moved fast. He ran over toward Cole and pushed him off Max. "What the hell was that?" He looked at Cole, whose temper seemed to increase.

Moab hat no clue as to what had just happened, but he could see something he said angered the boy in green. Even though Max and the other one were trying to fend him off, some sort of inner fury kept the boy going- a fury that didn't look like it was supposed to be there. He walked over calmly and lifted the boy in green off the ground, holding him in a sort of bear hug. "I think there's been enough excitement for one day." Moab remained calm as the boy struggled in his grip. "Now what do you say we calm down and discuss things like civilized beings?"

[[Cole's out for a little while, so I'll puppet him.]]

"Hmph. Thanks." Max grunted, dusting the sand off his bare stomach. "What's up with you, you little pyscho?" He reached into Cole's struggling pocket and pulled out a strange black pearl. "Cole doesn't usually act like this... Stupid and insane, but not violent... He's never tried killing me before..." He held the pearl up close to his face. "This..." His eyes grew to the size of melons when he gazed into the strange jewel of nature - In its reflection was a giant squid like creature, and it casted a large tentacle down on the trio. "What?!" Max pushed the group out of the way as the tentacle came crashing down on the sand. "What's it doing all the way out here?!"

"That's a Big Octo, my young friend."

Max turned around to see an old man standing on a rock in the distance, a few yards off shore, behind the giant squid. "That pearl you found, Moab... I need it now." A large suction-cup filled tentacle reached out and grabbed the pearl from Max's hands, pushing him away. The tentacle reached back and handed the pearl over to the old man.

"Johnson!!" Max smirked. "Back for another a**-kicking. First a giant spider, now a giant squid... Why don't you just come over here yourself, hm?" He enjoyed taunting Old Man Johnson more than playing at the beach. After doing this, however, he took a look at the Big Octo one more. It had two large tentacles, suction-cupped on one side, as most tentacles are. It had a large, pointed squid-like head and dozens of eyes scattered all over its body. "Well... Damn." Max sighed nervously, backing up slowly. "There goes my confidence. Any of you know of a way to kill this thing?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 10, 2009 3:13 pm

Justin was knocked down onto the sand. Max's reflexes were quite in tact, if he hadn't acted, the tentacle would have came down and killed all of them. He got up quickly, not allowing the giant to have a chance for a second attempt. He looked over toward Max, the Octo reached into his palm and took the pearl that he had been examining moments ago. The tentacle pushed Max over, shooing him away.

The Squid-like creature was intimidating, with two large tentacles and dozens of eyes all over it's body. "It's one monster after another at this place." He was exhausted, the only thing that he wanted to do was to take a nap. "I have absolutely no idea, Maxie..." He replied, "...I feel almost brain dead right now, I'm too tired to deal with this s**t" For a second or two he was thinking about unsheathing his sword, but he was hoping that he wouldn't need to, he really wanted Max and Noab to take care of this.

Cole bit down on Moab's arm as he downed to the floor. " I was trying to save you from doing something back. " Cole said as he looked at Max and Justin. " Hold down the arms and go for the face. Their eyes are the most sensitive. " Cole said sounding like Pum. Cole had a thing with animals and monsters. He had kind of a connection with them. " The tenacles will stick to the sand. But if you go for the eyes, the arms will give you a lot of hurt. " Cole said as he grabbed his Deku Leaf. " Let's blind the sucker. " Cole said as he flapped the leaf and blew a gust of wind and a sand storm at the Octo.
