Name: Suiiki Meaning: Water Real Name: Michelle Age: 20 DOB: 23rd December, 1988 Date Joined: 15th December 2004, under account Kumi_izumi, which is now Random Turquoise Date starting this account: 31 May, 2005 Changes I have seen: Where do I start? There's always the mods banning people for no reason, while letting porn posters and spammers and hackers stay in the forums, which is why I no longer go to the forums. Also the aquariums, a good idea in theory but hello, don't charge cash for the fish! EI's would have been a good idea in theory also, but they have taken away our monthly collectibles, as well as the simple fact that they also cost cash, driving their price up in the marketplace, where people can't get them unless they are an American kid with rich parents. I remember Gaia Hangouts, which was fun, I mean, I could have my best friend's avvi over for tea, and we'd both get to run around with both avvies at top of our screen and besides our posts! YAY! But they got rid of that, along with EVERY OTHER GOOD IDEA THEY HAVE HAD IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS. When I first joined, when I was 15, I came here almost every day. Now I come maybe once every few days, often my absences are weeks long, because I just can't see the fun anymore. I miss the pretty items, the simplicity, and the sense of community. I almost get the feelling that Gaia is now a cross between a money making scheme and a psychological experiment.

Well helloes. I'm a 2004 member, meaning I've seen somewhat all bad and good changes Gaia made the past few years. I did take 1 year of break from this site though, but that was before Cash Shop & Co. popped out of the ground. I do believe, that some changes actually hurt people more than they do good. I myself am strictly against Phin Phang as a 100% cash shop, and bought all my deko and fishes on the marketplace. Aquariums are fun, but the way to build one is not, and fishes paid for dying? No thank you talk2hand Oh yes, I like writing a lot... A LOT xd

Hey there! Well to start off, my name is Christina, I live in Australia, so I'm online at random times and I was invited by the donut of shame, my awesome friend :3
I joined back at the start of '06, at the height of the Gaian empire, or in my opinion, anyways. It was awesome back then, and Gaia has made both really bad and really good decisions.
Anyways, I don't know what else to add, so I won't. I'll be posting now and then, but I won't be very active.

It takes a long time to be noticed. Since we're a guild, once we're big enough, we can spam them by suggesting our guild lol

fatalbeauty I'm fatalbeauty, been here long enough to see the many changes that the site has been making over the years and long enough to know when they go against their word....I've seen my little site where I knew a lot of the people go to "WE WANT YOUR MONEY! but if you don't have money, we don't need you....." 212-53 Booty Grab. Speaking of which... I've been on Gaia since December 2k6 and I've seen too MANY changes. Aquariums used to be fun.... until we had to waste our money to buy fish... or should I say, PIXELS.... that wait.... Gaia, did I hear you right? They die, too?! Gaia is turning into a money making site and I'm not that proud to be a Gaian anymore....

Hi... I'm Doktorphil, RL known as Rachel (If you didn't guess by my siggy sweatdrop ), and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada, right across the US border.
I joined in 2007, August I think, which I believe was just before the Cash shop? I remember when the first EI came out, and I honestly thought it was a pretty neat idea, but too bad that I wasn't able to buy any cash. As more and more came out, I thought that some of them were downright awesome, but then, like many others, I realized that nothing had come out in what seemed like ages for the gold shops. There was just more and more Cash Shops this, EI that. And then came RIGs and the Aquariums. I'll admit, I'm willing to save my gold to buy fish for the aquarium (Yeah, if you noticed, mine is empty, I'll explain later), but it seems every decent item that comes out of RIGs is just as if not more expensive than Golden Laurels, my current quest!
Along with that, the recent changes to the site have made it seem much more unfriendly. For example, the disappearance of the "trade" button in the drop-downs. Sure, you can just go to the bottom of the page or to the Marketplace, but why fix what wasn't broken? I had to go into the Q&A forum just for help finding the button, because I was off for a little while.
I've also noticed the declining quality of some of the MCs. Again, I never bought them with cash, but it seems all of the good ones I've ever wanted to quest for, save a few, came out far before my time.
Like many, I understand Gaia needs to make their money to support themselves, but I think they're doing it the wrong way. They hammer us with so many cash items, I've known a bunch of people who are just plain fed up and left, not wanting to come back because of all the inflation and greed of marketeers.
Oh, and the Aquarium story... I was gone for the past couple weeks, I had a bunch of home-life stuff going on, and my aquarium died off. But, there's no use in replacing it because in 4 days I leave to go to an Air Cadet Summer Training Course for 6 weeks.

Hellos ^^. Well, Im Kay or Katie.. And I'm 16 and live in the US, Califorina to be exact..
I joined Gaia around the start of '08 because my Best Friend told me it was a great site. I believe so I started later in the changing process and was used to these huge changes that people were talking about, cause I never knew about them.. But soon after I joined Gaia, I got the feeling that unless I started using the little money I get: I was around 15 years old so I had no job or way to get money: I would get no where with Gaia. With the way the games are, paying the Market Place is the only way to get a lot of money... and thats harder for me.

I'm Sasu Berry.
I joined GaiaOnline on October 15th, 2006. I have gone through several accounts due to things I was blamed for. (Initially, all the advertisements and surveys were involved in my banning.) I work hard to stay on GaiaOnline despite becoming so close to quitting these past years. When I started, I was surprised at the friendliness this site offered. I became attached.
Then everything happened between those years. My attachment is nearly gone. I can't stand to look at this site without feeling upset with what has happened. What has the owner done to this site? Putting advertisements up or surveys won't do anything for this site. It's unique in it's own way, not with the help of others.
Many of my close friends reside on this site, and they will also agree with me on the changes of this site. These changes fail.
