Hiroki stood on a tree,he got up there by flying of course, and watched as Lilly walked. "lets get a little closer,shall we?" He asked himself. He got down and hid his wings,he walked behind Lilly like they were together in a crowd,if someone looked at them,they could've guessed brother and sister. Considering Hiroki's height,that was from his father,not mutation. It was funny,he was always taller than the kids at school. The made fun of him but he always ignored them. He continued walking behind Lilly,making her unaware of his presence.

Lilly stopped sudenly as they passed a computer store. she stared at a laptop for a second or so and shook her head. she sighed and turned faceing Hiroki "AHHK!" she freaked out for a second and then caught herself. "don't do that...." she glared at him as she took off her headphones. "heh i don't usualy take my headphones off so often.."

Beatrix woke up and looked outside her window. A beautiful day it was,indeed. She smiled,stretched and got out of bed. She put on some new clothes and she got ready for the morning,she packed a messanger bag full of small snacks in case she got hungry for the day and she wouldnt have to go back home to get it and waste her time. She aslo packed a different book. It was the fourty-year old one. She smiled and flung it over her shoulder and left her apartment. Locked the door and everything. She walked towards the park and saw a boy in a black shirt,she sensed something in him. Something she hasnt sensed before,she couldnt really read his mind but she tried. She read the girl's mind he was with,nothing interesting. She wondered why she couldnt read his mind though. She decided to follow him and sometime ask him maybe why she couldnt,she meant,after all,she does live like right next to him. She saw him fly home yesterday so it was proof.

Hiroki smiled and waved little-like."Hi there!" He said and he pointed at the laptop,"Something you liked?" He asked. She didsay she was into computer things and hacking,he didnt mind that.

"yeah but don't worry i can't afford it, nor do i have a house with plug ins that i could charge it with if it died." she said as she stared at it again. Lilly shook her head. and it would just give thugs a reason to jump me to steal it so they can sell it... heh being smart sucks." she shrugged and started walking again.

Beatrix continued walking and looking at Hiroki and Lilly."Hmm,ah,ill do it some other time."She said and walked to the park. She sat down in front of a tree and took her book out and began to read. She got into it really quickly so she could lose track of time easily. "ooo,cool" She said,looking at a big picture in the book. She took out a chocolate bar and took a small bit out of it and continued to read.

"Heh,not necessarily." He said and walked with her." You could maybe make history some day. Maybe you can be famous!" He said cheerfully. He was only trying to make her feel better since she sounded kind of down. She looked like she wanted to do something. He noticed how she took her head-phones off when she was around him. He knew how much she hated the outside world so it kind of confused him but her never mentioned it.

Lilly put her hand in her pocket and noticed something in it. she pulled out a quarter. " your kidding me.. that's all i have left..." she sighed... "what am i going to do.. I don't want to become as low as the guy who stole from the bank, or tried to, but i may have no other choice." she looked at Hiroki and suddenly stopped again. "i said that out loud didn't I?..." she paused and looked around to make sure no one else heard her.

Hiroki smiled and put up his finger and wiggled it back and forth."I said i'd watch over you....didnt i?" He said. He gave her some money and smiled,"Here,spend it wisely,ok?" He said and looked around at some cool shops. For some reason there were more people than usual today.

Lilly smiled when he gave her some money "woo!" she walked quickly to a store that had candy in it. "i haven't had candy in forever!" she baought a lollipop and came right back to Hiroki "finally i get to act like a kid again!" she smiled at him "thank you sooo much!"

Hiroki smiled and laughed a little,"Well,at least your happy,right?" He asked. He looked up and saw some plains in the sky. He looked around and saw the girl at the park. oh my gosh,its her....i've seen her before...but where? he wondered and thought to himself.

Lilly leaned up against a nearby wall enjoying her lollipop. she hadn't acted like a kid in forever. she slipped her headphones up onto her ears and sighed. "but when it is gone... i have to act like an adult again..."

"heh just stay the same." she said as she finished her lollipop and threw it away in a nearby trashcan. "i am used to being an adult... i kind of have to... being alone all of the time." she put the money Hiroki gave her in her pocket. "i can't act like a kid, it would be the end of me." she smiled at him.

Hiroki looked at her,"Why? the end of you?" He asked. He could see where she was coming from with the whole 'no parents' thing and being on your own. He looked back at his past and it kinda of resembled Lilly's in a way.
He forgot a little about the girl and walked a little further waitng for Lilly to follow,"What is it like?...being a kid i mean,i dont remember." He said remembering the death of his parents and the explosion.
