Pretty soon, it's going to be cheaper to smoke "weed" than it is to smoke tobacco. *Laughs.* And no, I've never done narcotics other than what comes in Vicodin and Tramadol when they were prescribed to me.

When I was working behind the bar just 4 months ago, I was charging 25 bucks for a pack of smokes. But that was bar prices, with 5 bucks going to the 'bartenders wellness fund'.
and fyi, twenty south african bucks is probably around $2US.
Smoking and drinking is cheap in South Africa biggrin
On the topic of narcotics, I've tried to stay away from the hard stuff. Every now and then if someone has a J, I'll smoke it with them. But thats like once in a blue moon.

I drink every now and then, and I'd do it more if it weren't so expensive to have a good time.
Other than that, I don't really do anything but work, work on my car, and play WoW.

I dont really drink as much as i used to.
If im at a party ill drink some, but i wont go balls deep into drinking like some of my friends do.
i drink tons of water if im out drinking so i wake up feeling fine.
ugh and cigs, i bought a pack the other day after a year and a half.
In all honesty im more of a pot smoker.
but i dont drive while im under the influence, i dont smoke during the day either.
only time i smoke is a couple hours before i go to sleep during the work week, relax and watch some tv.
funny as it sounds, i try to be responsible with my pot.
also no im not one of those idiots whos obsessed or who makes lame jokes over the word "high".

Millefune I remember one of my former roommates had a hookah. When my mom came to visit, she thought we were doing drugs. It's so wet and juicy, and smells so damn good, not to mention tastes better too! But I wasn't so keen on putting my lips on something that could have someone else's herpes or something. Yes, we're still talking about tobacco. I understood that one! But on a different note, what makes people want to smoke or have the obsession to do so?

I only smoke when everyone else is smoking. I'm a chump like that, and give in to peer pressure. Also, it looks ******** bad-a** when dudes smoke. When girls do, it's ugly though. Bunta wouldn't look nearly as awesome as he does if he didn't smoke cigarettes. And those bad-asses in "Hard Boiled" all smoked too. If smoking wasn't so ******** stinky, I'd do it all the time.
Others are addicted. It's a crime that they allow cigarettes and alcohol to be legal, but not marijuana. I don't do marijuana though, because that s**t stinks worse than cigarettes, and it makes you yourself smell even worse. I mention it again, because that's the biggest thing about smoking either that keeps me away from them. I have a personal pet-peeve about scent (I have a sensitive sense of smell), so I always try to be sure I smell good, both for the sake of my and other's noses. Also one of the very few reasons I'm glad I'm a Type-1 Diabetic. My sweat has more of a sweet scent to it, since my blood sugar levels are generally higher than normal folk.
Back to addiction, the tobacco companies rely on people being addicted to their product, so they pump it full of concentrated nicotine and other chemicals that will help people get addicted. It's a crime... but a legalized one.

But still, The temptation at our age is to much. xd Lol in America you can go an fight for your country at 18, but after a hard days killing, go into a bar and ask for a stiff drink, and they'll ask you for ID. lol Thats so lame. I got drunk for the first time when I was 14, had a few drinks before then, but by the time I reached 18 I knew what it was like to get drunk, and I've never gotten out of control when out and about. I know my limits well, and I've never go out just to get drunk. I go out and have fun, if I get drunk in the process then thats fun too. But I actually enjoy my alcohol. Nothing like a warm Cognac on a cold winters night. On the topic of smoking, tabacco has a ok smell to it. When its packed into a pipe or into a hookah. There at least you know you're not getting all that concentrated tar and otherstuff. I agree with Mille, if you're going to smoke, you'd better look cool doing it. Otherwise you look like a chump. I don't mind if a girl smokes, provided she doesn't smell like cigarette, and knows at least how to smoke, and looks good doing it. They have to look like they don't care about the cig, and that they don't need it at all. After all, body language tells a lot about someone.

But still, The temptation at our age is to much. xd I didn't start drinking until I was 21 (I'm not counting the two or four single sip occassions I took out of my dad's can while there was a party to see how it tasted when I was a curious little elementary school kid, since I spit them out). I hate the taste of beer, and just am not a real big fan of the funky alcohol taste in liquor. I still don't drink much, except a single cup of "rape juice"* at parties here and there, or a shot of vodka and like... a liter of orange jucke with it. I'm a total lightweight, and am usually designated driver anyway. *It's what we called it in college/university, because you couldn't taste the alcohol in it, but it had a decent amount. It'd go like this: GUY: Here, have some of this. It's good! GIRL: Huh? What is it, it's like... glowing green! GUY: Just take a sip, it doesn't have that much alcohol. GIRL: OK... *Takes sip.* Yummy! It tastes like candy! *Drinks it down.* I'm still thirsty, can I have some more? GUY: Sure you can... heh heh heh. GIRL: *Wakes up next day.* Why's my head and my p***y so sore? I've never raped a girl, or gotten one to pass out, since I have a decent moral compass, and I don't find having sex with passed out women very enticing for me to even get tempted. It's just what I observed during frat parties, but it's also not my place to go c**k-blocking or snitching anyone out.

^^^+1 for the alco taste not being very agreeable. Never liked it in fact, so the only times I drink are at people's weddings. And even then I try to take only good wine.

Even when I'm off my face I still have Morals. I would have had a great chance to hook up with my Ex the other day at a mates Party, but I knew I'd regret it in the morning If I did. So I didn't and I was actually really happy with myself. As for smoking, I'd much rather Drink than smoke. It may cost more but you sure as hell can have more fun with a 6 pack of drink than a pack of smokes. If I'm doing something stupid, I'd rather do something that up's my confidence, rather than destroys my lungs. And I cant think of anything worse than a chick that smokes, Instant Turn off for me.
