Marie stood up abruptly as a frightened Alex clung tightly to her. Aya stood up, senses alert as a glint of fire began to softly erupt around her body. "Shall we go then?" the amazon asked, the beginnings of bloodlust shining in her eyes.

"I would highly suggest doing so!" Mikalloca yelled at Aya, trailing after Kamahu, making sure Mykaela and her other creations didn't get left behind.

"Come on!" Mykaela yelled at David, "You're a Writer - now is one of those times where we need your abilities to save this airport!"

David was stunned when he saw the wall explode. He clutched Crystalis to his chest, nodding at Mykaela. Monterey, Castelle, and Roberre materialized around him.

"What's up, boss?" Monterey asked, scuttling over to David.

David pointed at the mess in front of them, "Trouble. Writer trouble."

"Ah...I see!" Monterey grinned, "And how would you like us to assist? Shall we scare the humans away with Castelle's mug, or actually put an effort into fighting?"

Marie, Alex, and Aya immediately took off after Mykaela, Aya looking around. She grinned slyly when the wall burst open. "Well then, we finally get to see some action!"

As they reached the front of the airport, the full horror of the Writer's army hint them. The creatures in front of them stood as a testimony to the cruelty of half considered, thrown away characters: freakishly disfigured, with ferocious weapons for limbs or lower bodies comprised of vehicles. Mykaela missed a step as she glimpsed the horror, causing her to trip over Alric's feet. She scraped her hands and knees on the tile floor, she was beginning to stand up, when a majickal blast of ice shot over her head from Mikalloca in the rear. "Sorry!" Mikalloca's voice called. The blast cut through three creatures, knocking them dead. Mikalloca scooped Mykaela up as she ran by, dragging her along to the rest of the group.

Alex's eyes went wide. "Wow! Marie, what are those things?" he asked, have in fear and half in awe.

Marie looked back quickly, eyes narrowing at the sight she beheld. "Enemies, Alex. Poor corrupted remnants of unfinished and forgotten characters. Aya, don't cause too much damage," she warned the red head.

Aya rolled her eyes. "Marie, wherever there's a fire, there's bound to be destruction. "No exceptions!" she growled before turning towards the oncoming figures and blasted large amounts of flames from her hands, torching anything it struck.

As Kamahu entered the Food Court, he noticed it was eerily quiet for a building that was under attack by these creatures. None of the people here seemed to be frightened or to have seen the creatures at all. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He looked behind him to see the Writers and their creations catching up with him.

"LOOK OUT!" Al called, seeing the flurry of motion behind Kamahu.

Before Kamahu could react, a bladed appendage of a creature that had dropped down from the ceiling sliced his head off. It toppled to the ground, rolling to the feet of his comrades.

"Marie! Put me down!" Alex commanded, his countenance changing from fearful to fearless. His eyes were beginning to change to a dark red from its normal violet. The moment the writer let him down and his feet hit the ground, fire was already erupting from his hands. Although his strength with fire was nowhere near his mother's level, it was enough to cause damage to the enemy ranks. He quickly made several bonfires to slow down the creatures that were on foot.

Aya grinned when she saw her son using the abilities she taught him. Her eyes glowed with pride before changing from violet to dark red, allowing the flames run through her veins. Immediately, fires began to spring up, adding to the bonfires Alex created as well as tearing through enemies. "Marie, maybe you should call up another friend. Seeing what happened to Kamahu, we'll need all the friends we can get!"

Marie nodded as she opened up her notebook. She briefly flipped through the pages as she picked out the most useful characters to use for their situation. She let her darker emotions take hold of her before muttering their names. "Aria, Sekkra, Meilian, Rallion." Her notebook began to glow, and within a few moments, three women and a man appeared before her. Before they could speak, she pointed in the directions of the oncoming enemy lines. "We'll catch up later. Right now, we need to fight off these monsters!" she stated like a commandant. The four gazed at the enemy, looked at each other, and immediately took out their weapons, ready to fight.

Mykaela's creations froze at the sight of Kamahu. "GO!" Mykaela yelled to the three. "I'll take care of Kamahu, you dispatch this creature!"

The three nodded before hastily advancing. Al pulled out a broadsword, while lightning danced across Mikalloca's form. Al rushed the creature, hacking at a dangling appendage. To his surprise, his sword did nothing, bouncing back from the metal. He cursed to himself, rolling out of the way as another appendage swung at him.

"MOVE, AL!" Mikalloca called, before shooting bolts of lightning at the creature. The electricity dissipated on contact with the creation.

Mykaela quickly scooped up Kamahu's head, running over to the headless body, wandering around. She grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him out of the range of the monster. "How could you let your guard down, so?" Mykaela muttered.

Kamahu's decapitated head frowned, "A minor lapse in judgment. It won't happen again." His body reached blindly out for his head, missing Mykaela by a long shot. "Be glad it was me, and not one of your other friends, who would have been dead from such a blow."

Mykaela reluctantly put Kamahu's head into his open hands. "Mikalloca and Al need some help. Hurry up and end this."

Kamahu set his head back onto his neck, twisting it into place. The separation between the broken skin healed itself in mere seconds, and Kamahu then bent his neck from side to side, cracking the kinks out. He smiled, majick dancing in his eyes. "Gladly." With that, he turned toward the beast, slowly and purposefully walking toward it, ready for revenge.

Seeing the large, mechanical looking creatures suddenly beginning to pour into the airport, Melian gasped. "Holy crow! Are we supposed to be fighting that?!" she yelled. The creatures were enormous in size, and they looked to have been treated terribly; their limbs were multiple and strangely shaped. Different weapons formed each limb on each different creature, and each creature commenced an attack on the group.

"Keep your eyes open! Aria, stay back and keep Marie and Alex safe!" Rallion yelled as he brought out his semi automatic. He quickly loaded the gun with metal piercing bullets, his hands moving so fast that it didn't take a minute before the gun was fully loaded. He wasted no time in shooting down a creature that was beginning to fly over their heads.

Sekkra growled under her breath as she grabbed her battle axe from her back. Lightning began to course through her and it swirled around the blade. Once the lightning was purely visible and the sound crackled loudly, she charged at the nearest machine. "Let's go, you pieces of trash!"

A surge of purple light surrounded Aria as she concentrated her powers into a strong force field. The dome expanded until in surrounded Marie, Alex, Aria, and Aya. "There. This should keep us safe," she stated quietly as she sat down cross legged in the middle of the dome.

((GAH! I didn't realize this thread came back to life! Sorry, guys! gonk ))

David gave Monterey a look. "We don't have time for this nonsense! Look at all of the creatures pouring in here! Go! Attack!"

Monterey grinned, showing a row of pointy teeth. "With pleasure." He tilted his butt into the air, shooting webbing at the ceiling, where he quickly climbed and disappeared.

Roberre curled into a ball, the bones of his spine piercing through the skin as spikes. He rolled forward, knocking down and tearing through machines in his path.

Castelle, and Dedrick had no special abilities, and the weapons they were equipped with were no match for machines. Crystalis began crying, clinging to David.

Once Kamahu reached the creature that had struck him, he reached out grabbing one of its legs. With superhuman strength, Kamahu lifted the machine up, swinging it once around his head, before flinging the flailing creation onto another machine. Black smoke churned into the air, as the two machines failed and lit into flames. He then pursued to move on to more machines, piercing them with blasts of dark magic.

None of Mikalloca's magic seemed to be harming the machines, so she resorted to casting gusts of wind at them, to keep them back, and keep herself safe.

Al was able to chop at the smaller of the creatures, easily cutting them in half. The medium-sized creatures taking a couple hits before shutting down.

Mikayla was lingering around Mykaela, shooting balls of light at any creature that came near the woman, or even looked like it was going to come near.

Aya growled and stepped out of the bubble. "I'm not staying back. These creatures are just pieces of junk metal, right? Well then, some fire should melt them to high hell!" she yelled as she charged, her body engulfed in flames as she began to start an inferno.

"Aya! Don't be so reckless! Setting the place aflame will cause it crash down on all of us!" Marie yelled to no avail. Exasperated, she picked Alex up despite his protests, and began moving in the direction she noted Mykaela to be. "C'mon Aria. We should join the the others and warn them about Aya's reckless move."

Alex clung to Marie, fearing for his mother. "Momma can be so impatient sometimes. She will be okay though, right Marie?" he asked. He couldn't bear the thought of losing his mother, and although he wanted nothing more than to follow her, he deemed it wiser to remain with Marie.

"Don't worry, Alex. Your mother will be fine," Aria stated softly. She stood up with a sigh and followed Marie, keeping the force field in place around them. She focused on it as she placed a steady hand on Marie's shoulder. She hated moving with a force field, only because her movements tended to distract her, thus weakening the barrier, so holding on to Marie helped her keep most of her focus on the shield rather than her walking.

Thunderous crashes could be heard surrounding Sekkra; her enormous axe sliced through machines here and there, short circuiting them as they made impact with the ground. Noting Marie's movement, she positioned herself to keep the metallic monsters from going her creator's way.

Running out of bullets quickly, Rallion moved to using his monstrous strength, the special brass knuckles he had made secreting an acid that dissolves the metal on impact. Meilian fought alongside him, cutting through some of the machines with the air pressure emanating through her katanas. Both copied Sekkra's movements, keeping a close eye on Marie.
