I liked Kubrick for a while. Especially when I used to be obsessed with A Clockwork Orange.

I've never seen A Clockwork Orange but some of my friends really like it. They even have the t-shirts and all that junk.

I consider it one of those cult films. It's very dark. Malcolm MacDowell (?) does a great job as Alex DeLarge.

Aya Izawa
Akira Kurosawa is one of my favorite directors. I love all of his Samurai films. Seven Samurai is my favorit out of his films. 3nodding

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you. I like a lot of his films, including non-samurai ones like High & Low which was just amazing. =)

In high school I did a project on Kubrick that was just a videotape of all the best moments from his movies. I didn't really put very much thought into that particular project.

Sweet. I did a project on Kurosawa and had to show what kind of cuts he used. Had to watch more famous movies.

Seven Samurai [of course], Rashomon, Hidden Fortress, and Yojimbo. I hadn't seen High & Low or RAN at the time.

Neither did I. I didn't see it, anyway. Is that the Tony Curtis one? (I'm having a Clueless moment).

Otherwise, I've seen the rest of those movies.

I'm not sure...but you should see Spartacus if you haven't. Watch Yojimbo! and the sequel, Sanjuro!

I want to see them, but I have no motivation. I tend to think all samurai movies are the same.
