Joey Crash
I do that on-track, but with windows 1/4 down. That way I don't have to look at the tach(listening to the engine takes a task away from your eyes that can focus on the road) It helps a great deal(also lets you know when your brake pads are on fire) rofl

I can definitely understand that, although it's less relevant during normal driving than real racing - I usually shift between 3.5k and 5k, sometimes playing a game to do it exactly on 4 everytime lol. I don't ever want to drive an automatic again. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about my break pads catching fire, though...

I'm likely more in Southern California but I don't like to say that since people think LA. I'm in Ventura county, we have lots of nice windy roads, some of my favorites locally are highway 33 that is pretty empty on stretches which is nice. A local favorite is Grimmes Grade but that is very traffic filled even at night, Wheeler Canyon road is a personal favorite, it's small and follows a creek so the chance of fatality is less since you can't get going too fast and no huge dropoffs. I used to be stupid and go out really late at night and cross over the line if I think it's safe, I've stopped doing that since a few years before getting my s2000 after seeing too many idiot motorbike people crossing over the line only to get their heads implanted in a GMC truck grill.

As far as street racing I have never done it. Both out of fear and lack of competitors. I have been looking into track time at button willow but thinking more about getting new rubber for my car as my back tires are pretty faded. I have never even seen anyone really street racing aside from idiots doing drags on busy roads in Oxnard.
