Luna giggled a little at Draco’s words about Norbert. “Maybe he’s just got a lot of energy.” Walking at the males side she glanced up at the little Pandryl and thought about what it must be like to have a friend like that. She’s always liked traveling alone but now she thought that maybe one day she might like to have a familiar.
Turning to Draco again his voice pulled her from her thoughts. She grinned a little and nodded. “Running is fun, that’s for sure, I’m enjoy having a run for a little while at least.”

"He's definitely got lots of energy." Draco chuckled. "As do I most of the time." He blushed a little at his own words. "I have to, to keep up with him."
He looked at her and gave a smile, and then a wink. He stopped in the path, crouched down and then took off in a full run. "Catch me if you can!" he called behind him.
The wind was flowing through his mane, causing it to blow straight out behind him. His tail was blowing on the breeze he was creating, and his robes were rustling. He was fast, but was he fast enough?

Luna has taken a few more steps after Draco stopped walking. Stopping a foot or so in front of him she turned to look at the male just as he crouched and bolted in past her the breeze he created catching her hair and twirling it around her and after him. Her blue grey eyes watched him as he ran down the path and she grinned. Using her front paws she pulled up her skirt as much as she could. Then crouching down as he had she shot forwards, and down the trail.
Her hair whipped in the wind and her tail bobbed up and down behind her helping her keep balanced. She took deep breaths as she run, the chilled air making her lungs burn a little. Keeping her eyes open she watched for Draco’s paw prints and followed closely. Her grin spread as he bottom came into sight and she put of more speed to catch up. It wasn’t long before she was right behind him and still gaining. "Hello there."

Draco smiled as he heard Luna catching up to him. He took a quick glance at her and kept up his pace. After a few seconds, she was running beside him and started to pull ahead. He grinned and pushed himself a little harder to keep pace with her.
His breathing was a bit faster than normal, and he was breathing hard, his blood pumping through his veins. He felt a rush of adrenaline as the endorphines kicked in. He laughed at the fun he was having, and looked up to make sure Norbert was still in his sight.

Luna chuckled lightly, to quiet for the male to hear. Her breaths where just as heavy as his and the adrenaline dump had caused her to speed up even more. Pulling out even further ahead of him she glanced back out of the corner of her eye at him. She still wasn’t that far ahead and if she burnt herself out to quickly he’d pass her with ease so she kept her pace now. Not to slow but not to fast either, just enough to stay ahead.
She to glanced up to the sky to see if she was still on track and if Norbert was within her sights. She didn’t want to get carried away and lost during this little game of there’s. She smiled a little as she felt a snow flat melt on her nose, and watched a few more falling to the ground. It wasn’t snowing hard or anything, but the white flakes here once more fluttering to earth.

Norbert looked down to make sure the Tae's were still following him. He noticed they were running. "I must be flying too fast for them," he thought to himself with a silent chuckle. Up ahead about a hundred yards, he could see the entrance to the cave. He swooped down to fly above Draco. "It's not far now," he thought to him, flapping hard to keep up with him since he wasn't up higher on the currents. "The entrance to the cave is just up ahead."
Draco was glad the cave wasn't much further. His legs were getting tired. He hadn't had such a competitor in a long time, if ever. Keeping up with Luna was a little more difficult than he thought it would be. "Hey Luna!" he called, through huffs and puffs, "The entrance... isn't very... far." He wasn't about to stop unless she did. He had to keep a bit of pride, since she was already outrunning him.
Norbert kept pace with Draco, flying to the right side of him. "Why are you running?" he asked him.
Draco glanced at him out of the corner of his eye. "For fun." he quickly replied smiling.

Again she turned her head to look at Draco, but only for a moment to give a quick nod. Taking a moment to smile at the little dragon before looking forwards again. Just in time to leap over a small pile of snow that looked as though it had fallen from a tree at the edge of the path.
She was glad they where getting closer, she was having fun just the muscles in her legs throbbed a little as she powered forwards. Coming up to the top of a small mound like hill the cave entrance came into view and she grinned. There was the finish line. Again she glanced to the male from the corner of her eye, mostly to make sure he was ok. Then turning eye head back again she let out her last burst of speed and using it to close in on the entrance quickly.
Reaching the cave and the dry ground within she slowed to a stop before nearly collapsing. It had been a long time since she had run that hard, with anyone. Huffing and puffing she allowed herself to pretty well fall over, resting on the cool rock surface her eyes closed as she lay there on her side. Completely still other then the rise and fall of her chest, her panting echoing slightly in the cave.

Draco was close behind Luna as she hopped over the pile of snow, and he saw the cave entrance just ahead. He decided to slow down, just in case the cave floor was icy inside. He slowed to a jog and then back to a walk. His muscles were burning. He stretched out his legs as he walked the rest of the way to the cave entrance.
From where he was he could see that the cave was dark inside and the sun shone above, so that it didn't cast any rays into the mouth of the cave. There were pointed rocks hanging from the top. It looked as if there were also the same kind of pointed rocks coming up from the ground near the edges. It almost made the cave look like it had teeth.
Draco saw Luna lying on the floor, panting heavily. He quickly jogged up to her. "Are you alright?" he asked her with a slight worry in his voice. Just then, Norbert sailed inside over their heads and landed on top of one of the stalagmites. "Isn't this cave just wonderous?" he asked Draco in awe, as he stared around at the vast opening. He looked down to see Draco's face, and noticed Luna on the floor. "Is she okay?" he asked concerned.

She didn’t answer at first, still gulping air in deeply. Slowly she opened her eyes to look up at the male and gave a reassuring smile. “I… fine. Just… needed to… lay down a… moment.” Pushing herself she sat up and looked around, still breathing heavily. “Wow!” She hadn’t really taken any time to really look at the cave before or after she entered it. But it was rather interesting looking to say the least. Eyeing the entrance she thought about how it looked like the mouth of a great beast that had just eaten her and her new friends.
Her tail flicked behind her and she looked over at Draco. “That was fun, but I think I need a rest before we go on.” Her paws felt slightly numb, the tips of her toes starting to burn a little. She hadn’t noticed till now but the chill of the snow and the rapid beating against the ground had caused her paws to go completely numb with cold. Now that they where warming they burned painfully.

Draco breathed a sigh of relief, and sat down beside her, wrapping his tail around himself. He brushed off some snow that was on his clothes, and waited to catch his breath, and for Luna to rest. "I'm sorry about that," he said with a smile. " I didn't know such a run would tire us so much." He chuckled and looked around the cave from his spot.
The ceiling of the cave sparkled from the ice that dripped down, forming more pointed rocks like the ones at the mouth of the cave. The walls were wet and black, and smooth from the flow of water from the ceiling. The floor of the cave was solid stone, with some pools of dark ice near the stalactites. They weren't very thick, and thinned even more further into the cave. Light from outside shown in just enough to light the entrance, but the rest was dark. It was very cold in the cave and a friggid breeze blew through it.
Draco shivered and rubbed his front paws together, while balancing on his bottom. "Norbert, what's so special about this cave?" he asked his little friend.
Norbert had been looking around the cave as well, and when Draco said his name, he turned his attention to him. "Well, to find the interesting part, you will have to go deeper inside." he thought to Draco.
"But it's so dark, how will we see what's so interesting?" Draco asked him bewildered. Norbert clicked his beak in a laugh. "That's a surprise," he said stubbornly. This confused Draco a little and he turned back to Luna. "Norbert says that we have to go deeper inside to see what's so interesting, and that he won't tell us what it is. We'll have to find out for ourselves."

Luna’s ears twitched as she listened to the male. Having caught her breath she pushed herself up to her paws once more. Looking deeper into the cave she wondered what if might be that Norbert wanted them to see. “Well then, lets get going.” She smiled back at Draco before turning to Norbert and giving a small wink. Starting forwards she moved into the darkness, her tail flicking behind her before it to was eaten by the shadows. “Coming then? Or are you scared of the dark?” Her voice echoed a little behind her as she carefully moved through the shadowy cave.

Draco jumped up and quickly followed after her. "No, I'm not afraid of the dark," he said quickly, "I just didn't want you...or myself to get hurt in the dark." She had disappeared into the darkness and Draco stared straight ahead, trying to make out her silhouette in the pitch black.
"Where are you?" he asked, hoping he wouldn't bump into her. "I don't want to -OOF-" He found her. He had walked right into her from behind. He quickly took a step back. "Sorry about that," he appologized quickly.
He heard a swooshing sound above him and looked up, pointlessly. Norbert had flown over him. "You're going the right way. It's just a little ways ahead. Can't you see that glow up ahead?" Norbert thought to him, as he landed on Draco's shoulder, causing him to jump.
"Do you see a glow up ahead?" he asked Luna.

Feeling Draco bump into her bottom Luna blushed brightly and took a quick step forwards. “That’s ok, no harm done." Her cheek burned so warmly that her imagination gave her an image of them glowing pink in this dark area. She shied her face away at the though, trying to think of a way to cause the blush to settle. She continued forward as she heard Norbert flying over them before hearing Draco’s startled jump and his question. Chuckling a little Luna nodded, forgetting for a moment that the male couldn’t see her. “Yes, I can. It’s kind of a pretty color. We’ll just have to walk carefully until we get to it.” Her steps weren’t slow, however she more shuffled her paws over the ground. She’d lift her paw just a little and move it forwards, repeating that action with all paws. This insured that she step on nothing sharp or round and hurt herself.
As she neared the light a smile spread over her face. It really was a pretty color, a pale blue bathed the tunnel they walked though. Looking about she could see what the light came from. Embedded in the rock walls where stones of all shapes and sizes. These stones glowed a wonderful blue color that ate away at the darkness of the cave. “It’s so beautiful. Norbert thank you for bringing us here.” As they walked one the tunnel became more lit, more stones lining the walls and getting bigger too. It also seemed as if they where emitting head, it was becoming warmer and if she passed her tail near the stones she feel the warmth.

Draco followed behind her as close as possible, walking very carefully. Norbert was still riding on his shoulder. He could see the glow from up ahead. Luna stepped into the light and he right after. "Wow," he said. "It's beautiful." Norbert was very pleased with himself. "I told you this cave was great." he thought to Draco. He flapped his wings and hopped down to the ground. He folded his wings again and walked around the cave, staring up at the shiny rocks.
"Thank you Norbert." Draco replied. He walked over to one of the stones and touched it lightly with his paw. It wasn't hot to touch, but emitted heat just the same. At his touch, a small piece of it broke off and fell to the cave floor. He picked it up with his toes and carried it over to Luna. He held out his paw. "It's not hot." he said, waiting for her to touch it.

Turning to Draco she looked down at the shone he held out. Taking a step closer she reached out her paw and brushed the pad of it over the stones surface. “Just warm to the touch, that’s really neat.” Looking around at the walls of the cave she knew that this was going to be a place that she would come to see often.
As she turned from Draco again her ears twitched a little picking up some noise further in the cave. “You hear that?” She wasn’t sure what it was but she wanted to know and quickly she followed after the sounds. As she got closer the sounds became louder and she knew what it was, the small waterfall coming into sight a moment later. There wasn’t much to it, it was more of a dribble right now. Luna had a feeling that was only because it was winter and all of the water above was frozen, this was only what the stones managed to melt.
It fell into a small pool before flowing into a stream that then vanished underground. The waters where so clean and blue. Another hidden beauty of the cave.
