Hey, thanks for the add! This group looks great, there seems to be a lot of people with a broad range of perspectives. Looking forward to join in with some of this discussion. Hmmmmmm....what can i say about myself. I'm an aussie from Melbourne, with a boringly happy childhood (not that i'm complaining), relatively large feet and a top hat. Guardian of the Heavens Hey, my name is Ben in real life and I like donuts xD. hey, me too! Although I'm more of a cheese fan, and on here I'm Tobias or Toby. I was raised catholic but at the moment i don't believe in any god (excluding the chairman from Iron Chef) I love arguing and I'm generally a lefty, (I'd say "liberal" but can be kinda confusing because here in Australia the more conservative party is called the Liberal Party...yes, it doesn't make sense to me either) But i try to look at issues individually rather than accepting a single political ideology. My enthusiasms are generally all too brief and fleeting, but I've decided that I'm going to change the world (how? I'm open to suggestions). Forever Losing Me At the moment I'm slightly tipsy as I just had a can of Scotch and have been dancing around the house to Johnny Farnham while I watch/listen to his lst Concert with my father, so please, don't hold anything bad against me =] My Mum's obsessed with Johnny Farnham! Well...was. She's gone off him a bit since his latest retirement. Well see you later ~Tobias

Yo! Wadd-up. My name is TheMaskBehindTheMan, but you can call me..... well anything that is somewhat recognizable.
I would give a list of things that describe me, but I can't do that, I have to much of an open mind and my values and beliefs are always changing. One time I can be a Liberal and then turn around and be Republican or Democrat. By best "skill" is being able to see both positive and negative, there's always two sides to a coin.

I'm Kristie, I'm Conservative, quiet til you get to know me and then you'll wish I'd shut up. I'm a Christian, but I have a saying, "Hate the sin, love the people." Jesus loved sinners so who am I to look down on them. I may not agree with what you do or what you believe, but that won't affect my decision to like you or not. I like debating though in reality i think it's pointless, b/c everyone comes out with the same opionion as they went in with only they're mad at everyone now. As a random fact(b/c i feel like it) I love star wars.

Hello, I'm William. I'm a freshman in college and am majoring in Philosophy. I don't believe what faith I am is important for most debates so I'll keep it to myself, nor my political beliefs.

Could I simply shoot the other debaters? Probably. Anyways, just posting a general welcome to all of you that have recently joined the guild. We're hoping you will enjoy your stay here and find topics to enjoy as well as create many to suit your own interests. Thanks for joining.

I'm KingPern (after the series Anne Mccaffrey wrote, not trying to get around any censhorhip), I'm Christian, mostly Republican but I think it is important to look at every issue and decide the best course based on what is best, not on your party or religion. I love reading/watching anything Scifi/Fantasy. I think debates do have an effect, since starting debating on Gaia, I have become more moderate and open-minded. Also, I am a pastors kid so I was raised around christians and they all had the same beliefs, debating opens your mind to what other people believe and why.

Uh, name's Kino D, pleasure to meet you all. Nn... I love to debate. I do it for fun, to pass the time, and now and then I actually give a damn. Strange, I know... Anyway, I'm very stubborn and I don't actually change my view very often, but that's because I tend to think things through before I even bring them up, that way I can always be prepared. Or maybe I'm just too ******** stupid to see reason. Yeah, that's probably the case. And don't even think about arguing THAT point, I'm stupid and stubborn and nothing's gonna change my mind on the matter, heh. I don't care much about marijuana legalization or abortion... I don't do drugs, and I'm not a woman, so why should I? I can't change the world, so arguing about anything that isn't directly relevant to my life seems pointless. Well, ranting aside, it'd be nice if someone could reply to this, make the shy new guy feel welcome and a whole pile of sentimental rubbish like that... Yeah. That's about it. See you 'round, heh.
