'Huh, this is strange... The streets were busy before now, and now it's nearly deserted.' Nina thought with her eyes closed, walking down the side walk. 'What happened to every--'
Crunch!
'Crunch...?' She thouht, suddenly halting both herself and her train of thought. Opening her eyes, she looked down to see what she stepped in.
What she didn''t expect was who she stepped on. A bloody paste of red was stuck on the bottom of her shoe. At first, she let a shilver go down her spine.
"What in the...?"

Zion sat cross-legged on the tree branch, not minding the few ants that were crawling by him, which pretty much ignored him. "Very odd," he said aloud to himself. "Either I shrunk, or the whole world grew... hm."

Arcadia paused and heard the voicesagain. "Collar?" she questioned and sat up Sh bgn loking at the cllards of ech dog once. hepaused and noticed a small iferene inone. scooig frewdd, heheld the dog still she gripethe colar.Merly inches from her face was the exact man from before but waaaaay smaller! She squeaked in surprise and shot up and hit her head on the rail.

A thought suddenly occurred to Zion. "Hmmm... I don't feel as if my metabolism has increased. And I'm not rapidly losing body heat. But, I'm shrunk. Those things should be happening." He scratched his head. "Fishy. I think it's time for some investigation." He stood up. "Investigation? Well, then, tally ho, chaps!" He nodded to the ants, still ignoring him, and looked down from the branch. "Rather high... and since I'm not losing body heat, I can't assume I'll survive the fall, since I seem to have retained my usual-size proportional properties... oy vey." He shook his head. "Takes all the fun out of it."

Arcadia head her head and her slightly bleeding tounge whispering words aalong the lines of "ow". She nodded her head and sat down asgainst said rail. "I'm ok..." she tasted blood....wonderful. She looked at him again in disbeliefe. "Tell it to mre straight...am I dead or dreaming?" she sighed and rubbed her temples

"Don't have an exact answer right now. But it seems odd that first that thing lands" At this he points at the weapon, which can still be seen from his balcony. "and then less then ten minuets later, there's an energy wave that started at the thing and made us pass out, then I just happen to wake up smaller then the average doll!!"

Arcadia held her hand out to the collar and scooped him up into her hand and set him on her shoulder. "Should we go check it out?" she asked slowly standing to her full height and looking over at the crash site

"Yes, but not the way your probably thinking. If this thing did do this, I'd rather avoid going near it, since there's no telling what other unpleasant surprises could be around it." He thought for a moment, and then realized he still had his laptop. It had shrunk with him, he had not quite gotten around to taking it off when then happened. ''Let's step into my bedroom, In the closet I've got some items that should make this easier."

Arcadia nodded and as slowly and steadily as she could, began to walk inside and off the balcony. It was hard as she concentrated on keeping from letting him fall as his dogs ran around her feet. SHe turned a corner and saw 3 doors and checked up to the last room and opened the door

The room itself had a twins sized bed with red covers, a night stand, a table and chair with a computer set up on them, a walk in closer,a set or droows, and a Large cabinet. Varios affects, including some weapions and posters, can be see about.
"Ok, in the tall cabinet, you'll find a large suitcase looking thing labeled M-14. Take that out, and I'll talk you through putting it together. We can use that to have look around over there with out being scene." He seemed to think about it for a moment. "If you look behind the night stand, you'll find a 9mm sidearm in a holster. Grab that while your at it. Could come in handy."

Aracdia nodded and set him on the bed, a nervous smile on her face. She had never used a gun before, let alone held one! Swords were one thing, but guns were a whole nex exsperience. She reached behind the nightstand and pulled out the gun, setting itnext to him as she went for the cabinet.
