((I am SOOOO sorry! I totally blanked out! Then things got hecktic at home and I haven't been on a lot))
Andri didn't like this. He looked away and down as the man gloated over his 'brilliant plan'. This had to be the most humiliating moment of his life. Right now, he was beginning to regret sneaking out of the palace.
"Hey! What are you doing now!?" He asked as the man began directing him towards a pile of filth in the back of the barn. He struggled against Celestias, trying to get away so he wouldn't be pushed into that but his attempts failed. Miserably. He landed in the pile face first and, right when he made to get out, he felt Celestias push him into the muck once more. Adriel tried fighting against the man though kept his eyes and mouth shut. He really didn't want any of this to get in his mouth.
Finally, he felt the man stop and Andri sat up, smelling nothing but the... ugh, he didn't even want to think about what he was covered in. He wished it was just dirt. With an expression of pure disgust, he reached up to wipe a bit off his cheeks and away from his nose. Most of it came off, though his skin was stained with the filth. It would take soap and water to get the rest of the mess off.
'Oh, what would mother say if she could see me now?' he thought vaguely. The Prince tuned back into what Celestias was going on about, standing up with him as he listened. There were young people out there like this in the streets? Children even? It surprised him. Did his parents know about it? Surely not. If they had, something would have been done by now.
Wouldn't they?
He frowned at the speech part. So what if he sounded educated - everyone was supposed to sound like that. If the couldn't, it was their own fault wasn't it? They were too lazy to read and write, which made them have lower jobs.
At least... what's what he'd been told. Now that he'd experienced a little of the outside world for himself, he wasn't too sure on that anymore. Perhaps it wasn't only their fault.
Andri blinked and looked down, bringing his arm and wrist up slightly to look at the string. "A man shows domiance by... string?" He questioned softly. That was a strange way of doing that. Than again, the world of the 'Lowers' - as Celestias said - must be different from the 'Uppers'. Hearing what could happen if he got separated made him make sure he was close to Celestias. Not too close, mind you (this was his kidnapper, after all), but close enough to where it was comfortable.
'This lonely piece of string is my only protection?' Andri looked a little worried but brushed it off as the door opened and he was pulled into the night. The cool air felt good against his skin and, believe it or not, he could smell more than what was on himself and his clothes.
"Where are we going anyway?" He asked, looking at Celestias - more like the back of his head. As established, he kept his distance from the man though remained close enough so he wouldn't get sepatarted.

((oh dear...now i'm the absent one...sorry^^'...btw, I thought his name was Andri?))
Celestias glanced over his shoulder. " It's called the "Underground". The name may sound kinda cliche, considering that it's located in the Underground--oh, you know the Lowers is where the poor live? Yeah, well, Underground is where the criminals and former-slaves dwell....Anyway, you'll find out how it got it's name once you see it."
And then it happened. Even though he was minding his own business, not bothering anybody or anything. Even though he hadn't done much of anything bad today, still, he felt it. And being a guy like Celestias, he had no use for it, living the life that he did. This horrible, annoying feeling...
His conscience.
Celestias quickened the pace, figuring he might outrun it. Still, it nagged at him. When he noticed Andri(el?) breathing faster, he slowed down. Eh, whoops....This guys nobility, so running all over the place like this must be a little difficult for him...., he thought. He looked over his shoulder again, determined to get on his good side, but unsure how. If there was one thing Celestias had a talent for, it wasn't friendly conversations. With your kidnappee, no less.
Clearing his throat, he started to say something, but decided against it. Rubbing the back of his head and looking forward, he said, " Ah, hey...Listen, I know we got off to a rough start, a-and this whole situation is pretty tense...." Celestias paused, his aura growing dark. " Believe me or not, if there was a simpler way to do this, one without involving you or anyone else, I would've chosen that instead...I know I may seem like the bad guy here, but I haven't killed you, and I'll be honest, I have no intention to. Thus far. I haven't touched you indecently, nor have I really hurt you in any permanent or severe way. If you'll do nothing else for me, then at least compare that to the men your about to see."

((Ah, I fixed it ^^;; And I apologize for the lateness of this post.))
This 'Underground' place sounded very suspicious... of course, with a name like 'Underground', it wasn't surprising. It wasn't the place Andri would go by choice but he really had no say in this, now did he? Although, he couldn’t help wondering why Celestias would choose such a place to go. Unless this was the place he was planning on finding people to get him into the palace. Andri couldn't allow that to happen. The only people who would know where his mother was were the King and his sister. There was no way he was getting close to either of them.
If no one would help him inside, he would probably threaten Andri again. All of this for one person... it was astounding. Though, if Celestias would just let him go, he might be able to help him. As far as he could tell, he was going to remain his hostage for some time.
He suddenly felt a change of pace, nearly running. While he had some physical training, Andri was never the athletic-type. He was slender, yes, but skinniness does not always equal athletically fit. This accused dress was not making things easier either. When his breath quickened to a light pant, he noticed the man slowed down, nearly back to their starting pace.
Andri frowned, brushing annoying strands of his white hair from his face. This man confused yet intrigued him. How often does one become intrigued by their kidnapper?
As Celestias began to speak, Andri arched a delicate white brow. 'Off to a rough start? You kidnapped me after saving me!' He thought although he was beginning to feel a little sympathy for him. Why? Don't know. "There is always a simpler path; you just have to look hard enough for it." He responded in his soft-spoken voice. He paused for a moment then said, "I don't see why you don't send a message to the King. He can tell you were your mother has gone - either he or the head of the staff can." He licked his dry lips, "Or, you can even give me the message and I can see it is sent to him. I won't tell anyone about this ordeal, if that is what you're worried about." 'They'll be too busy scowled him me escaping to worry about what where the note came from.'

Celestias stopped abruptly, turning to face the youth. He wasn't wearing his usual cocky expression, nor was he angry. Strangly enough, it was pity that was painted on his face. He looked down at Andri for a while, his eyes locked with the youth's, deep in his own thoughts. It was as if there was something he was keeping from him, something of great importance. ~If only you knew the whole truth...Then you might understand why it has to be this way.~
Celestias, with a gentle look in his eyes, re-gripped the youth's hand, making sure to keep hold, but not to squeeze too hard. He nodded to the boy, saying, " Let's keep moving, shall we?" Without waiting for an answer, he fell quickly back into his steady pace.
It wasn't more than five minuets after that they arrived at the Underground. Calling this place disgusting was an understatement. The houses were either two stories of burnt, rotting wood(from back 40yrs ago, during the Great Fire of Endbirg), or one story, with a collapsed roof and a wall of brick as the "house". There was thick mud everywhere since there wasn't a cobblestone street, and the rats can from everywhere, with no cat in sight. There weren't many people about, but the ones that were here either wandered the streets drunk looking for some "fun", or offered said "fun"--for a price. Celestias automatically pulled the youth closer to him, staring down any man who found interest in his "lady friend". They moved quickly, dispite the muck rapidly catching to their shoes. Celestias moved with confidence and soon they arrived at one of the better looking houses, a small shack with only two or three holes in the roof. Celestias lead the way into the tiny one room, where a very large, very dirty, very dangerous man stood against the wall. There was a table next to him, with a single broken glass and a candle. Celestias nodded to the man, who bowed politely, moving passed the table to greet him, then back to the wall. Celestias bent over, whispering to the youth, " Watch this."
The man tapped a small plank on the wall, which fell over slightly. He reached in and pulled out what looked like a rusted key. He then turned back and bent over, placing the key in an unnoticable hole, turning it hard, which made about five planks of wood pop up in unison. He reached under the planks, finding an pulling a rope tied to the wood, pulling the door up to reveal a hidden passage way with steps made of stone. There was a faint glow and soft noises coming from within. Celestias gripped the youth's hand more firmly, pulling him along as he lead the way down the long steps, through a muddy hall and to a door from which music, laughter, and a warm light escaped from the other side. Celestias took a breath and said, more to himself than Andri, " Here we go.", opening the door and leading the way into a grossly overcrowded, aptly named bar.

Looking into the other man's eyes, Andri saw a new emotion he had yet to see from the man. Thus far, he had only seen the man angry, arrogant, and cruel. Now, he was seeing humanity in the man who had kidnapped him. Staring up at him, Andri saw a man he might have come to befriend. Had the circumstances been different, that might be the case. Although, now that he thought of it, why couldn't they be friends?
The fair haired male blinked then nodded, not saying a word as he followed the man.
When they came upon the Underground, Andri couldn't help but look around in shock. How could this place have fallen like this? It was like the slums of Herench he had read about. Did his father know about this place? Did he know how truly pathetic it looked? His father was the King of this land; he knew everything. If that was the case, than how could he have missed this part of the city? As they traveled through the slums, Andri kept close to Celestias as they tread through deep mud, suddenly beginning to feel afraid of this unfamiliar place. This place held a sinister feel that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
Needless to say, he was somewhat happy when Celestias led him into a sad looking home, or a shack. He eyed the man against the wall, suddenly feeling incredibly small like a child. He was thankful when Celestias called his attention away from the dangerous-looking man and he watched with a child-like fascination as he pulled up a wooden trap door, revealing a secret passage that probably led underneath the pathetic shacks and homes. It reminded him of a passageway he and his sister had found in the palace. Andri opened his mouth, almost commenting on it, when he remembered Celestias' warning.
He was disguised as a woman but, if he spoke, it would give him away. Even though Celestias was beginning to be kind to him, Andri wasn't sure what the man would do if he ruined his plan. He didn't want to find out either. The slender prince shut his mouth and quietly followed his captor down into the passage, hearing the hidden door close behind them. Yet, he was mainly listening to what was ahead of them.
As they entered the room, Andri was hit by the stench of sweat, musk, ale, and other smells he didn't even want to describe. It nearly caused him to reel but he stood firm, holding Celestias' hand a little tighter than he had before. The bar, if that is what it could be called, was overcrowded by dirty, soiled men and woman who barely had a shred of clothing on them. Music was being played, though Andri couldn't see the musicians and a few barmaid walked through the crowds, carrying tries laden with half-stale bread, cheese, and ale. He remained as close as he could to Celestias, fearing some stranger might come along and separate them.

Upon entering the tavern, Celestias immediatly grabbed his hostage by the waist and pulled him close. And it wasn't just to protect him--Celestias was sure he'd lose him in this huge crowd very fast if he didn't hold on. And then where would he be? Pushing hard through a sea of druken men and easy women, he made his way to the bar, where two or three stools stood, waiting for someone to plop down and have a drink. Luckily, since the majority of drinkers preferred to sit at one of the many round tables filling the room, there wasn't anyone directly drinking at the bar. Celestias picked up Andri and place him on a stool, then took one for himself. Behind the bar, a scruffy, middle-aged man with knowing eyes turned to them. He only glanced at Celestias, but took a long look at the "female" beside him. He moved forward with an empty glass. "You'll be having the regular then, Celes? And your lady friend here?" " If you would be so kind. For her, a bowl of your soup, please. And I've told you before--don't call me that."
The man shook his head, turning to his shelves. Just then, a very pretty woman, who looked to be only thirty or so, walked up to Celestias. Compared to the other women in the tavern, she was relativly clean and her gown well-kept. She wore a dirty apron, which ment she worked here. She was carrying a plate with empty glasses on it. She sat it beside Celestias, smiling playfully. " Well well, if it isn't the prince himself! Last time you were in here, you walked out with a pretty little thing, didn't you? And how was her company, M-lord?", she asked in mock politeness. Celestias scowled. " I told you, Barella, as well--do not address me as such." He paused for a moment, then added, " And she was lovely. Worth every penny." The man behind the bar chuckled, shaking his head. " You know, back in my day we used a little something called "charm" to win the company of a lady." " For you in information, Kassic, the women who keep in my company often refuse the money, insisting they stay just one more night. Sigh...I usually have to force it upon them to take it, so they can at least have a proper meal that night." Kassic placed a large bowl of hot, blue soup before Andri, and a large glass of ale before Celestias. He took it, drinking greatfully. Barella scoffed, filling her plate with two new glasses of alchohol. "Don't believe anything he says, little lady. You'll never meet a more hotheaded fool than this.", she said to Andri. Their costumer stared at the floor for a moment, his face thoughtful. Finally, he said, " Has there been any new Blood in the Bread Room?" Barella and Kassic froze at the question, trading uneasy glances. " And what would you possibly need information like that for?", she snapped. " Your not thinking of taking a job are you, Celes...?" Celestias set his ale down hard. " Enough! I'm just looking for someone experienced to help me with a job, is all. I'm not planning of becoming one of the Shade anytime soon, so settle yourselves down.", he said, irritated. The two exchanged glances again, but said nothing.
After Barella had taken off again, Kassic turned to him. " So then--who's your lady friend? You know--and I know your not one to--but, she has a pretty face, from what I can see...If your looking to sell her..." " Her name's Irma, and I told you already. I will not be involved in that trade!" " I understand that it makes you uncomfortable, but for a guy in your position--I mean, your so young, and Barella and I hate to see you live like this....Especially since--" " Since what, Kassic? Since I lost that life I never should've had? The past is gone for a reason. The gods want me here, and you know it." " Who are you to talk like that? The gods never wish unhappiness on their people. It is man himself that brings suffering and cruelty to the innocent. So don't speak that way. Your just a boy who knows nothing of the glory of our great gods." Celestias didn't speak for a moment, taking that in. Remembering his alter ego, he suddenly felt guilty for speaking like that. " Even so, I won't build a life of riches on the suffering of others." " And what do you call your current trade?", Barella asked slyly once she returned. " Anyone can earn stolen money back. You can't earn back a lost loved one." Once she realized the main subject of the conversation, Barella shot Kassic a glare, who turned back to his glasses. Once he'd finished his drink, Celestias slapped down two gold coins and got up. " Right then. I need to see about the Bread Room. Barella, will you look after Irma for me?", he asked, gesturing to Andri. Barella smiled and nodded, taking the "girl's" hand. " Right then--c'mon." The two lead the way to the very back of the tavern, where a very large, locked door with a small hole was. On the right of the door was a small sitting area, where a few young women sat chattering away. They all had strings tied to their wrists, and the strings led to the hole next to the door, then inside the Bread Room. Celestias turned to Andri, looking him in the eyes. " Alright, so, you'll stay here with Barella--women arn't allowed in the Bread Room. Feel free to talk, but not too much, yes? I'll be back in a minuet.", he said, the dissapeared into the room. Barella lead Andri to the sitting area. " So--Tell me about yourself, hun."

Andri remained silent as Celestias talked. He did has he'd been told and kept quiet while the man talked with the barkeeper. Though, he did listen. These people knew Celestias, very well if he was right. Friends of his? Even someone like Celestias must have friends. Actually, he wasn't that bad of a guy. Despite the whole kidnapping and holding him hostage deal, Andri thought the man had some redeeming qualities. He hadn't really touched him or hurt him (besides that cut from earlier).
When the soup came, Andri wasn't too sure about it. He'd never seen blue soup before. Orange and violet, yes, but never blue. It must be something like a peasant dish. Though, as he felt his stomach growl, he decided he didn't really care. Lifting the spoon, he took a bite of it, eyes widening a little. It was excellent! For a simple appearing dish, it had a wonderful flavor.
Besides, who knows when he'll be able to eat again?
As he ate, he continued listening. When the woman - Barella - addressed him, he merely looked up and nodded a little, smiling softly. He could believe that. The next phrase perked his interest. New blood? What did he mean by that? Andri flinched slightly when Celestias slammed down the mug, causing him to look up at the man. A Shade? Andri had heard rumors about them. They were a bad sort by all accounts. At least Celestias wasn't planning on joining their ranks. Otherwise, Andri would be in trouble.
The white haired man looked away from them again, continuing to eat his soup. However, as the conversation when onto him, he tensed slightly. Sell? As in get involved with the slave market? That was supposed to be illegal! His father and the court had already wrote a law on it, banning it's use. Any man caught buying or selling would be severely punished. Thankfully, Celestias wasn't that sort of man.
'Especially since... what?' The young prince was listening very carefully now. Celestias was not always this way? Had he lived differently before? Perhaps when he was younger. Though, somehow, Andri had a feeling this had something to do with his lost mother. That suspicion was only confirmed by Celestias' next statement.
'"You can't earn back a lost loved one."'
This had to be about his mother.
Andri had just finished the soup when Celestias put down the coins and got up. Wordlessly, he stood up and followed the two towards the sitting room. There were only women in there, so it shouldn't be so bad. Growing up around mostly females, Andri could deal with the gossip and light conversations. He nodded to Celestias, though was still worried. Celestias was the only person he knew here and, needless to say, he was beginning to feel a little more out of place here. He'd already felt that, but it hadn't bothered him since Celestias was with him. Even though it was silly to say, he was grateful for the string that kept them attached.
As the man left, Andri followed the woman in the sitting room. "Well..." This was one of those few times the Gods had blessed him with a soft sounding voice. He could pass better as a female rather than with an deeper, rougher tone. He sat down, beginning to fiddle with the ends of the dress's sleeves. Pass off as a quiet girl while he had a chance to collect his story. "What is there to tell? I have only been in this city for a few days and Mister Celestias helped me from a man who was harassing me."

Barella raised an eyebrow. " 'Mister' Celestias? Goodness, he's moved fast with you. Ahaha! I've never heard any young lady call him that before! Though, that does sound like him. He usually fancies the idea of being the hero of the "damsel in distress" situation. Of course, he always uses his charms on them before they part ways. I swear, that boy has had more admirers than any man I know of! I just hope it doesn't come back at him one day.", she said with a hearty laugh. She gave Andri another once over, smiling warmly. " Ah, but your a pretty little thing. It seems he has yet to touch you--am I correct? He just might've taken a liking to you....I would be happy, if he would settle down." Barella's eyes glittered, her thoughts drifting elsewhere. It was obvious that she cared for Celestias, as an older sister my care for her little brother. But she also knew that Celestais was a grown man, able to make his own, foolish decisions. It pained her.
"Well, I wouldn't want to bore you with idle chit-chat. Lets speak of more secretive things." She leaned over with a gleam in her eye. " Tell me, is there anything you wish to know of him? Anything at all? He doesn't talk about himself, that I's sure of. Why, it took Kassic and I nearly three months just to get his name out of him! While he's busy discussing things amongst the men, I shall reveal to you anything you want to know of him. Of course, it'll just be between you and I. Men are so fragile when they realize what a woman truly knows of them. So let's let him think he's mister mysterious a little while longer!", she said in a playful manner. Obviously, the women in Celestias life knew more about him than he realized.

At first, Andri thought he'd messed up. But then, Barella continued on. He smiled softly, recalling when Celestias saved him from being maimed by that fruit merchant. Was Andri a 'damsel in distress' to him then? Honestly, what was he even thinking? Coming to town, thinking he knew it all. What did he know? Really? His sisters had warned him this would be dangerous. If he were exposed to the wrong person, it would turn into a diplomatic issue. He would held for a ransom (if he was lucky) and his father would get involved in it.
Just what was going through their minds now?
He brought himself back into the present conversation and nodded, "You're right. He hasn't done anything to me." He said. That's right. Even if Celestias was another male, Andri must have looked close enough to a girl. He could have gone through with his threat. But he didn't. It was something good Andri saw in the man.
This woman seemed very close to Celestias. It was obvious they weren't related, but Andri could see this woman as being like a sister to him. If Celestias felt the same, he wasn't sure.
The young "woman" blinked, "Secretive things?" He repeated, starting ot wonder if Barella was going to begin questioning him. He could make up stories just fine. How believable they were, well... that was a different story. Realization flashed over his green eyes and he smiled lightly. Oh, it was about Celestias. Actually, yes, Andri was curious to know more about the man who held him captive. "Well..." He began, acting hesitate, like he didn't want to pry. "Why is he like that? He acts cold, yet he saved me from that man. He acts as if he has something to hide... like he doesn't want anyone to get close to him."

Barella blinked, surprised. She sat back in her chair very slowly, taking in a deep, thoughtful breath. " Well, that's...That's certainly something that only Celestias knows, to be for sure.", she said. She looked at Andri, feeling guilty for getting her hopes up and then not being able to answer. " Actually, there might be a reason...", she said, more to herself. She leaned in close, gesturing for Andri to do the same. " Now, and I'm just guessing, but I think there I know the reason for it. I'm not sure why he is so secretive--possibly because of his trade--but as for not wanting anyone to get too close well... " When Celestias was a very young lad, not more than seven summers, he went with his father to the royal castle. Now, I'm sure he's told you that his mother used to work there--but you shouldn't believe a word of that. I know for a fact that he has blood connections to some foreign royals, or nobles, at least. He does have a foreign look and air about him though, doesn't he? Very handsome, but easily gives him away to his lies. Whatever business his father went there for, Celestias certainly wasn't going to accompany him for the whole of it. I believe he said he was wandering around the courtyard, or at least somewhere outside, when he happened upon a young girl. She was most obviously related to the royals, as she was dressed in the most lavish little thing, her white hair tied up high, with flowers decorating it. At least, that's how he told it. Mind you, I had to get him very drunk to hear this, so of course it isn't completely accurate.", she said with a sigh. " Now, Celestias, being the young fool that he was, immediately fell for the girl, spending every moment he could playing with her, even sneaking off before breakfast to find her waiting for him, always wearing the same dress, always smiling wide. He said he often gave her flowers or bugs as presents, though I never understood that because girls simply hate bugs. He insisted that she loved them, though, that they would play with them together. She sounds like a very boyish girl, indeed. " Well, as young love goes, Celestias found that he and his father would return to their country--where ever that was--a few days later. He was crushed, begging his father to let him stay. When he asked Celestias why, he told him about the little girl. Naturally, he refused, and without a chance to say goodbye, Celestias and his father left. Obviously, the boy has never returned to his home, though he has never said why he was separated from his father. Sad story, isn't it?" Barella sighed, watching Andri's reaction. For a moment she was sad, but suddenly, there was a strange glint in her eye. " Do you want to know what the most mysterious thing about that story is? When Celes told his father about the girl, obviously, he asked for her name. But the name he gave him was said to be false. His father thought he was lying, that he had made it up, though he insisted that he wasn't. You see, the name of the girl--a name which only he knows now--no one in the palace had ever heard of a girl with it. They said his description of her sounded like one of the princesses, but her personality didn't match any one of them. It was almost like she was just a ghost, stuck in the past with only Celestias to keep her company. I even heard that after he left, the servants searched high and low for her, but she was never found. Very curious indeed. " Celestias, being the stubborn a** that he is, has never given up on finding her. I believe it's the only thing keeping him going, nowadays." When she finished, Barella leaned back in her chair, sighing. She looked off to the side, her eyes searching, as though she was trying to figure it out herself.

Andri remained silent as Barella told the story, nodding at a few points. Now that he thought about it, Celestias did have a certain air about him that didn't seem to fit. At fist, he had not really taken any notice to it. There were a few oddities about Celestias that must have sparked his curiosity, but at the time it was now to be questioned. It only made sense now that Celestias was from a foreign land, but to be of royal blood? He was surprised, shocked even. How could a man of royal nobility be living like that? On the streets, conspiring and dealing with dark people and dark ways.
As Barella continued, Andri payed particularly close attention to the part about Celestias going to the palace. He tried remembering anything about foreign visitor but couldn't think of anyone. He couldn't remember any children coming to castle. Celestias must have been older than him, so if Andri was a young child, he might not have remembered it.
However, as Barella mentioned the young girl, Andri suddenly saw the image of a young boy holding out a green caterpillar and a purple tulip. It was the strangest thing because, he did not recognize the scene. The picture was blurry and he couldn't make out the boy. He didn't know who the boy was.
At first, he thought the young girl could have been one of his older sisters, Sindana or Aindira. Although, he knew for a fact they both detested insects. They both shrieked in sight of a bee or caterpillar. He also knew that his sister Rinu couldn't have been the girl. Depending on how old Celestias was, Rinu would have just been a baby at the time.
Andri nodded, "It is." He said in agreement, looking away and down at the floor. Celestias had a life of misfortune. He fell in love with a young girl then was forced to leave without saying goodbye, only to be separated from his father. Andri felt that he had sorely misjudged the man who held him captive. Actually, now, he felt that they were similar.
When Barella spoke, Andri looked up at her. 'The girl hadn't been heard of?' He thought, frowning slightly. That was odd. If the girl existed and had been part of the family, surely someone must have heard of her. Though, knowing this now, it only made it sadder.
However, now Andri knew why Celestias wanted to get into the castle. The white haired male shook his head slightly. "That's just... awful. After all these years, he's still trying to find her." He said softly. "Perhaps he ran away from his father and came back here to find the girl? But he can't get into the palace; it's too heavily guarded. How does he expect to find her, if she even exists?"

Barella sighed, sitting back. " Well...One can't say for sure about that. Celestias has been without his father for many years, and I can't say for sure myself how they separated. I do remember some details. Let's see....It was a rather stormy night, and Kassic and I were getting ready for the next heavy flow of costumers. I remember that I was surprised because he had managed to get passed our guard--you'll have seen him. His name is Malvaric. Right--as I recall, his clothes were torn and his face was muddy. I know there was blood on his dress, though we later realized that it wasn't his. He looked pretty shaken up, but never breathed a word of what happened. In all honesty, I don't think he remembers it much, himself.", she explained. At his next question, she shrugged her shoulders. " I can't answer that, I'm afraid. Truthfully, I think he just goes by whatever is thrown at him. Should an opportunity present itself, he'll take it. I doubt he'll succeed anytime soon. Trust me--he's tried before." As soon as Barella finished, the door to the Bread Room opened up, revealing Celestais's familiar orange head. He shut the door quickly, shook his head, and smiled down on them. " I've finished. Shall we go?", he said, first to Barella, then to Andri. Without ceremony, he grabbed him by the waist and pulled him up. " Sorry I can't stay--I'll speak to you soon.", he said quickly, taking off before Barella, who looked more than a little concerned, could protest. As it usually was, it was faster going out than coming in--or that might have been because Celestias was suddenly in a huge hurry. Passed the drunks, out the door, down the hall and up the stairs--until they were outside, he did not stop--or let go of Andri. Once again they were in the night air, though there seemed to be much less people lingering this time around. A wagon was slowly rolling by, and Celestias called to the old man driving it, causing him to stop. He pulled Andri by the hand over to it. " Here.", he said, picking him up by the waist and setting him on the back of the hay-filled wagon. He jumped on himself and whistled for the man to go. " Alright, we've got help.", he mumbled. He was still glancing around, as though he thought someone would pop out at any moment.
