Absolutely love them. I don't know if Caine the Longshot is such a huge part that we need an actor like Crispin Glover to play him, but it's a good choice anyways. Freddie Highmore is a little too cute for manga Zazie, but he's perfect for anime Zazie. And Malcom Macdowel looks exactly like Helmut Bakaitus, so you could use him anyways. And thanks for grabbing Doug Jones. He's SO versatile, looks the part, and I'm glad you threw him in. Now, John Cusack as Legato... It goes both ways for me. I like him, and I don't like him as Legato, but I like John Cusack himself. I think he's good, but I'm not sure if he's just right for Legato.

Okay, my new choice for Meryl Strife, although I'm still not satisfied, is.... Julia Stiles!!!  So, my reasoning..... Although she's still NOT quite the right choice for Meryl, she's a much better choice than Kristen Stewart. Plus, Julia Stiles is quite the romantic character, and if I was directing Trigun, I'd want there to be some stronger romantic relations between the character's, and I feel that's good karma. However, let me tell you WHY I'd she's a bad choice...... She's still too hot! Meryl's gotta be pretty, but really average, as well. Plus, casting an actress as romantic as Julia Stiles breaks the strain of Meryl and Vash's relationship, which would be bad karma. Still, it's a step in the right direction. Before looking at Stiles, I considered Zooey Deschannel.

of all the guys in the cast, legato is the hardest to cast. you need someone who can look completely innocent and then switch and have that killing potential around him. that is a hard quality to find in an actor
