Is there even a way we could cause a diversion? Something to get them to change course? Maryl stood up again and took a second to stretch. "Well, at least scout them out? Maybe even harry them?", she suggested to Kel so casually, "It would help if we knew what we were up against."

Kel covered his face with his hand and sighed deeply.
Seth raised an eyebrow then turned to Maryl, "Harry them?! Are you nuts?! We're trying to avoid violence, besides I think that would end badly for dad."
"Ya don't say..." Kel looked back and shrugged. "Scouting them may not be such a bad idea though."

After a few wrong turns and more trouble than she thought a few wild moles could be, Dusk finally emerged from the ground somewhat near the entrance to the refugee camp. She brushed herself off of as much dirt as she could, but in the end had to resort to using her elemental ability to collect the grain off. She had come to find anyone who would be able to help. Water had caused chaos, and it would be stupid to assume that they weren't coming back. She immediately spotted Kel, Seth, and another person.
"Nice to see you again."

Maryl hid behind Kel and peered out toward the entrance at the newcomer. "Who is she?" She clutched onto Kel's coat.

"A mood swingy werewolf who thinks about so many things at once I forget most of it before it reaches my mouth." She did a slight bow towards the girl. "I am Dusk. You are...?"

"That explains alot..." Kel patted Maryl's shoulder, hoping she would soon let go of him. "It's okay, Maryl. She runs the old tavern in capital city."
Seth folded her arms. "We'll pick up this discussion later then."
Kel turned to seth for a second, "of course."
Seth started off quietly toward a nearby barn.

"Oh, um M-Maryl Ester," She replied to Dusk, "I'm a traveling fortune teller..." She slowly let go and stepped away from Kel. She watched Seth start walking away, wanting to say something but remaining silent. She returned to her conversation with Dusk. "This is a refuge for the survivors from Terra Tanta."

"So I was told earlier by Kel." She nodded in his direction. "He doesn't like me too much. Can't say I blame him, instable beings are hard to like in the first place." She yawned tiredly. "So have you guys heard any news on when the water fleet is going to get here? There are rumors floating around saying that they already left their isles and they're headed this way."

Maryl scratched her head. "I'm not sure, it could be any day now." She looked up at the sky for a few seconds and shook her head. "I couldn't tell the day with it still so overcast from the hurricane... But, there is a way." Taking a moment to look around, she spotted her familiar perched atop an old windmill.
"Pi!", she called out. The small raven turned and let out a small caw, before it jumped off the mill, diving down and swooping up to Maryl's hat, landing on top of it and peeking down at her.

"Well..." Dusk said as she leaned up against the side of an older looking building. "Let me know if you find anything out. I'll just hang out around here. There's not much else to do other than wait now for me."

"Call me if you need me, Maryl." Kel shrugged and moved back toward his spot in front of the hospital. He sat down against the wall and pulled his hood over his head to rest again. "I can't wait for this week to end..."
Seth sat atop the empty barn muttering impatiently. She peered into the skies to the west for a moment before watching some people travel about the camp working.

Maryl looked a bit sour for a moment. She couldn't shake the feeling that nobody cared. She held a hand up to the top of her hat letting her pet jump to her finger before she lowered it and the little raven to eye level. She whispered to it before releasing it to the skies above. The raven circled the sky once before it flew off to the northwest .

Dusk took in a deep whiff of the air around the camp, it smelled of pine and crisp. It was beginning to get cold as winter drew nearer. If nothing else that meant that fire would be weaker, right? And water would not have as strong of a hold if all the water's frozen, correct? She tried to distract herself with the soon to be winter air, christmas was coming, would it be celebrated anywhere across the continent this year?

Maryl walked over to the hospital porch and stepped up, positioning herself next to Kel. She shook his shoulder to wake him up. "Um... Kel, can I ask you something?"

"What is it, Maryl?" Kel raised his head again to look over to her. His eyes drifted toward the center of town for a second. It's closing on winter, We'll have to start supply runs or the survivors will starve. He shook his head and returned his focus to Maryl. "What do you want to know?"
