This phrase has been an ongoing fad for many years, I've even caught myself saying it, the thing that irritates me about it the most is the actual definition of gay is happy or technically homosexual..therefore if you said the real meanings it sounds completely stupid and illiterate. Ex: Dude that test was so happy/ I'm grounded so I can't party, I know it's so homosexual....seriously WTF.

Winget Oh man I had some fun yesterday online. There this guy who hates it when someone takes the god's name in vain. Calls people out on it... anywho! This same guy ended up saying to someone "Oh man that so gay!" and I instantly typed in "God dayum it!" He called me out on it saying "watch you language!" and I was like "If you can use my sexuality in a derogatory way, then I'll be sure to use your faith in such a way to. Don't want me to take god's name in vein and show respect, then please show respect to me too." Guy had no comeback for that X3

I can't stand it when people say that (especially since I am bisexual so I get very offended by it) My best friend, unfortunately, says it all the time and it bothers me, but I have been trying to get her to stop saying it. But that is one good thing about people in college, they don't say immature things like that^_^

My friends don't say it around me, but I know they say it elsewhere.
it only kind of bothers me. before I came out of the closet, i'd say it to try and hide my sexuality, but it bugged me. Now it's a habit. i still catch myself saying it every once and a while.

I hate it when people say that... the topic came up in our GSA meeting (Gay Straight Alliance) and all of us agreed that it was rude and mean that people say that. Also "Thats so retarded" is also offensive and rude, I take it worse because I have a mentally retarded cousin, but it should not be said and people should respect people who are gay/retarded by not saying things like that.

It annoys me. But gay also means happy, and ignorance is bliss. right? I really think that's where it could have come from. Not homosexuality. Quote: One time, someone told me my backpack was gay.
