I think they've cancelled it because it wasn't exactly based on a very popular installment of the series, so there wasn't really a demand for the books. Maybe if they did a series of the original Castlevania or maybe SOTN or the games with Soma Cruz in them (Dracula's incarnation as a protagonist was an interesting spin on the story.) Although a Portrait of Ruin manga might have been interesting as Charlotte and John had an interesting story too.
Whoever is behind the merchandising of Castlevania books has a nasty habit of dropping the ball in terms of meeting expectations. First there was the redundant comic series about a Belmont who I think was in the GBA Castlevania Adventure game, then this manga series which hasn't even finished. neutral

I have the comic that you're talking about. I wanted to know what happened but they cut it off after the first one.
I hate it when they cut off books right when it gets really good then they have to go and cancel it. stare I really wanted to know what happened.
I was really curious about Isaac and Hectors past too.

It is a real pain when they cancel things, I was getting into that comic and I don't normally buy manga. The only thing that could count as a cosolation is that translated promotional comic of Curse of Darkness that came with the game over in Japan. The Japanese get all the cool stuff. lol

I believe that they would do that.
Wow...I didn't know that. I hope they didn't and that they bring it back. I thought that it was selling pretty well because when I would go to bookstores it would be back ordered.
