"Lousy" Roy huffed weakly. He didn't make any eye contact with the doctor, all his attention was fixated on the game. Not like it was such an interesting game though, it was just that Roy was still steamed at being stuck in such a place and decided not to make eye contact with the staff so much if he could help it.

"Well, I'll see if the nurse can get something for it." He said and pulled out the chart. "I know what its like to be stuck in the hospital. I remember back when I was about 14-15, I was out skateboarding with a few friends, next thing I knew, I had broken my ankle in 3 different places. I was in the hospital for a good month until they finally let me leave." he said with a small chuckle. "Trust me, The joy I get out of this job is saving lives and helping others continue on." He said and noticed a bloody tissue. "Have you had any bad coughing fits in the last 24 hours?" he asked.

PLAY AGAIN? Y/N

The words were boldly showing on his DS. He always enjoyed that level even though it was always a b*tch to get through without loosing lives. He would adjurn from it at the moment since the Doctor was talking to him. Fliping the game shut he answered.

"Yeah...ummm..." He thought about it for a moment. "I had three fits today, but the first one wasn't as bad as the second two."

"Well, its good to cough and get the stuff out of your system but when did you notice the blood in your mucus?" he asked, making various notes. "Don't worry, we expect you to be here maybe 4-5 more days since your test results showed nothing beyond a cold virus. However, it might be longer because of the blood but it might be nothing." he said with a cheerful voice. "I remember when your grandfather brought you in, he was shaking like a leaf and it took an hour of talking to him to calm him down. You're lucky to have somebody like him but I lost my great grandfather after my 2nd year in med school." he said but he let his smile return once more.

"I guess this is the errr the first time I guess...I really don't look." Roy said yet never really checked. Although the thought of going home soon was good news to hear. "That's good. I have to start working again. My gramps can't do anything on his own. He'd throw out his back." Roy gave a small laugh at this. "So your gramps is dead?...well...my grandfather and my sister is all I have left. My parents died in a car accident when I was really little and my sister was an infant. My grandparents immediately took us in. All he does is want's us to live happily as he says...so he keeps giving me fliers to different colleges. You should've saw his face when I said I'm not going." Yet a fit happened again. Luckily, he managed to get to it in time and covered his mouth with a tissue that now was stained with bits of blood.

Tori could hear the coughing and knew that another blood test might be needed. "I have my father who doesn't want to stand still for more than 10 minutes and my mother who is just as every bit daring as my grandfather was." he said with a small chuckle. "Now, I'm going to have a nurse come in and draw a few vials of blood to take for testing. Gotta make sure you can help out your grandpa as soon as possible." he said with a small smile. "College is a hard decision to make, even for me. It took me almost a year to go to school and it wasn't easy getting into the medical school after i completed the reqs for it. Anyway, It wasn't easy for me at first, mostly late night cram sessions for tests but once I became an intern, I was happy." he said as he wrote a note to give to the nurse later.

"Anyway, the nurse should be by and..." he started to smile for a bit. "It seems that somebody has come to visit you." he said, noting that his grandfather was just around the corner. "Anyway, get better." he said as he closed the door for a moment. "Your grandson is doing fine, we're going to do another blood test since he has coughed up some blood. We assume its nothing major and if nothing else happens, he'll be going home 4-5 days." he said as he opened the door and went off to the nurse's station. "Hello Nurse." he said with a small smile as the nurse looked up. "I swear, you never were mature." the nurse said with a small smile. "I know, I want a blood test done on Roy. He coughed up some blood and it has me worried, so would you mind?" he asked with puppy dog eyes. "Okay." the nurse said.

Jessica Had nothing to do all day. Mostly only the ER doctors had the jobs that day. Sighing she jumped as her watch went off. Sighing she looked at the clipboard in her hand and nodded, if only to herself. Standing she pulled on some scrubs and went to practically boil her hands to sanitize them. After getting a mask and gloves she went to room number 231, a surgery room with glass and then a small... auditorium of sorts. New doctors, and old could watch important surgery there. Opening the door she smiled at the other surgen there. "Hey, when is it gonna start?" She asked smiling. It would be an easy surgery, not painless, but pretty un-painful and short.

We Must Be The Change…

Looking back in the direction that Willow had left in, Victoria did not see her. Of course she didn't. A hospital was a working place, not a gossip house. Thank God.

"Willow's knew here," she replied, finally, turning back around to face him again. "She's in the ER, I think..." She ended the sentence trailing off and looked at her cup of coffee. It was nearly empty. Yawning, she went to refill it with the coffee machine next to her.

"I'm guessing around 3pm or so." he said and laid down a small chart. "Roy is doing a bit better but he had coughed up some blood so I ordered another blood test, just to make sure nothing major is going on." he said, worried for the guy. "You get to see the newbie?" he asked, noting that he had a few years under his belt. "Real nice one, Name is Dr. Willows I believe and when we get done, we can visit her if the ER isn't busy." he said with a small smile. He watched as a young child was wheeled in and Tori said, "She lives!" he started to smile as the young girl looked up at him. "Don't worry, just having a little fun and don't worry, you'll be running around with your friends in no time." he said.

Willow roamed the halls of the ER a little while longer, but as seeing no one was in need of her assistance, except her regulars. After checking them, she decided to take her lunch break. She took out her sushi, apple and diet water and began her meal, thinking about how her day was, and keeping her beeper on, just in case. She sighed, mumbled something about attractive doctors and tea, she ate her lunch in silence.

Merrick nodded, rubbing his chin. "Yes, I believe she said she was an ER doctor before she skittered off. Poor woman must be up to her knees in patients. Speaking of such, you've been very patient with me, and I truly appreciate it." He couldn't avoid the terrible pun, so he tried to laugh it off, though his chuckle came out rather weak. Picking up the rest of the rubbish that was his belongings, he tried his best to smile, hoping he might bump into the mysterious ER doctor again fairly soon. "So, ah... you said my office was by yours? Sooner I get settled in, the sooner I can get out of your hair, eh? Hehe..."

We Must Be The Change…

Nodding to the nearby office, she held out a hand. "Would you like me to take some of your crap?" she asked, smiling again. For the girl who was labeled "School Goth" in Jr. High and Sr. High School, she sure did pick a job that required some smiling.

Blinked a few times, rather surprised to hear of his belongings being called 'crap' so bluntly. "Well, ah... that's alright, I think I can manage with my...crap. I hope that was just a stab against tea, though..." He shuffled a bit, somewhat thrown off by such a rude comment. It wasn't like he had any strong bond to his stuff, but hearing someone else call it crap like that kinda messed with his head... and make him feel a little more insecure.

When the other surgeon replied "Now." she smiled and pulled on her gloves. Sighing she pulled up her breathing mask and stepped into the room. The man was wheeled in and the surgeons all set to knocking him out. Jessica took the gas and pulled it over his mouth and nose. As soon as he was out they set to work. It was a simple respiratory problem. She had to be careful in moving past other organs to get to the lungs and empty them out. The problem was that they had filled with too much fluid to empty out naturally and required surgery. After about 25 minutes something else popped up on the screen. "Wait. Go back." Jessica said quickly. The surgeon working on it lifted up a flap of the left lung.

"Oh my-" Jessica stopped and moved in herself. A medium sized blackish lump was under a fold. "Is that a-." Jessica stopped again and let the rest look. Yes, it was, a lymphoma ((Prolly not spelled right)) that is. Looking at the other doctors she closed her eyes and sighed. "Lets finish up the surgery and decide afterwards. This was a lucky time to find it."

♥Gray Would Be The Colour....

Laughing and covering her mouth in embarrassment, Victoria tried to make up for the miscommunication. "I'm sorry! I didn't actually mean that your stuff is crap!" she said in a hurry. "I just call everything crap, that's all." She was still covering her mouth and giggling a little. She could feel her cheeks getting red.

'This poor guy,' she though. 'He just got to this job and I called his stuff 'crap' ' She did really call everything crap, though. It was a bad habit that she was only able to cut when she was talking to younger patients.
